It seems impossible to get your prescriptions from this company. I don't know why. It's the worst specialty pharmacy I have ever dealt with. The person on the phone makes it sound like everything is going to work out, but then nothing happens and you call again and find out there's a problem or they tell you it's going to go through in 24 hours and it never does.
This time my doctor's office had a 2 week supply of the medication that I needed, so they loaned it to me and I was going to give them my med when I got it in to pay them back. However it has been 2 weeks and I still don't have my medication. Of course there was an issue with prior authorization, and we got that fixed. Then I was told it would be 2 weeks before I got the medication. I told them I would need it sooner than that. Then when the pharmacist was reviewing the medication they decided that it was unsafe for me to take this medication (even though I was already taking it, and my dr. prescribed it for me), so again it was put on hold. My doctor's office called and explained the situation to the pharmacist so that they would approve the med for me. Then it's still a waiting game. There's another med that has been under pharmacist review for days too. Why does it take so long for a pharmacist to review it? What are they doing all day? Isn't this their job? Is Accredo understaffed? I don't understand why it's so hard to get a medication.
