airtel kbc contest results

I participated in airtel kbc contest on 11th march, 2007. And I correctly answered 745 questions out of 750 questions asked in the contest. My score was 3725 out of maximum 3750.in the end of contest I was informed that if you will be among the top six (6) scorer then star-plus will contact you. I want to know that who are the successful participants and how many questions they answered correctly and what was their score. I am still waiting for the reply. I contacted airtel customer care but they were not able to reply satisfactorily.

    I played short cut to KBC on 11th March & answered 723 questions correctly. But I have not received any response from star TV.

airtel cheating its customers!

Dear sir my friends took connection under airtel flight free offer. As per this offer any person by paying Rs 550 as activation charges and Rs 399/- as monthly rent for 1st three consecutive months would get free to and fro air tickets. But despite of contacting them again and again they failed to provide the air tickets and when i filed complaint against them they are offering just Rs 500 - 1500 and are adding to there agony as they have already spend more than Rs 1000 on the complainant filed in consumer forum kapurthal. Airtel cheating its customers!

I have recently got a airtel postpaid connection as my friend was keen for it though I was going for a hutch. Now I look back and thing thats was the biggest mistake I could make. First I had a problem that verification couldn't be done, as all my family members are working the verification officer didn't find anyone home. When he called I told me you can come early morning around 10am or evening around 6:30pm or anytime on weekend but he had some problem as because of this he would had to stretch his working hours. Then my phone services got barred and then I wrote a mail for re-verification anytime of 17th march 2007 or on 19th march between 12pm-3pm but I was informed that nobody would be able to make it. But out of nowhere around 4:30pm I have a verification officer at my home luckily I had taken half day off so I could meet him. Then sometime later I get a message that to make certain payments in 24hours and within hour of that time my services are barred again. A message states to make payments in 24hours but the company cant wait till 24hours and then when I call customer care the agent gaurav was very rude and then I asked him to transfer the call to floor manager my call was put on hold for 20mins and then it was disconnected. I called again some fellow ruchit was not aware of anything. He didn't even know how to follow hold procedure... This is where I stand in terms nation's number mobile service provider for me I would say people should go with any other service provider then airtel because it has the worst services in the entire world. I would see what can nation's number 1 service provider do in terms of solving my query. Best of luck.

    I completely agree with Jitin, Airtel postpaid is the worst service provider ever seen.... the Customer Care executives are big Dumbs... they do not even know how to handle the call... If ask them to transfer the call to there manager they simply through the call into a loop, which never ends... THOSE UNEDUCATED IDIOTS CAN ONLY GET JOB IN AIRTEL... BEC AIRTEL DO NOT VALUE CUSTOMER... I REGRET taking Airtel Services... NEITHER THERE IS ANY ESCALATION PROCEDURE NOR U CAN CONTACT THE MANAGERS...

    I agree indeed AIRTEL is really fooling around. I have call drop problem and its 6 months that i am facing it. I call up those dumb people at Customer care and they know 2 lines, sorry for ur inconvenience and it will be done rite... I am sick of Postpaid services it really is worst in the world.Being the fastest i thought they would value the calls. Till this day nothing has been done about the calls, nor they wanna do anything. No one attended to the complain leave solving the problem. India will remain the same if this happens, people pay, why... to get good services, we have no option and companies like Airtel enjoy this time. I really regret this.

    I want to humbly submit though your medium that on 27th August, 2006 i had requested (via SMS) the company through their local branch of Agra (India) to disconnect my post-paid connection and return my deposit money after deducting the dues or any outstanding payments which was immediately confirmed by the branch.

    Later on, I also submitted a written application to do the same on 2nd September, 2007. As a result of which the connection was disconnected after few days.

    Now, after nine months, the company has sent me a bill of Rs. 5000/- along with a notice to clear it soon.

    I am a respectable law abiding citizen and I have done everything through the proper channel to get my card disconnected. On the contrary the local branch of Agra (India) fof Bharti cellular (Airtel)has been widely acknowledged by the local people being notorious and mischievously in hiding the facts and information from their customers as well as from the company's higher authorities. Such cases of harassment and cheating have been constantly reported in the locality for a very long time.

