They knew I was in bad situation with the flees in my house and used that as an opportunity to get a contract without explaining it to me.

A door-to-door salesman came to our house and spoke with me about pest control services. The conversation we had touched on having a technician dispatched to come and treat for pests, but our discussion did not indicate that I would be signing up for a 12-month contract. When I called to cancel the service, I was told that I would have a staggering cancellation fee of $250 and would need to pay the total price for the initial service. I'd happily call it, even paying for the single-use service I thought I was signing for. Still, it's unconscionable to have a sales member click through an agreement for a customer and then hand it over for a signature when that customer thinks they're paying for a single service.
Desired outcome: I want to cancel my contract and pay the price for a single pest treatment. I do not want to pay an early cancellation fee when it was not brought to my attention that I was signing for a year-long contract.
90 day guarantee
They will not honor the 90 day guarantee because my contract has ended. Why do I need to renew my contract for another year in order for them to stand by their guarantee? Makes no sense. Other issues with them as well, primarily surrounding their techs not treating certain areas in my yard, later admitting the tech was unaware that he could. This was admitted to me on their last visit. I requested a complimentary treatment as a courtesy/apology. This was scheduled, and I stayed home all day waiting for them, but they never showed up or called. I followed up and learned the manager canceled the appt because my contract had ended. We are still within 90 days of our last treatment and I am still having a problem with spiders. Stand by your guarantee. I paid over $700 for 4 treatments.
Desired outcome: I want them to provide another treatment, for FREE, honoring the 90 day guarantee.
Home Protection Plan (FHPP)
We signed up for Fox Pest Control on June 30, 2022. We have never been satisfied with the performance of their product. We often still had pests show up. This last treatment on 07/19/2023, and noticed we had mice coming in the basement, ants on the front porch, and most importantly--our dog went into anaphylactic shock as a result to either the spray or the wasp nest that was near by (that should have been treated). We rushed our dog to the vet, and paid over $1,200 to save our dog.
Desired outcome: I wish to cancel my service without paying the cancellation fee.

We contacted FOX Pest due to an issue with Carpenter Ants - We we’re told by the telephone sales rep that FOX did not due individual service calls and that we had to establish a service agreement billed quarterly. At no time did he mention that there was a 24 Month contract and a $150.00 Termination Fee for said contract! The service was OK took two visits to control the ant problem - We decided to sell the house and will rent for a while until finding another home to purchase in the area. On May 2, 2022, I contacted Fox Pest Control for services at my home. When I spoke to the sales agent *** he quoted a price for a Home Protection plan of $150.00 for the initial visit and $52.00 a month for 24 months. Afterward, I received an email from the company with a monthly service fee of $62.00 a month. I paid the initial service fee of $150.00 for the first visit and reached out to the company and spoke with *** again to resolve the monthly service fee discrepancy. He argued that I "must have" heard him wrong in our initial conversation. I did not. Nevertheless, I told him that I would like to cancel the contract immediately as I feel as though this company operates using deceptive business practices. He indicated that I would need to speak with a different representative in order to cancel the contract. I was placed on hold for over and hour and was unable to speak with anyone. I left a call back number and emailed the company to request cancellation effective immediately. It appears this company has representatives that are on call to sell service contracts, but has no one available to cancel them.

Fox Pest Control refused to honor a payment I made for $111 dollars for quarterly pest control service at my personal home. They would not provide service unless I entered into a $45 monthly installment plan for one year, otherwise I would "forfeit" my $111. This is not a charitable contribution, it was a payment for services not rendered. I want my $111 refunded in full. This information was relayed to me via their customer service/sales
The problem originated in May 2022, I was informed by Fox Pest Control that I had an appointment for pest control, I called the office asking to cancel the service and was told I was under and could not cancel only reschedule the appointment, which I did for the end of June. I was contacted again by Fox Pest Control in August a new appointment for August which I scheduled for the end of August because I was under the impression that I was under contract for treatments. The appointment was completed and I called the office of Fox Pest Control to ask when I could cancel the service, I was informed that my contract had already ended previous year back. I asked why I was told i was under contract when I had called previous months back. I explained that I could not afford the $100 service fee and was misled into paying for services I was not contractually obligated to. They told me they would review the calls and call me *** with a resolution and I have not been contacted by Fox pest control.
Had a pest control come to my home and *** me into an account. When I did not receive an email from them within an hour I looked the company up and it is a scam. I have already cancelled my credit card but they will come after me for signing a phony contract. I have received no services from them and they have not been able to process a charge on my card yet because I cancelled the card before they could. I want out of this phony contract and I do not want them on my property.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE They LIED when they signed me up about when services can be performed. The services they perform DO NOT keep your home pest free. They ASSUME your appointment times with large wait windows and are not prompt. When you want out of your contract that THEY breached by being dishonest they DEMAND a *** cancellation fee. My biggest issue was the lies the Sales Rep told when signing me up then realizing soon after they had no intention of performing as promised, then demanding a cancellation fee when it was them who voided the agreement with dishonest tactics.

