Ridiculousness
I am going to write a review that directly reminds people- the true definition of a review. Its significance-it's undermining purposes for each and every "entity" who veers interest in the same experience with whatever it may be that I have provided a review for. This company-this soon to be bankrupt and probably highly sued company- is not anything you would ever expect to receive from a company. First off let me declare my relation to speak on this specific company. I am tribal my Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska enrollment ID is A007639. From the looks of it, it's pretty obvious when something is Unmissable and unmistakable. Typically, and everybody knows why. So, I am going to guess this company is naturally driven by Native Americans. How dare I not say, "my people"? Because we are all people, I mean like I am trying to stray away from man intended division and step towards identification and prosperity among all who natively walk this earth. Yes, I am proud, but this company makes me irate. -pt 1 of predicted review series. tbc.
ps. Helpful hint for Air talk, if you guys are having issues funding customer support representatives- something can be figured out. I would be more than happy to become one for volunteer ship reasons. Yes, it's that kind of bad. I pity you almost cause why aren't you hiring when average wait time on phone is well over 2 hours. You are like DSHS, yet other companies share your consumer base- unlike DSHS who literally solely handle's everyone as their consumers. So why? Like I said it's a series- so be prepared.
Recommendation: look I am hoping my reviews will help them see what they are showing themselves as and they will dramatically get it straight so- time will tell- I've only began my series.
Lousy service
i got on air talk and ordered their service,but could never get the phone to work,you are unable to talk to a live person,when you call its voice activated,hold time was 4 hours and then they hung up.so from 12/14 to now the problem hasnot been solved.the service is lousy,no person on the other end,not helpful,but they will take your money.i am on day 7 trying to get assistances,no luck .maybe this company shouls be taken out of service.
Recommendation: go to a different company if you dont you will reget it.

Customer service just informed me that calls to 611 count against your lifeline minutes, here is what their own terms and conditions says, “Voice minutes are not deducted for calls to 911, *611, 988, or AirTalk Wireless Customer Support, and all phones will be able to call 911, even if they have no minutes remaining. AirTalk Wireless may require the customer to call the toll-free customer care number from another phone if necessary to resolve technical issues related to the handset or its programming“. There is no explanation on the terms and conditions page what the “*” means. I used this service for almost a year
I used this service for almost a year. My phone got messed up, so I paid for an upgrade. They sent me the wrong phone, and it didn't even work for making calls. I returned it, but now they won't send me the replacement that I already paid for. They got the phone back, but they won't give me a refund or send me the phone I paid for. This company is a joke. It feels like they're stealing from me when I pay for something and they won't give it to me. The lady in customer service wouldn't let me talk to a supervisor and just hung up on me.
Customer support is unreachable. I am having problems with my application through the website even though I am approved for ACP. The phone number is only for existing customers, the contact form on the website never sends, and in the online live chat I waited for over 2 hours just to be put back in the queue right after my first question was answered. They claim I have to "register my address with someone who seems to have no idea what they are talking about. I haven't been able to test the service, but when companies have such outdated customer support, they usually do not meet expectations.
If you ever sign up for acp program take my advice do not go with this carrier provider. *** is Terrible. The phone service is awful and the free phone they provide you is not what you actually put in for. Again the worst acp phone provider. I'm just saving the next person time and headaches

Terrible company. I requested an iPhone and got an inferior Android device. That part is fine but it only works on a limited network so all I can do is voice and text. Can't change APN settings. I've called customer service multiple times and usually get disconnected but when I get through, representatives seem to have no idea what I'm even saying. Ordered an iPad Air 2 as well which I am paying a significant amount for and it's still not shipped and they can't tell me when it will ship. Pretty ridiculous that the customer service is so bad with long holds and disconnects and unhelpful agents.