    Due to delay in paying the bill my mobile has been disconnected. with in two days i paid my bill. I paid my bill on 17 th november, but they restored my connection on 29 th of the same month, that to after several requests. There are so many complaints about service, but the org. have least bother about customers. its true, i got several example to prove my complaints. I am planning to approach hon. course of law against the company.

talktime not given as per plan

I booked their prepaid by paying Rs. 4100 ( Rs. 2000 connection charges, Rs. 1000 for lifetime incoming and Rs. 11000 for another talktime) but not getting advertised talktime of Rs. 2000 because it was not activated for Rs. 1 before activation of lifetime scheme. i.e. I will not be getting talktime of Rs. 2000 due to non activation of Rs. 1. Furthermore who did this activation their outlet person not trained by Airtel that how to do activation.

not receiving bills despite several reminders

I live invillage deodhar of distt kullu himachal pradesh. I am customer of airtel postpaid mobile service for past3 years. For the past 6 months or so, i am not receiving my account telephone bills. Despite several reminders to the customer care number 121 and every time i am assured of receiving the bills and given a complaint number, but no action is taken. The latest complaint i was assured of action by wednesday 14 feb 2007. I am still waiting for the day. What a pathetic service from Airtel!

disconnect the network and sending rowdies to collect the due though paid in advance

Sending Rowdies to collect, due amount and harassment.

As on 06.03.2007: - I am not understanding here is that, like Bank group, send the rowdies to recover the loan amount, Air tel also, started to collect the dues by sending rowdies to residence and forcing one to pay the due amount. In my case also happened, One by name “Mr Rammu” by Mobile No. [protected] came to my residence when I am away, to collect the due amount and was trying to enter the house forcible without the permission. He was sent by AIR TEL office Bangalore to collect the dues. He was forcible asking the amount without proper Identity. When number is given to call, he did not call from his mobile, but gave number to call.

How can one tolerate such incidence? It is my wish to take the Air tel network or not. If I have not paid, then you can disconnect the line rather sending rowdies to collect the due amount. There is no due from my side. This is the second day, where I have been out of network. What type of service does AIR TEL provide? Whose problem it is.! You people have not posted the cheque amount to my account and there is no mechanism to check from your end though many times I give the same details to check. No response from your end for my below mentioned mail/complaints. Hence this…

As on 05.03.07 I have been air tel network for more than 3 years. I have been regularly paying my dues. I have requested for Advance Rental plan for Rs 999/- as on 14.01.2007 vide cheque No. 617425 dated 14.01.07. And accordingly I have been allotted with the service. When I saw my Jan 07 month bill, I was asked to pay again for Rs 999/- with taxes. It was billed for Rs 1355.91 and debited to my account for due pending for the month of Jan07. Last date for payment was 8th Feb 07. I have made a call to Customer Care Service and narrated the issue, agreed and asked to pay the balance amount. Accordingly I have paid Rs 356.91 for the month Jan07.

Since then I have been receiving calls, reminders, system generated messages/calls to my mobile. Whenever I call Customer Care or they call me to my mobile, I had to explain the issue once again and have to give the payment details. Every time, new person calls and ask for details. Either he/she will collect the details from their own database or collect the details from earlier call who made.

Finnally, they had barred by calls, because of not my fault. I have paid vide Cheque No 617425/14.01.07, which was debited to my account as on 17/1/07. When I called to Customer care, again the same story. How pathetic it is!!. Every time same issue with new person. There is no mechanism to check for payments. It is understand from this issue that, no body interested to solve the issue rather raise. Whenever I ask for Team Leader to talk about this issue, they never is to allow me to talk to them or would not transfer the line to speak to them, but rather disconnect the line.

Finally, Today, i.e 05.03.2007, Morning I have received an message, saying that, “SIM REGISTRATION FAILED” AND NETWORK DISCONNECTED” .

Who ‘s fault it is? Why I should be I suffered for your mistake? When I have paid thru Cheque, Is there is mechanism to cross check? Whose fault of posting? Is it the way of providing customer “benefit” by providing concessions, discounts with “Harassment package free.” !!!! In the name of new plan / additional benefit/ package / retain customer... etc... you provide harassment package free for customers...

