I would like to formally request a reassessment of my recent purchase at Woolworths Doncaster this morning.
I purchased $5,000 worth of Apple gift cards during the 20x Rewards points promotion at the checkout counter. During the transaction, the staff member did not ask for or prompt me to scan my Rewards card and proceeded directly to payment.
As this was a staffed checkout, I reasonably relied on the staff to follow the correct process. The failure to capture my Rewards details was due to staff oversight, not customer error.
I previously accepted a 50% points adjustment over the phone; however, this does not reflect the actual loss (approximately $500 in Rewards value), and I am now formally requesting a full reassessment.
Given that the missed promotional benefit was caused by a breakdown in the checkout process, I believe I should receive the full promotional points.
Please escalate this matter for further review.