Terrible company, no stars. I ordered an iPhone but received a Samsung Android phone instead (which is fine, I guess, since they did mention they would send a different phone if the one I wanted wasn't available). However, when I opened the package, I discovered that the phone's screen was cracked. I turned it on, but the screen didn't work at all, rendering the phone completely unusable. I chatted with someone from the company, but because I didn't think ahead to make an unboxing video, they simply told me that I would have to pay to replace the phone since they wouldn't do anything to help me. I informed them that I wanted to cancel my account so I could find another provider. This company is a joke! Avoid using them at all costs.

I got the phone, paid $12 for the year to get a reliable phone. I got the phone and put the Sim in it. I called customer service to activate it. Everything was going well. I was happy with the phone for about 3 months. I kept getting emails asking me to transfer or be disconnected. It happened every week. I kept telling them that I didn't want to transfer. Finally, the annoying emails stopped. But then my phone stopped charging. Now I'm a single mom without a phone. This program is supposed to help single moms and homeless people on welfare to have communication for job applications, staying connected with their children and family, and stuff like that. Does the government know that they are scamming? Do they even care?

I would give this company Zero Stars! I'm a social worker, trying to get phones for my clients who are elderly and disabled. The first client I helped got an iPhone, but didn't wait for me to help set it up, so the iPhone got locked. When I called Airtalk, they told me they can't unlock the phone, and that I have to call Apple to unlock it. Apple told me they won't unlock the phone, and it's up to the carrier. After going through a million hoops, the phone still doesn't work, and they want him to pay $25 for them to send him a random phone. He's on a fixed income and just wants to send the phone back, but they won't take it back. The client still has no working phone and is elderly and disabled. The second client I ordered for received a *** Galaxy and an iPad for $10. I helped her set up the phone and activate it. She made one phone call and the service completely disconnected from her phone, and she couldn't make any calls. We called Airtalk, and they recommended taking the *** card out for 15 mins and then trying it. That didn't work. Then they said they would send an email and we needed to follow the link to fix the phone. That didn't work either! I called again, they gave me some run around, and when I asked to speak to the supervisor, they hung up on me. When I tried to call back, they hung up on me every single time. I tried calling back on a different phone, and when I put the phone number in that I'm having trouble with, they hung up on me! This phone company sucks! NO elderly or disabled person would be able to deal with this! Stay away!

They are a fraud! I signed up with them and they kept saying my phone was delivered. I told them I only received a SIM card and no device and was told to file a report with the post office. So now they're saying I have to buy an upgraded replacement phone, but then turned around and told me they didn't send a device and I can wait 90 days to get another one. I was given an iphone that is incompatible with almost all apps because it is too old. They won't return messages, chats, emails, and waiting in line for 45 in queue is a waste of time just to get a message saying they are busy and hangs up. They returned one email to say my account was suspended not giving me the chance to port my number to my new carrier. Unbelievable hassles this company has put me through for 3 whole days with no contact with a human. Save yourself and go elsewhere for service

AirTalk wireless made things very DIFFICULT for me to enroll in the LIFE program. 2. AirTalk wireless frauded its ad by offering phones they new they did not store yet advertised as though they did. Sent me to wrong phone other than the one I've ordered. 3. ATW, service and customer services are EXTREMELY flawed. I can't get the correct phone I've ordered; service line is not good; I miss Important calls; 3way calling doesn't work etc. ATW gets 1/5 stars

