I participated in airtel kbc contest on 11th march, 2007. And I correctly answered 745 questions out of 750 questions asked in the contest. My score was 3725 out of maximum 3750.in the end of contest I was informed that if you will be among the top six (6) scorer then star-plus will contact you. I want to know that who are the successful participants and how many questions they answered correctly and what was their score. I am still waiting for the reply. I contacted airtel customer care but they were not able to reply satisfactorily.
Dear sir my friends took connection under airtel flight free offer. As per this offer any person by paying Rs 550 as activation charges and Rs 399/- as monthly rent for 1st three consecutive months would get free to and fro air tickets. But despite of contacting them again and again they failed to provide the air tickets and when i filed complaint against them they are offering just Rs 500 - 1500 and are adding to there agony as they have already spend more than Rs 1000 on the complainant filed in consumer forum kapurthal. I have recently got a airtel postpaid connection as my friend was keen for it though I was going for a hutch. Now I look back and thing thats was the biggest mistake I could make. First I had a problem that verification couldn't be done, as all my family members are working the verification officer didn't find anyone home. When he called I told me you can come early morning around 10am or evening around 6:30pm or anytime on weekend but he had some problem as because of this he would had to stretch his working hours. Then my phone services got barred and then I wrote a mail for re-verification anytime of 17th march 2007 or on 19th march between 12pm-3pm but I was informed that nobody would be able to make it. But out of nowhere around 4:30pm I have a verification officer at my home luckily I had taken half day off so I could meet him. Then sometime later I get a message that to make certain payments in 24hours and within hour of that time my services are barred again. A message states to make payments in 24hours but the company cant wait till 24hours and then when I call customer care the agent gaurav was very rude and then I asked him to transfer the call to floor manager my call was put on hold for 20mins and then it was disconnected. I called again some fellow ruchit was not aware of anything. He didn't even know how to follow hold procedure... This is where I stand in terms nation's number mobile service provider for me I would say people should go with any other service provider then airtel because it has the worst services in the entire world. I would see what can nation's number 1 service provider do in terms of solving my query. Best of luck.

I booked their prepaid by paying Rs. 4100 ( Rs. 2000 connection charges, Rs. 1000 for lifetime incoming and Rs. 11000 for another talktime) but not getting advertised talktime of Rs. 2000 because it was not activated for Rs. 1 before activation of lifetime scheme. i.e. I will not be getting talktime of Rs. 2000 due to non activation of Rs. 1. Furthermore who did this activation their outlet person not trained by Airtel that how to do activation.
I live invillage deodhar of distt kullu himachal pradesh. I am customer of airtel postpaid mobile service for past3 years. For the past 6 months or so, i am not receiving my account telephone bills. Despite several reminders to the customer care number 121 and every time i am assured of receiving the bills and given a complaint number, but no action is taken. The latest complaint i was assured of action by wednesday 14 feb 2007. I am still waiting for the day. What a pathetic service from Airtel!
Sending Rowdies to collect, due amount and harassment.
As on 06.03.2007: - I am not understanding here is that, like Bank group, send the rowdies to recover the loan amount, Air tel also, started to collect the dues by sending rowdies to residence and forcing one to pay the due amount. In my case also happened, One by name “Mr Rammu” by Mobile No. [protected] came to my residence when I am away, to collect the due amount and was trying to enter the house forcible without the permission. He was sent by AIR TEL office Bangalore to collect the dues. He was forcible asking the amount without proper Identity. When number is given to call, he did not call from his mobile, but gave number to call.
How can one tolerate such incidence? It is my wish to take the Air tel network or not. If I have not paid, then you can disconnect the line rather sending rowdies to collect the due amount. There is no due from my side. This is the second day, where I have been out of network. What type of service does AIR TEL provide? Whose problem it is.! You people have not posted the cheque amount to my account and there is no mechanism to check from your end though many times I give the same details to check. No response from your end for my below mentioned mail/complaints. Hence this…

As on 05.03.07 I have been air tel network for more than 3 years. I have been regularly paying my dues. I have requested for Advance Rental plan for Rs 999/- as on 14.01.2007 vide cheque No. 617425 dated 14.01.07. And accordingly I have been allotted with the service. When I saw my Jan 07 month bill, I was asked to pay again for Rs 999/- with taxes. It was billed for Rs 1355.91 and debited to my account for due pending for the month of Jan07. Last date for payment was 8th Feb 07. I have made a call to Customer Care Service and narrated the issue, agreed and asked to pay the balance amount. Accordingly I have paid Rs 356.91 for the month Jan07.
Since then I have been receiving calls, reminders, system generated messages/calls to my mobile. Whenever I call Customer Care or they call me to my mobile, I had to explain the issue once again and have to give the payment details. Every time, new person calls and ask for details. Either he/she will collect the details from their own database or collect the details from earlier call who made.
Finnally, they had barred by calls, because of not my fault. I have paid vide Cheque No 617425/14.01.07, which was debited to my account as on 17/1/07. When I called to Customer care, again the same story. How pathetic it is!!. Every time same issue with new person. There is no mechanism to check for payments. It is understand from this issue that, no body interested to solve the issue rather raise. Whenever I ask for Team Leader to talk about this issue, they never is to allow me to talk to them or would not transfer the line to speak to them, but rather disconnect the line.
Finally, Today, i.e 05.03.2007, Morning I have received an message, saying that, “SIM REGISTRATION FAILED” AND NETWORK DISCONNECTED” .
Who ‘s fault it is? Why I should be I suffered for your mistake? When I have paid thru Cheque, Is there is mechanism to cross check? Whose fault of posting? Is it the way of providing customer “benefit” by providing concessions, discounts with “Harassment package free.” !!!! In the name of new plan / additional benefit/ package / retain customer... etc... you provide harassment package free for customers...
Now, today, my network being disconnected for not of my Fault. I request you to not to provide such benefit to the customer when harassment follows. When I have been provided with Dynamic Credit limit of Rs 4000/- then, why this disconnect? When plan is facilitated, can’t there be any logic applied? Without payment you will not activate the new rate plan.
How could you do this when I have paid the amount and debit also taken place in my account – BAL as on 17.01.07? Since then I have been harassed by your team for not of my fault. I can approach Consumer Forum for this issue. Now network is disconnected. You have already taken the advance amount as Deposit of Rs 1000/- when initially activated my SIM. When already deposit amount is there with you, how can you put me into problem? I could do injustice to me.
“These benefits are nothing but harassment free packages” . I hope you understand this issue. Hence, I have put forth before you.

