I agree with everyone else it not a credit card useable for grociery gas or bill paying u guys really suckn

I want to thank everyone for their comments. It's always helpful to hear from "real" people rathe companies who will tell you anything you want to hear for your money. However, I am so surprised that no on knew this was a exclusive card to their site. I got my offer in the mail yesterday went online and saw immediately at the bottom of the sites page that this card was only to be used on "horizonoutlwt.com" when I went to their site I noticed the junk silver chain, knock off purse, and fake Ed Hardy shirt right away and seeing the only way to enter was with a credit card number, I knew right away this wasn't even worth my phone call to them! Also, o the flier is said unsecured and many of you are saying you were to pay $79 to activate it that sounds secured to me!?! Also, looking at the flier there is no major credit card label which would make me think right away this is not something to even give my time to. I am not defending them by far and I am sorry that so many were or feel "scammed" but with how much information we have access to online and in today's world...if something seems tooooo good to be true, do the research before giving up your hard earned money and if seems legit go with it, if you find it's a scam, don't give them your money. Be proactive not reactive! If enough of us do the research, we can put these scam companies out of business! Be smart with who and where your giving your hard earned money to!

Why did you people fall for it to begin with? I have poor credit, like all of you, but even I can see it's a scam.

Firstly, on the signup page, there is an image of the card right next to the "Submit" button-- it very clearly has no Visa, MasterCard, JCB, Discover or AMEX logo. In fact, unlike many of these scam cards, it doesn't even have any logo there. Most at least come up with a fake interbank logo.

Further, just a few lines down from that, it very clearly states:

* The Horizon Gold Merchandise Card credit line can be used exclusively online at
thehorizonoutlet.com. Please read complete terms and conditions.

That is copied and pasted. They aren't lying about anything, and they're hardly being misleading. Your ideas for a class action lawsuit would fail; by signing up for the card in the first place, you are agreeing to their terms. Instead of blindly signing something or clicking the "I Agree" box, you should read the disclosures, or, at the very least, stop being blinded by your delusions of getting credit without a credit check, and having it not be a scam.

i was disappointed myself about this card think it is a ripoff really rotten to mislead people this way. just terrible.

i too like everyone else know without a doubt that this horizon outlet credit card company is truly a fraud and big fat liars they made a promise to refund my money back onto my visa debit card and they declined on their promise i filed for a dispute with my card company and they advised me to contact my local police dept and file a complaint against the horizon outlet company for fraud. I advise everyone to do the same WE need to ban together to bring these fraudulent companies down

So, I received a postcard in the mail from Net First Platinum today. I decided to go online and check it out! Always do the research first. Something my dad taught me. While I was waiting for it to upload I caught something on the card. It had no visa, discover, dinners club, or master card logo. Then, I caught the number on the card started with an 8. People...if the first number is not 4, 5, or 6 it is not a real credit card. It is a store credit card. So the web page pulled up. I went all the way to the bottom, and in fine print...after putting my glasses on, I saw it said that this card is "EXCLUSIVELY for horizionoutlet.com"! Scam! Thank god for a little knowledge on credit cards and my always wanting to read the fine print! People...I hope this little bit of knowledge will help you out. I am a 24 year old E.C. Wisconsin college student with a crappy paying job, and bad credit. This credit card scam could have really caused me some major problems.

I just got my card today and when i went to set it up i was very disappointed. I even called them on the phone befor i got the card and they told me i could make purchases anywhere . But when the card came it was a online card only. I needed a credit card for gas because i have a 300mil trip i make ever month to the doctors, i'm a single mom of a 9yr old and this really set us back cause i was counting on that card.Thats not just messing with my mind thats messing with my health. These people should be sued a class action suit!

I am so ashamed that I fell for this bullcrap!. I am a disabled person I have MS and can no longer walk. I get avery small disabilty check once a month and can not afford a scsm like this. I can not even get to there so called website. So I have bot even got to see there junk yet. But from what I have been reading not missing much!. Thanks for the info. I am going to try and cancel before I even look at there junk!

I was appalled when I got this junk card in the mail second chance credit building my ### theres nothing here i want and they didnt tell me it was not a credit card you could buy gas or medicine with or just anything to build my credit back and i most definately will be getting my money back and soon this is such ### and they should not be allowed to do it i spent my last 30.00 on this trash

It clearly says on the FIRST SIGN UP PAGE that this card is exclusive to that on line store. And look at the card picture folks, there is no MasterCard or VISA logo anywhere on it. I think all your credit is so bad, you just got excited someone would offer you a card and didn't notice any of this. Typical.

I totally agree, I was misled into thinking this was a credit card not a merchandise card. I don't have 24 dollars to waste on this scam. I looked over the entire shopping site and it is nothing I would order or buy at all.

I received my card the day after Christmas and I noticed on the card that it stated go to www.thehorizonoutlet.com to use your credit line so I called the customer service number and that is when the young lady told me that the card can only be used for online purchases. I said OK. I went online today and that crap is not worth purchasing because I can get it out of the store for less. Also the web site sends you to some compare stores but you cannot purchase from those stores using your horizon card. I Have Been Punked!

I wish I would have seen this blog site before I got nailed with the charges and fees also! I spent three hours online to look for Christmas presents and found nothing I would purchase even in desperate times! When I saw "online superstore" I thought maybe it wouldn't be too bad. Boy was I wrong! And the layout of the shopping pages really suck! takes you forever to look through the site! What a waste of time! I am calling in the morning to cancel too!

You know I thought I was really doing good when I recieved this post card in the mail telling me that I was guaranteed a credit card with Horizon card services. So, I thought, what the heck, then I got to thinking about it and thought the monthly payment was a little too much. So, I called them with full intentions of cancelling my membership, I was put thru to 2 different people, just to CANCEL! By the time I got off the telephone my mind had been changed and didn't even realize how slick the gentleman was in doing it. So, today (11/18/08) I received my card and went to the website to activate, boy was I very disappointed. If I wanted to pay the high prices for the stuff that is on your website, I would rather go to the Goodwill and buy second hand for far much less! I want my money credited back to my debit card and there had better not be anymore deducted on a monthly basis either! I am going to call the Better Business Bureau and The Attorney General and tell them what kind of scam you are running. With the way the economy is today, you would think I would have had better sense than this!

I was totally schocked when I went ton line to look at their merchandise. I will be closong this account and ask for my refund to be put back on my account. They have no merchandise that nobody will buy. It it not as good as you get at the salvation army store. There should be something done to this company. I was told this was a major credit card and it would help me to rebuild my credit rating. I am on a fixed income and a senior citizens thinking this would help me to shop for the little things I need.
