As a host of several years, I achieved superhost status from very satisfied guests. Unfortunately, a recent guest caused damage to my property and violated several houserules, and after an almost 7 week stay, gave a negative review, based on false statements. Airbnb declined my request to remove it under their retaliatory review, and have failed to provide any help or explanation concerning their decisions, despite substantial evidence being presented to them. I have tried to escalate the complaint internally or to an independent ADR for them to explain their reasoning, but their support seem incapable of doing that. An absolutely awful company when things go wrong, with support that is totally unhelpful, and have no authority, while their senior management keep their heads in the sand. They don't seem to be interested in building loyalty.
Recommendation: Do not use, from someone who has been hosting for almost a decade.
A recent guest damaged my oven and violated several houserules, and at the end of her stay left a negative review. I requested airbnb to remove it as a retaliatory review against their policy, but they have not done so and have resisted providing any justification for their reasons. Their case handlers also refuse to escalate the complaint.