Now, today, my network being disconnected for not of my Fault. I request you to not to provide such benefit to the customer when harassment follows. When I have been provided with Dynamic Credit limit of Rs 4000/- then, why this disconnect? When plan is facilitated, can’t there be any logic applied? Without payment you will not activate the new rate plan.

How could you do this when I have paid the amount and debit also taken place in my account – BAL as on 17.01.07? Since then I have been harassed by your team for not of my fault. I can approach Consumer Forum for this issue. Now network is disconnected. You have already taken the advance amount as Deposit of Rs 1000/- when initially activated my SIM. When already deposit amount is there with you, how can you put me into problem? I could do injustice to me.

“These benefits are nothing but harassment free packages” . I hope you understand this issue. Hence, I have put forth before you.

    Hi,

    Request you to look in to this matter.
    I have a concern regards to the mobile connection which i am using from Airtel side(postpaid). I took a airtel sim in the month of June 2009. The reason, i was using a vodafone connection and the same has network issues in my residence area. When i mentioned the same to the agency who gave me the airtel sim " they claimed they are in no in service provider for karnataka and please move to us to get rid of network issues.

    over the next three months everything was working fine. Then from September 2009 i started facing a problem of call drop of 1 secs and getting charged for complete minute. For this concern i have placed a request with there customer support which said they will get back to me with in 48 hrs to my surprise no one called up me and there is no network promise bonus given to me.

    Again i went a head a lodged a complain with them in October, November, December bu there is no response from them. One answer i can hear from airtel side is they will get back to me.

    In the month of december i wrote to the nodal center asking them to reworks on my bills and asking them to work out the network issues in my area even i am ready to pay for the boosters. The nodal center got back to me saying there is some network issues going on in my area and they will visit my area in next 15 days, again waited for 15 days to hear from them but no response then i have decided to send them a reminder mail but still no response...

    Then finally decided to call customer care as a extreme step and inform them that i wont be making the payments untill u people come back to my complains...

    Still no response from airtel side, and i decided to hold there payment. Instead of resolving my problem the airtel team started giving me recovery calls and started charging the late payments to my account.

    Till now they haven't got back to me very day i call them and check what is the status of my complain. But they have only one answer we will get back to you in 24 hrs time but no one get backs to me.

    Now the condition is more morst that the managers of the airtel wont even interact properly.
    This is the worst kind of a service i have ever faced from any service provider. at least airtel being such a brand shud concentrate on customer concerns.

    Now i think better were Vodafone people, who use to stick on there promise and admit there mistakes and provide there resloution. Such a worst service is airtel.

airtel has taken money and still debarred outgoing and incoming call facilities!

One fine day when I picked up my airtel mobile to make a call I found that the outgoing facility from my airtel no has been taken away. I go to the nearest shop and get my airtel prepaid account filled up. Even after that the outgoing facility from my airtel no has been debarred. Airtel is in a way snatching money from the customers in turn of no service. Feel like dragging airtel to consumer court. Can somebody tell me any address or no where I can solve this problem before going to consumer court.

dumb 121 customer service!

Airtel Customer Service -121-really hopeless. If really anybody is in duty for customer service at 121 of Airtel - then - why it is like this? I responded to your KBC3 direct entry contest which concluded on 18th Feb'2007. I was a participant who very eagerly contested in this contest. But after 18th Feb'2007 everyday I sent message to 121 asking the result. Every time automatic reply was there from 121 that "we will revert back to you within 24 hours". But I could not understand that for Airtel there was no word like 24 Hours because till this 24th Feb'2007 I have not received any reply stating the result respite repeated sms message to 121 asking the result.

If any higher official from Airtel is reading this complain please tell whether the Airtel KBC3 contest was just a fake or not. If it is real contest - then why Customer Service employees are acting this dumb acting. What is the problem?!
Also note that I have sent e-mail to [protected]@airtelindia.com asking the same question. There also the same activity - what I or anybody should call it - IRRESPONSIBILITY OR NOT?

