I’ve been stuck with Accredo for 3 yrs now. Because I have Cigna PPO, I’m only permitted to fill my Humira Rx with Accredo as Cigna owns Accredo (which, in itself is unethical). Every 3-4 months I have to spend hours hand holding Accredo to get my Humira shipped.

They are a lazy and incompetent pharmacy.

The following is the latest email I sent to Accredo after spending over month dealing with my recent refill.

Accredo-

I have spent over 6-hours on the phone with Accredo reps in January alone.

Dec 30th, 2023 Accredo said they were shipping my Humira injections.

During a Jan 10th call, an Accredo rep explained I needed a prior authorization from my Cigna PPO ins and this was why Accredo canceled my Dec 30th order.

However, Accredo requested a prior auth on Jan 3rd and Cigna approved it on Jan 5th (Cigna also sent me a copy).

Apparently the rep could not locate the prior authorization.

During my second or third call in mid January, an Accredo rep revealed my prescription had been mistakenly altered in the last month by an Accredo employee.

It appeared that my Rx had been increased to a quantity of 4-orders (which far exceeds even Humira’s own limits). Additionally, that was not what my doctor ordered.

To be clear, my 28-day Humira 40ml injection Rx is for a quantity of 2-orders (there are two injectable pens per one order), so I receive 2-orders (4 Humira injectable pens) per 28 days (1 per a week)

On Jan 30th, after four very long weeks, too many hours on the phone with Accredo, and several missed Humira doses, my doctors office called Accredo. Dr Lee’s staff then texted me info to call a coupon company.

I immediately called Saveon [sic], that rep contacted Accredo and gave them the necessary info.

Also on Jan 30th Accredo was given my Humira’s ‘Complete Savings Card’ info, again. (Apparently Accredo had lost/deleted that info.).

Who knows at this point.

We are now 5 weeks into to this mess. Since my last painful conversation with Accredo on Jan 30, I have *not* received any communication from Accredo. The lovely Accredo phone app is not functioning either.

During that last call with Accredo on Jan 30, I was informed they had what they needed and my order would be expedited.

Though I had heard this three times in the past month, I had hoped Accredo would finally perform as a competent pharmacy and ship my much needed Humira injections. They failed to do so. Again. As per their usual.

Accredo has been the most disorganized, dishonest, and lackadaisical pharmacy I have ever used.

I would gratefully go elsewhere. But during a lengthy call last year with my insurance (after dealing with Accredo’s typical mistakes), I was informed Accredo is owned by and/or a part of Cigna. I am not permitted to fill my Humira Rx outside of Accredo. So I’m stuck with the most incompetent pharmacy in the US.

Please give me a legitimate and honest update. I need my Humira injections shipped ASAP. As was the case last week, and two, three, and four weeks ago.

I’m keenly aware that if I make yet another phone call to Accredo, I will just be given another false story.

The phone reps have limited knowledge and are misinformed through no fault of their own.

Please call me with an update re: my Rx for

Humira 40 ml injections, 2-orders (four injectable pens) per 28-days. I have two refills left on this original prescription from August 2023.

Accredo may have received an additional prescription last week that is to begin being filled after these last two refills are completed.

This refill began being processed on Dec 30th. Over 6-weeks ago. Please please call and let me know when my Humira will finally be shipped.

Claimed loss: My psoriatic arthritis pain has been increasingly painful because I am so over due for my Humira injection. Additionally, I waisted over 6-hrs on the phone w/ Accredo reps giving me conflicting and inaccurate updates

Desired outcome: I just need my Humira Rx injectable Pens finally shipped to me. I am 5-weeks over due because of Accredo’s disregard for patients and incompetent pharmacy staff