December 26. Time 3:20pm. I applied for AirTalk Wireless and was approved to use my life line services. Enrollment ID# [protected]. I just got off the phone with one of your representatives and his name is Larry and didn’t want to provide me with his last name. I received an email saying that someone tried to switch my service providers and was asked in the email if I was the one who authorized the switch and I said no and had to send an email to them indicating that I didn’t approve of that switch. I was approved with AirTalk wireless and when I filled out the application I chose to receive the life line service which is 300 minutes a month with unlimited text etc. Today I received the SIM card with out the phone. I contacted customer service and Larry a customer service representative told me that I chose the plan that says bring your own phone which it’s a lie. I never chose that plan. I then tried to tell him well that’s a mistake on your end because I never chose that plan unless somebody is using my information and is tampering my service. I asked him to switch it back so I can receive my service with the free phone you offer and he is basically telling me no even though I never chose that plan. I was approved for the lifeline service and now I can’t use or he doesn’t want to send me a phone over the mail which I’m supposed to be able to access my service with AirTalk wireless. I would like to use the service that I’m supposed to receive and he’s telling me I can’t. And I just want to file a complaint so I can start using my services with the free phone that comes with the service I chose and got approved for.

I had to transfer my lifeline from qlink due to a lawsuit they are involved in so I switched to air talk well I decided to use the esim service so I got everything transfered and they sent me my qr code to activate well I can't get it to activate but it shows active on my account so I ordered another and still same thing I can't reach anyone on their contact number and can't leave a message due to mailbox being full I have waited 3 hours on phone and nobody would answer. Now I'm stuck with no phone but they get the lifeline benefits .

That text was fake. I also followed it. It was a smart advertising campaign by assurance wireless. Airtalk (and its CEO) DID get convicted of fraud, but they're not going to shut down.
unwanted cell phone service
A few weeks back I investigated other cell phone providers for the lifeline service I receive. Air Talk Wireless was that provider. I currently am enrolled with SafeLink/Trac phone for my lifeline/cell phone service for more than 10 years, and I wish to continue service with them. Somehow AirTalk went ahead and enrolled me without my consent or choosing to do so. SafeLink/Trac phone cut my service off over the Labor Day weekend once they were notified, I was being enrolled with AirTalk as I am only allowed 1 phone service. Fortunately, I was able to get my phone service restarted with Safe Link after a long talk with customer service. I have been calling AirTalk Wireless many times leaving messages on their customer phone line since they won't answer and also sent several emails asking and telling them I do not want their service, and I am staying with safe Link. They will not respond, only sending texts that state there shipping something to me within 7-10 days, which I also asked to please stop. If I receive anything from them, I will return to sender immediately. Can you please stop this nightmare as my phone service with SafeLink could be cut off again with AirTalk's continued ignoring my requests and demands to discontinue my enrollment. Thank you

Device + customer service
Purchased a iPhone 11 and committed to 120 days of service. Phone was defective (speaker and mic not working well) but also had noticeable cosmetic damage. But I tried to contact them immediately but could not get in touch with anyone and then realized I’ll be outside their 15day warranty. So out of desperation chose the leave a message option for 2more days without being able to actually speak with an agent. I waited over 1hr sometimes 2hrs! I am not exaggerating just waiting to be connected via chat or phone!
When I did reach an agent after showing them screenshots and receipts of my efforts to reach them under warranty dates they gave me great stress but issues a return postage. After receiving device on 1/29/2024 they told me 14business days max and on 2/27 I still did not get one. I called the agent that day and offered refund. I accepted after confirming my refund was on the way. Today 3/1 I get email saying my device won’t turn on no refund. I asked for the device back. Since I paid for it i believe I am entitled to it.

I have contacted the company several times to inquire about when my products would be shipping, as my previous ACP/Lifeline provider was no longer providing service, as I transferred it to Airtalk Wireless on 2/2/24.
It is now 2/18/24, my card was charged for the products and I received an email confirmation of everything being approved. However, I have sent upwards of 10 emails to find out when they will be shipped and I have received zero response, except for a stock email every couple days saying there is a delay in shipment "due to the holiday and it will ship in 7-10 days" and that I would get shipping information when it shipped. 16 days later (far past 7-10) and nothing.