If Airtel persons are doing everything honestly then they should keep courage to reply to the customer promptly for customer satisfaction. Otherwise don't send so many offer messages etc etc to the mobile all the time from 121 - because if Airtel persons can't reply to a simple query how they can send so many messages and expect something - which are means of collecting rupees in different ways - they should not do like this.

    I am also one of their client which was harassed by them for a month. My brother was using number 9810915125 when they started the series 99 I took it but was using Reliance. After paying rental for four month I thought to activate my number 9910915125. then the hell broke after fifteen remainders to activate my number they didn’t have any clue. They said their was problem with the sim& they will supply me the duplicate sim. Most of their customer care executive were making lame excuses that server is down they were not able to see the records or they had passed their request to technical guys, but they are not working on the complain. After several reminders they send me the sim with the assurance that it will be activated after calling the customer care. but my number never started after several call to customer care. They didn’t have the clue what was wrong. I am really troubled to call them the bunch of unprofessional Not having the basic manners & not aware of their job. I remember most of their names, when I asked to transfer my call to senior officers they didn’t comply. After many request they did transfer my call to them but they were also inefficient I asked what was problem they didn’t know. I asked what is my complain number so that I can use them as reference if I have to call again. they were hesitant to give. at last they said your mobile number is your complain number. Third officer gave my the address of their franchise address of vashali saying that they are the person who could help me .My brother wrote email to their nodal officer, appellate officer & one to CEO desk asking them to help us & please give us written replay why nothing is done at their front. They never bother to replay our I mails .When we tried their phones it was directed to other person who never picked it. After failing at that front i approached to their franchise Haris enterprise vashali, they said that it will be done from the customer care In front of me they called air tel officers and took some token number and said my phone will be activated with in 4 hours. two days passed still no development at airtel front. When i approached harish enterprise they gave other assurance that it will today start. At home I came to know that airtel will send other sim as the duplicate sim which was given to me was mistakenly supplied to me. Third sim arrived with the new assurance it will activated with in four hour. but again the same thing no activation of sim& cold replay the customer care & their officers. Again I was forced to approach their franchise. the lady was sorry for my troubles She again called his officers stating all my problem but she didn’t give any solution. Her call came thrice asking is my sim activated but her work felt in the deaf ears. No activation of my number.

    Again i went to the franchise she asked me not to visit as she felt troubled for my in convenience. she again called her officers& said that she will update me on the phone on every development. lastly my phone started the first thing which came on my phone was 800 bill. Although their was no out standing bill on that number and when I approached the customer care they were not aware. One representative did call me I asked him why no action was taken to solve my problem He said he will go to all record and will get back to me to tell what went wrong. i am still waiting for his replay
    Three sim, several calls, many emails& several visit to franchise is not assurance to get your work done by Airtel people & last sending bill without outstanding.

    i am vivek . i am using airtel ,my 30 rupees has been deducted from my account as ringtone club memebership but i didn,t load ringtone or hellotune from this services. why so i am suffering problem after this ,this thing is happening since 2 months,i told to customer care but no any action taken

    This is the second time I am unable to connect airtel gprs. I don't know the reason behind this neither I am getting any help from your side. Previously I was tried for two months in January, February but I failed it and lose for Rs.500/- for this. Again I am trying but getting same problem as well. I need very much of yours engineers to solve this problems whether my PC is supporting or not for the same. As the my PC is latest version Window XP Service pack 2 of Original Compaq Pressario model.
    At the same time i want ask you the reason for locking the customer care through my mobile as it cannot be talk to executive.

    Airtel 'Ringtones Club' is a mockery!These guys loot with impunity and should be taken to task!!They deduct amounts from your balance & load un-called for ringtones if you mistakingly respond to their sms message.So beware.

airtel cheating customers

I used online banking facility provided by my bank (Citibank) to refill my prepaid Airtel account through a top-up of Rs. 777. Upon quiring Airtel's toll free number(170) with RC 777 the information that I received is as follows:

Calling Value 692.27
Validity 0 days
Processing Fee 0
Tax 84.73

However the amount that was credited to my airtel prepaid account was only Rs593. Upon talking to Airtel C S E, I was told that Rs. 99 have been deducted as processing fee.