Was given a $50 discount on initial visit and was led to believe that I would be charged $64 each of the three additional visits that would happen!When tech came and did a distant service for the bees which did not work, I was informed the cost was $64 monthly! I would not sign contract! There is a bees nest, not a rodent problem!In two days, the bees were still there! With the ineffective service performed by Fox, I would not call them back!I called another exterminator! They came! Took action both inside and out! In two days, came back and removed the nest!Due the quality and negligent service, I requested a refund of initial payment!.Kayla from Westchester Fox indicated that because I did not call them back with the complaint! Why would I call them back after I was told by the tech that the office will contact me to resolve the pricing issue! After a few days, and after receiving my payment receipt, I had to contact them!Their customer service is lacking and they need to address how their service is represented! I feel a refund is in order

This company does not perform the work they tell you they do. The last visit they said they did 3 different types of applications but in reality they did only one of those applications. Also the lady I spoke to basically told me I was lying and said the tech was there for 35 minutes but my video proved that wrong. He was here just under 10 minutes and spent 5 of those minutes at his truck and stealing water from my hose which he did not have permission to do so. When they were called out on this with video proof they had no option but to accept they were caught. I have reviewed the last 3 visits and the same exact thing has happened. I pay $64 a month for this service. I would like a full refund of my last 14 payments to this company. I can only imagine all the customers they have and get away with this type of misleading and lying to paying customers. I called to cancel and they tell me they can't cancel until I talk to a service manager.
Agressive/Deceptive sales practices: Salesman used my neighbors name to convince my wife to sign a service agreement. Fox Pest Control came to my property at the time that we had a mini moth problem. We had a problem that we needed to resolve as explained to the representative. I signed a document on an iPad. My understanding of the problem and as verbalized to the representative of Fox Pest Control was that we had a moth problem and we needed to get rid of it. At no time did the representative indicate that it would be a full-year service. They sprayed a couple of times, each time was a different person, the payments were made for that service. I thanked the last representative for a job well done. The representative offered to spray for ants while he was there. The ants were not the issue. The issue was the small moths. I recently found out that what I signed for was a full-year contract and they expect payments for a full year with or without a problem. This was not known to me and I explained, by phone to the company's representative, that a full-year contract was not expected and it was not now made clear to me that this was the expectation. Now I am expected to pay for service no longer needed. I need to resolve this issue. This is harassment and it was not what I expected. Fox pest control in bayshore is scaming people, had a technician come to my home offering a one time spray of my property, since I was having a problem with *** bees I agreed to a one time service, which by the way I asked twice if it was a one time service which the sales boy insisted it was, showed me a box on hes tablet to sign to confirm the appointment, then I started seeing charges to my card of 90$ of monthly charges when I never agreed to these charges. I contacted Fox Pest Control to eradicate a yellow jacket nest and swarming yellow jackets in my back yard. When scheduling the appointment, the representative assured me that their treatment would address the issue fully. The Fox technician arrived at my home approx. 3:45 on Tuesday evening (August 2, 2022). He also assured me that the treatment would take care of the problem, but said that he would come back to check to make sure the yellow jackets were eradicated fully, and if not, he would provide a second treatment. He told me that it would take a few hours for the yellow jackets to die, but by the night of the treatment, they would be gone. It is now 3 days later, and the yellow jackets are continuing to swarm in that area in my back yard. It appears as though the treatment did nothing, and yet I was charged $250 dollars for it. When I contacted Fox Pest Control for a technician to come back out as the pests were still swarming, the representative told me that they dont provide a second visit, and that I would need to purchase their yearly package that provides ongoing treatment. I believe Fox Pest Control was deceptive in what both the representative and the technician told me. In addition, the treatment did NOT eradicate the yellow jacket, I now need to contact another pest control company to take care of this issue. I would like my $250 returned from Fox Pest Control.

I have been using fox pest control for almost 3 years now. I was planning to cancel my service with them recently but did not make a attempt as I figured that they would call to set up an appointment and that I would inform them I was cancelling at that point. No attempt was made to contact me to set up an appointment (Which they ALWAYS do) and one day someone just showed up and sprayed the front of my house for less than 10 minutes (I watched on my ring camera as the employee sprayed and left). If they would have called to set up the appointment I would have told them that I did not want the service anymore. My girlfriend called and told them they we wanted to cancel the service and they told her that we needed to pay for this final service that they did. They said that they would give a coupon because the service tech couldnt spray the full property (as the gate was locked in back because we did not know they were coming). We looked at the bill and they increased the price of the service vastly compared to any other time that we had been serviced. When we asked why the bill was so high and why we were not informed of an increase in billing they told us that it is the industry standard not to tell the customer about the increase in service charges. It seems like we are being gauged in price because we chose to cancel the service, if a price is going to increase the customer should always be informed.

When they come and knock on the door the dog gets excited, they wake the baby up, they disrupt my work day as I work from home, and they disrupt home tutoring sessions for my other child - After many unsuccessful attempts at addressing the issue when they come to my house I called the home office myself - A representative whom stated his name was *** responded to my complaint by asking me if I had a sign on my door that said "no solicitation"- I should not have to put a sign on my door when I've personally tried to address this issue with the representing company themselves, several times. - "***" continued to give me passive and rude responses to my request in which his final statement was "ok, I'll take care of it" and hung up the phone- this man not once asked me for my address, my name, or any other identifying information - I called the company back not minutes later and was given the run around, eventually forwarded to a voicemail- no return call, no explanation, no apology- nothing - I would like a return call and I would like them to stop coming to my house for solicitation purposes, without the company basically giving me an ultimatum if I choose not to put a no solicitation sign on my front door.