I have a same problem! My Daughter orders the phone 5/31/2-24, until I disputed with my bank got in-touched with them. they then FedEx the phone 6/24/2024. I called 5 times and left 3-4 massages no responded. finally, some one answered, after received the packet 2 days later, I call them to return the packet, they refused to accept to the return and refund. because I didn't call them with in 24 hours. ACP government backed phone service
I registered with airtalk wireless on their website to enter the APC government program and purchased a phone with them as they charged me $148.24 for and said they would refund me the money if my application was denied. Not only I was denied because that government offer was expired that same day and despite that they were still taking peoples money on their site. Now I am trying to get a refund and was on the phone after waiting 45mn on the line when this thick Indian accent guy introduced himself as Russell told me not to worry I was approved when in fact I am denied on their site and on their hotline with which I enter my credentials. He tried to convince me I still was so not to give me my money back and says if I want to ask for it back I should write an email to [protected]@airtalkwireless.com which I have written them twice but for no answers. I told him I was going to write to them and when asked him for his name again he said he was Robert! So when I pointed out that he told me earlier on the conversation he was Russle he answered that his name is Russle Robert lol. This place Airtalk is a scam and is scamming people with low income and the federal government!

Paid over $100 for iPhone XR. Expected device to be in apple authorized standard of refurbished device. Received iPhone with partially working touch/display. Was not repaired as needed or was damaged during repair for not using apples standards. Battery lasted 20 minutes on full charge and standby, charging port virtually inoperabe as well. Had other physical damage all around iPhone; screen went out while using touchscreen two weeks after receiving device sent device in for warranty repair device was returned to me with excessive physical damage that happened in transit. Now out over $100 and don't have a working phone

Sent back old headset with a note saying please send me something that will work for me, 5 months have gone by and no replacement phone
Signed up with AirTalk Wireless September 2023 got a non working used piece of crap phone was able to communicate with technical support, but they were not very helpful had to set the access point information that was not in the phone when I got it, it did not work for me whatsoever called back several more times got the same results no help when I ask to replace the headset with a working one I got hung up on every time I called back so I was under the impression I could put the Sim card in one of my unlocked older Samsung devices which then I had a working phone but no Internet every time I would call back it would ask for my phone number then reject my call. This has been going on for now six months. I continue to try to communicate with them to disconnect service, but they are tricky and slick. The automated system will force you in to coming back with them. If you press a certain key on your touchpad, I refuse to go forward with them. They are a total scam. recently sent me a letter stating I will have to pay for the device they sent to me for free on the ACP lifeline program. I have communicated with the consumers affairs, division, complaints, department, and the Better Business Bureau and my attorney as well i’m going to put this company out of business permanently. They have put the screws to so many people the biggest mistake they have made is playing games with me they have threatened me with their terms and conditions, and none of it is valid again I will state they are a scam people. Please listen to what I’m saying stay clear of this company. The lifeline and ACP administrators said they are one of the worst companies they have ever dealt with just look at the reviews and what people have to say a class action suit has been filed against Airtel wireless so I will say it again please do yourself a favor. Do not sign up with this company.

Government phone ever received
It's been over a month since I filled out the application for Airtalk wireless I got approved instantly they said my phone and service would be shipped in 10 to 14 business days then they instantly cancelled my original service here it is new month still no phone or service I've lost my food stamps no have a evection from my home over this now they are saying my sims card is being shipped and my phone will arrive Ina couple weeks they are screwing me over bad I need to know what I can do to get my losses back

I had paid money for service and called and asked why isn’t my service working and slll they told me I’d reset my phone and download my profile over and over I ain’t to happy about this and I got tired of calling help center and not getting the help or service so I’m canceling alll if my benefits cause your company obviously ain’t good neither are ur customer service helpers all the hardly speak any English and barley understand them

