As long-standing residents of the UAE for over 10 years and loyal customers of Madina Hypermarket, we have always appreciated the quality and service provided by your stores. However, we are disappointed to report a very unpleasant experience at your Al Madina Hypermarket branch located in the Pearl Tower building, Ajman.
On our recent visit, we purchased 1 kg of beef. Upon bringing it home, we discovered that a significant portion of the meat was of extremely poor quality and largely inedible. Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have faced this issue; it has occurred on three separate occasions now.
As a regular and valued customer, I brought this matter to the attention of the store’s management. The manager responded politely and asked me to return the meat to the store. I informed them that I was at work and would be able to return it the following day, to which they agreed.
When I returned the meat today, the store scaled it at only 600 grams, indicating that 400 grams were discarded due to spoilage. The staff then offered to replace only the 600 grams, effectively short-changing us for the remaining 400 grams we had originally paid for.
Furthermore, the assistant manager’s behavior during this interaction was unprofessional, rude, and even threatening. Such treatment is unacceptable, especially from a reputed and customer-oriented establishment like Madina.
He insisted on seeing the spoiled meat, which we had already disposed of for hygienic reasons. As soon as we discovered the issue, we recorded a video and shared it with the store as proof. It is unreasonable to expect customers to retain spoiled meat for an extended period. We have no intention of engaging in disputes or seeking undue compensation — we simply expect fairness and respect.
We trust that Madina Hypermarket values its customers and upholds standards of quality and service. We kindly request that this matter be investigated and addressed appropriately to prevent similar incidents in the future.