One fine day when I picked up my airtel mobile to make a call I found that the outgoing facility from my airtel no has been taken away. I go to the nearest shop and get my airtel prepaid account filled up. Even after that the outgoing facility from my airtel no has been debarred. Airtel is in a way snatching money from the customers in turn of no service. Feel like dragging airtel to consumer court. Can somebody tell me any address or no where I can solve this problem before going to consumer court.

Airtel Customer Service -121-really hopeless. If really anybody is in duty for customer service at 121 of Airtel - then - why it is like this? I responded to your KBC3 direct entry contest which concluded on 18th Feb'2007. I was a participant who very eagerly contested in this contest. But after 18th Feb'2007 everyday I sent message to 121 asking the result. Every time automatic reply was there from 121 that "we will revert back to you within 24 hours". But I could not understand that for Airtel there was no word like 24 Hours because till this 24th Feb'2007 I have not received any reply stating the result respite repeated sms message to 121 asking the result.
If any higher official from Airtel is reading this complain please tell whether the Airtel KBC3 contest was just a fake or not. If it is real contest - then why Customer Service employees are acting this dumb acting. What is the problem?!
Also note that I have sent e-mail to [protected]@airtelindia.com asking the same question. There also the same activity - what I or anybody should call it - IRRESPONSIBILITY OR NOT?
If Airtel persons are doing everything honestly then they should keep courage to reply to the customer promptly for customer satisfaction. Otherwise don't send so many offer messages etc etc to the mobile all the time from 121 - because if Airtel persons can't reply to a simple query how they can send so many messages and expect something - which are means of collecting rupees in different ways - they should not do like this.
I used online banking facility provided by my bank (Citibank) to refill my prepaid Airtel account through a top-up of Rs. 777. Upon quiring Airtel's toll free number(170) with RC 777 the information that I received is as follows:

However the amount that was credited to my airtel prepaid account was only Rs593. Upon talking to Airtel C S E, I was told that Rs. 99 have been deducted as processing fee.
Now, this amounts to cheating. This is completely in contrast with the information that they furnished. They told us that no processing fee would be levied, but, when a customer pays them the money they forcibly extort money by way of giving him wrong information.

Provided telephone/broadband services 8 nos. Promised group billing / group pulse / centrex / uninterrupted services. Failed on all fronts. When contacted it took six months for centrex and 1 year for group billing and group pulse/billed for 6 DSL connections against 3 nos.failed to reconcile accounts which were excess billed and collected.
When stopped payments and complained to disc connect lines, waived all previous out standings and requested to be a esteemed customer but failed once again to go by its promise. Settled for a figure to finalize the accounts and after collecting the cheques disconnected the lies and sent a legal notice for complete payments. No transparency in the working pattern.
Don't reply to the mails/complaints. Instead try to settle issues on telephone with out any valid proof to argue at a later date.

If you are a customer of airtel prepaid USA call India then be careful, keep checking your account (money) regularly. They are deducting extra money on each call. It happened with me today itself. They deduct $0.02 extra. When I called up their customer support. They accept there is a mismatch of figures and glad that they will take action with in 24 hours. Let me see. Its by chance I calculate the money today. Otherwise I do not know since when its happening. Be careful. I wish if I could have sunil bharti mittal email id/phone no? Hi, I have got information for all the nri's who r using airtel.. The airtel callhome service is being provided by ibm in india. Ibm is the key company to outsource airtel and the services provided by such a big company like ibm sucks... So we need to question ibm ans together we can go ahead and sue it so that all the harassment caused to us should come to an end... So all fellow indian americans lets put an end to it and lets take a vow not to deal with such a company. Here are the following list of some of the managers with whom I had a word and with lot of research I got their numbers [protected], [protected] cal these suckers and tell them the problems.
I had made a full and final payment for my IBM CUG corporate Airtel connection on 27-01-2006. I have all the proofs by way of bill payment receipt. Even after settling the account, Airtel has filed a case against me. It is beyond my understanding how Airtel can harass me even after bill payment. I am facing this harassment for the past one year by the Airtel people calling up again and again in the pretext of different people. I don't get any response for the mails forwarded to higher authorities of Airtel. After every 3 months, a different lawyer calls up for the bill payment.
I am left with no other choice than to file a case against Airtel in the consumer court for causing me mental agony.