My device and service
December 27th I was approved for their service and I transferred carriers so my previous carrier shut off my service through them. I was told by airtalk Wireless that upon approval I would have my device within 7 to 10 business days. Nine days ago I received an email that stated a tracking number has been generated. My package still has yet to be handed over to the carrier I called and I was told that I have to keep in mind that this is a free phone. I don't care if it's free I don't care if I paid for it I qualify for the service and I want to use it! She showed me last Friday it would be shipped out of the warehouse that day well here we are sitting on Tuesday and UPS still doesn't have the package. Degnore support tickets until you threaten them with the FCC. They're talking about their holiday orders the holidays were over weeks ago. So other than them pretty much giving me backlash because my device was free that doesn't matter that was uncalled for. They're lying on their social media telling people that they'll have their stuff within 7 to 10 days knowing that they won't. And at the same time they're sending out people that's getting the free phones emails that state that they're shipment is on a temporary hold because they have to push out holiday orders first for the people who paid for them. If you've had my tracking number generated for 9 days I should have had my phone by now. Like I said my other company shut my service off when I transferred because they made me believe that within a week and a half I'd have my telephone upon approval. I have spoke to the lifeline and they have put this under investigation, and after they get so many complaints on them they're going to probably end up shutting them down. You see all over their social media where people are still waiting five six weeks for their devices. But I guarantee you in the meantime that they're still building the government that charge which that needs to be looked into too. Until you are actually using the service the government shouldn't be charged for it and I bet you that they are charging them. It's kind of hard to use your device once every 30 days if they haven't even shipped it out! The FCC doesn't do something about this I'm going to go over their head everybody's always got somebody to tie her up in them you just got to work to find them and that's what I will do for all of us that are experiencing problems with them I will be The advocate!

I'm in same boat- did you ever get your phone because I haven't! Can't get ahold of them they won't respond to my emails I have no idea what to do
I got a tracking number on the 8th and they finally shipped it out a few days ago. I had to end up telling them that I am done playing I will be contacting the FCC if they don't get my service and device to me soon! Also you can call their number and talk to a person because nine times out of 10 they're not going to answer their support tickets. I tell you how I did it to get a hold of a live person on the telephone. You know to ask you to push one for English and then when the second part comes up with her ask you if you're a new customer or if you're existing customer press 2 for existing and then just type any ole number on and it'll say we don't recognize that number and it'll say please hold on we'll transfer you to an agent and then after that it'll say to continue press one and make sure you press one. That's how I always had to get through to them and even if you try to message them through Messenger they'll send you the same exact generic message every single time. So when you talk to somebody here's what I told him I mean you have your choice to tell him whatever you want but I'll tell you what I personally told them. I told them I said I spoke to someone at the lifeline program and I know that and your contract that you only have so long to get our devices and service to us it's contracted between you and the government. I want to know where my device in my services because this is getting ridiculous and if I can't get a straight answer on this phone call I will be calling them back and filing a complaint. The day after I told them that is when my phone was shipped out. The lady even went as far as to remind me that after all it is a free phone and free service, and I told her I said you know what that's highly uncalled for and a very unprofessional thing for you to say to me! I went on her social media page and told everybody and about them saying that to me and then after I did that they blocked me to where I can't make comments on her social media pages anymore but I don't care that was uncalled for. I told her I said yeah you're right I do get a free phone and free service thanks for reminding me because I don't know why I would ever do without your insight regarding that but I qualify for the free phone and the free service and me qualifying for it gives you this job to answer this telephone I said so where's my phone or am I going to have to have the FCC figure out for me where it's at. I hate to be like that with a company but they are one of these companies that you have to be like that with or you're not going to get anywhere with them. There's been people still waiting for 6 weeks or more for their stuff that's not fair that's not right! But like I said it's always your choice about how you want to handle them but I was just letting you know how I had to handle them.
Transfer out
It's going on 2 weeks I been trying to transfer my phone number to a new service provider an airtalk wireless keep giving me an the new provider the wrong account number they keep saying they release my number when they really have they will say wait 24 to 48 hours when that time come we call back they keep saying the same thing some time they will just hang up on us it's like they mad I'm leaving they company just let me an my number go please dang
