Dear Better Business Bureau,

I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding my experience with AirTalk Wireless. I applied for their services on August 1, 2023, and was approved shortly after. However, my subsequent interactions with the company have been deeply disappointing and frustrating.

After being approved, I received a confirmation email with tracking numbers on August 8, 2023. Despite the tracking information indicating that my package, containing a phone and SIM card, was located just 45 minutes away from my Atlanta, GA address, it did not arrive until August 21, 2023.

Upon opening the package, I was shocked to find that it did not contain the phone or SIM card I was expecting. The package also appeared to have been tampered with and resealed using scotch tape.

My attempts to resolve this issue with AirTalk Wireless's customer service were met with unhelpful responses. When I requested to speak with a supervisor, I was informed about a requirement to remain with their service for 150-180 days or face certain fees. This response left me feeling unheard and frustrated.

Further research revealed that AirTalk Wireless has a 1.9-star rating out of 5 stars, with numerous complaints from customers. Issues include non-delivery of phones, broken devices being shipped, and deceptive data plans that quickly lead to additional purchases. The company's extensive advertising on platforms like Facebook seems to target vulnerable individuals.

I am urgently requesting to be removed from AirTalk Wireless's program so I can seek a more reputable alternative that genuinely supports the lifeline/ACP program. I also urge your office to investigate the company's practices, as their behavior appears to exploit disadvantaged individuals who rely on these essential services.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope that the Better Business Bureau can intervene to rectify these issues and prevent other individuals from falling victim to such deceptive practices.

Sincerely,

D.J. Forte

Desired outcome: I want to be taken off the lifeline/ acp program under them so i can apply for a company that is reputable and actually deliver my phone.