Now, this amounts to cheating. This is completely in contrast with the information that they furnished. They told us that no processing fee would be levied, but, when a customer pays them the money they forcibly extort money by way of giving him wrong information.

    Airtel is cheating its customers. I sent requst for SMS pack of Rs. 38 but they deducted its four times. when i made comlaint to their customer care they said it will be refunded but it is not refunded despite of three reminders.
    moreover third time they said it can not be refunded because, in this period of 15 days, you have used 2 or three SMS.
    It means those 2or 3 SMS that I have done costs me Rs. 148.

    After that their executives asked shamelessly " yeh refund to nahi ho sakta aur koi sewa ho to bataiye".

    I am Triloki Nath. I confirmed the availability of full talk time top-up card for my prepaid connection 9810246782 from Airtel Customer Care & then purchased a top-up recharge card for Rs 345/from authorised Airtel dealer at PVR Vtkas Puri on 21.09.2008 around 7.00 pm. But my account was credited by Rs 307/- only. I brought this to the notice of the dealer who behaved very arrogantly and despite my repeated requests, he asked me to leave his premises AND threatened me theat he will see as how could I use my connection or the talktime at all. And to my utter surprise, my airtel account has mischieveously been DEBITED by Rs 307/- And, also I am receiving numerous bogus & unsolicited offers resulting in instant debiting of my account.

poor service!

Provided telephone/broadband services 8 nos. Promised group billing / group pulse / centrex / uninterrupted services. Failed on all fronts. When contacted it took six months for centrex and 1 year for group billing and group pulse/billed for 6 DSL connections against 3 nos.failed to reconcile accounts which were excess billed and collected.

When stopped payments and complained to disc connect lines, waived all previous out standings and requested to be a esteemed customer but failed once again to go by its promise. Settled for a figure to finalize the accounts and after collecting the cheques disconnected the lies and sent a legal notice for complete payments. No transparency in the working pattern.

Don't reply to the mails/complaints. Instead try to settle issues on telephone with out any valid proof to argue at a later date.

deducting extra money on prepaid us calling card

If you are a customer of airtel prepaid USA call India then be careful, keep checking your account (money) regularly. They are deducting extra money on each call. It happened with me today itself. They deduct $0.02 extra. When I called up their customer support. They accept there is a mismatch of figures and glad that they will take action with in 24 hours. Let me see. Its by chance I calculate the money today. Otherwise I do not know since when its happening. Be careful. I wish if I could have sunil bharti mittal email id/phone no? Would like to talk to him about this issue. Its disgusting.

    We have been Getting several Telemarketing Calls from Connect2world from India, they keep calling and calling day and night.

    Finally, we signed up for $20 with my Visa card. They Promised that they will activate my service within 10 mins of time. It has been more than 25 Days, my service is not activated.

    Moreover, today when i received my card statement, I was a bit shocked to see a $200 Charge by connect2world.

    Now, when I called the customer care number: 1-714-464-7400, no one picked the call. I was more Surprised when a Person by the name of Maksud Received the Call and said that the order was placed for $200 by me. When I said no, he started Arguing with me and later he started abusing me in very bad words.

    Finally, he said that he will block my service and make sure that I do not get my Money Back.


    For my uttermost Surprise, I also had a talk with the Call Center owner and he was just laughing his hearts out.


    I just want to aware all the Indians in USA and Canada, that please do not entertain any telemarketing calls from connect2world as this is my experience with them.

    I have nothing more to say apart from making a complain to BBB and lets see what else I can do to them.

    I did refer my friends to Maksud, I also need to check what He has done to my Friends.

    Connect2world is a Fraud Company, so please beware of Scams.

airtel and ibm a big fraud

Hi, I have got information for all the nri's who r using airtel.. The airtel callhome service is being provided by ibm in india. Ibm is the key company to outsource airtel and the services provided by such a big company like ibm sucks... So we need to question ibm ans together we can go ahead and sue it so that all the harassment caused to us should come to an end... So all fellow indian americans lets put an end to it and lets take a vow not to deal with such a company. Here are the following list of some of the managers with whom I had a word and with lot of research I got their numbers [protected], [protected] cal these suckers and tell them the problems.

billing problems and customer harassment!

