I owned my Kia Sorento for over three years without a single issue, then out of nowhere, the engine seized. No warning, no signs, nothing. I had it towed to Kia Vacaville, and instead of taking responsibility, they tried to charge me $10,500 for a new engine plus $795.59 in taxes. That is outrageous.

Kia has been involved in multiple lawsuits over engine defects, and it’s unacceptable that they continue to dodge accountability. The current class action lawsuit only covers certain engine sizes, which is insane considering how widespread these failures are. My vehicle has already been through enough, break‑ins, damaged doors and windows, and even a busted ignition lock cylinder, and now Kia expects me to pay for an engine failure that is clearly part of a larger problem they’ve known about for years.

I refuse to pay for a defect that Kia caused and failed to address. Their negligence has cost customers thousands of dollars, endless stress, and unsafe driving conditions. I am actively seeking legal representation to pursue another class action lawsuit, because this is not right. Kia needs to be held fully accountable, and I hope every customer affected by their failures gets the support and justice they deserve.