I had made a full and final payment for my IBM CUG corporate Airtel connection on 27-01-2006. I have all the proofs by way of bill payment receipt. Even after settling the account, Airtel has filed a case against me. It is beyond my understanding how Airtel can harass me even after bill payment. I am facing this harassment for the past one year by the Airtel people calling up again and again in the pretext of different people. I don't get any response for the mails forwarded to higher authorities of Airtel. After every 3 months, a different lawyer calls up for the bill payment.

I am left with no other choice than to file a case against Airtel in the consumer court for causing me mental agony.

    I have been using Airtel prepaid connection since 8th July, 2006. I had faced two problems of amount deduction. So let me explain both of these:

    (1) After purchasing new connection on 8th July, 2006 I was deducted Rs 30 (approx) after few days using it. I called to Customer Care and they replied "The roaming charges has been deducted due to negative balance of the previous customer". The problem has not been solved.

    (2) On 4th February, 2007 Airtel has deducted Rs. 138 without any reason. I had not sent request for "Hello Tunes" or anything and received 10 sms from 6781 and 6782 that your Hello tune has been activated and thank you for downloading dogs tune. I called to Customer Care they were just tried to piss me off though they didn't care about my problem. So the issue has been closed. I wasted too much time in talking to Customer Care but they did nothing.

    I have all sms saved in my inbox. I would have felt better if I get my money back which has been deducted by the fault or any other matter.

    Sub: Withdrawal of Free Incoming while Roaming

    Dear Team,

    I opted for 02 connections of Tata Indicom in Aug'06 and since then i am paying heavy bills & suddenly one day i got a shocking news that they are withdrawing this scheme and what is this when i took the two connection because of this service only then why you have withdrawn your services. I am very unhappy with the services & the customer care team of Tata. I think your competitor Reliance is most trust worthy because they don't withdraw the schemes what are beneficial for customers. This is very ridiculous and i will surrender my connection very soon.

    I am airtel prepaid user and my number is 9940ssssss. Someone is making blank calls to my number and talking very indecently... We could not trace him since he is a airtel prepaid user and he did not give any address proof for his prepaid card. He had also collected my family details from the address proof i have given while buying an airtel prepaid card.

    Airtel has a serious problem with their bill payment system for add-on connections. This would affect those who are making an online payment. Problem has been reported to Airtel and the ticket number Airtel has provided is: 13615899. I have also provided the payment reference number: 7441286823.

    Whenever an add-on connection is taken, Airtel associates a second account number to the second phone number. Subsequently when a payment is made using the second account number, though the payment gets processed and debited from your account, Airtel has no clue or trace of the payment.

    Additionally the bigger problem is the fact that the customer care is not ready to understand and respond to the problem. I reported the problem long back and subsequently I provided all the details they needed but no one has responded or are aware of the details I submitted.

    This is such a frustrating experience and I never imagined this is the way they treat customers who are using their services for almost 7 years now.

    The same case is happening with me
    i have also made full & final settlemet in August but now again Airtel has started sending bills to me.
    & their lawyer calling me for cosequenses if i dont pay the bill

    bill no:887094518 we have not recieved our monthly bill as per time schedule...so we went to airtel customer office -saidapet ON 23 SEPTEMBER 2010 4.35 PM...we enquired about our bill...they told the bill was RS.1039/ and also told in phone to pay RS.1039/ we have payed RS.1039 ON 23/9/10, IOB CHEQUE NUMBER-964463...BUT WE HAVE RECIEVED OUR BILL COPY ON 25 SEPTEMBER EVENING .THEIR THE BILL AMOUNT WAS RS.1701.WE CALLED THEM THROUGH PHONE THEY TOLD TO PAY THE REMAINING AMOUNT RS.662 WITH FINE ON 25..BECAUSE OF YOUR MISTAKE WHY SHOULD I PAY????????????SO PLEASE TAKE THIS MATTER AND TELL ME HOW TO PAY MY DIFFERENT AMOUNT ????????????????????
