He has zero customer service. I was friendly the whole time and he is short and rude. He definitely needs a class of how to be friendly if he is a face for your company. This is two days in a row now. I certainly feel like he hates his job and does not want to be there. The two kids working smiled and were friendly. Michael, I felt like I was inconvenieing him and just ruined his day by pulling up. He demanded my ID instead of asking. Everytime I he opened his mouth he was short and rude.
trash being picked up
On Wednesday, January 16 my residential trash should have been picked up. The road was clear and when calling customer service, the lady told me it was because of bad weather. My husband took a picture and the road was completely clear. Please tell me how many times my trash is going to be delayed. The reason seems like a lie to me. More customers need to complain to make this stop from happening on a routine basis
overcharging at end of contract
We have had Waste Management for a long time and we followed their guidelines. At end of contract on the last 12 month lease they upped their charges for the last month or one month early - this was wrong but we did not complain and paid the bill. At end of contract they picked up the container but did not charge us our $175 container removal fee but did send us a bill for another months usage payment at the higher rate. This month we received a bill for $399.99 which included the removal fee and for the added months rent. I made a phone call and they promised to remove that extra months charge for me but told me that we owed $280.78 for the removal fee. When I provided notice the charge was $175 and now they upped it to $256.48 + added all the taxes that they charged us monthly besides the 2 yd fee.
Last year I had to prove that the over stuffed 4 yd container was not our but a neighbor up the road and they still charged us after that and we continued to make calls to have that removed. The last month on the lease they even increased the lock fee to add insult to injury which did no good as people were forcing the new plastic lids up to raid the containers. Very disappointed

blocking car with dumpsters.
Waste management drivers are purposely leaving the dumpsters in front of my car blocking it in. Spoke to route supervisor to resolve issue, but didn't help at all. Drivers kept on doing it. I have take pictures and video of when the drivers leave the dumpster in front of my car. This issue needs to be take up to a corporate level. Drivers need to be retrain or remove from job. Today coming home to find two dumpsters in front of my car is a problem because I have to do the drivers job now.

residential trash services
I received one bill and then stopped receiving them. I called to make a payment and the agent told me I was paying before the due date and I was fine. I waited a little while and then called and requested a bill. I received the bill and then made a payment. When I spoke with the agent she did not state that the bill was due or past due. A then my cans where picked up a week after my bill was paid. I called and a supervisor told me I had to pay a drop off fee or something like that to bring my cans back out. My cans should not have been taken a week after the bill was paid and then to tell me I have to pay a fee to have them returned is totally unacceptable for me.

I had my 13-year-old boy rake the leaves and then put it to the curb. The following day the green can was not picked up. I called and asked why and the manager Oliver stated, "the note from the driver said it was too heavy." Impossible its only leaves, that's it nothing more! I asked Oliver if they had a weight scale on the truck he said they did, that was a lie. Things got heated over the phone, and he was rude and condescending. Told me: "have a happy new year" in a very sarcastic tone and manner. This isn't the end of it. I took pictures and a video of the can which the leaves were at least 10 inches below the top and the lid completely shut. I then tipped the can over and pulled out the leaves videotaping it and taking pictures of it. This isn't over.

Garbage wasn't picked up on normal day, had to call next day. They said someone would come out and pick it up by end of day, did not happen. Called 2nd time and explained again what happened, said someone would be out by end of day, did not show. Called 3rd time and same scenario. 4th day called again which is now 2 days away from normal pickup and the agent had no clue what day it was or what was going on and tried to argue with me why having a monopoly is a good thing. I asked to please give me another co. that could pick up my garbage, he couldn't, so I said thanks for nothing. Waste Management has terrible customer service and the thing is you can when you have no one to compete against. And the really stupid thing is I live a block away from their dump location.

We signed up for WM online billing, and paid 3 months service at that time. On Monday 11/6/18 they another 3 month service charge (double Billed) without our authorization. We contacted them (they don't answer emails, have 2 w/screenshot as evidence) and spoke with "Darlene" who acknowledged their error, said they'd mail a check "soon". We refused that offer as we have bills to pay, they took it out illegally, they can put it back the same way. After approximately 15 minutes of this, she connected us with " Heidi S" a manager who refused to give us a last name. She also acknowledged the mistake, stated she would, "put a rush on it" and we have our funds back in the bank by 11/9/18. We asked for a confirmation number, she refused, stating, "we don't do that." We waited and no refund, and on 11/9/18 nothing. We called at 3:15pm and spoke with "Denise" and she again acknowledging their illegal withdrawal, but had no idea about a "rush refund". She connected with "Oliver" a manager who told us "there are no rush refunds." We explained our previous conversations, and he stated, " 48 business hours, that's what we do." The number we called is: [protected], Listed as "Waste Management of Golden Valley, AZ" I wish to state that Waste Management has lied to us every time we spoke with them, and they don't care about our refund or service. What they have done is criminal, taking unauthorized funds with out permission, for services they have not provided, and failing to make any legitimate attempt to resolve this issue, refund our money, return our emails or calls.
Update, Wednesday, 11/14/18 WM electronically refunded my money, bank advises 24 hrs, and to delete any autopay. This company has lied to us 100%, didn't get any action until litigation was started. Do not do business with this company, they are the absolute worst. Have to wait and see if transfer is legit. What an ordeal!
So today is Wednesday, 11/14/18 still no refund, still no return calls or responses to our emails. With a 1 star rating (over 100 complaints) it looks like litigation. This company thinks it can rob, steal, provide crappy service and get away with it, and it has. Avoid Waste Management at all costs.
Never returned any calls or emails, Bank reversed the charges. Done.
hiring of minorities
I have a class A CDL. I am constantly getting messages about openings for a position. I have had four interviews. I have the qualifications for the position. I hear that at the Bridgeport WEst Virginia location that a few of the managers are family. I have yet to see any race besides white up at this location. This position hasn't been filled in over 6months. My last interview was literally 5 minutes Mike McDonald acted like he didn't want to be there. I could tell from his demeanor that the interview was pointless. No professionalism at all. There are all sorts or races that's been in this area for years now and more continuing to move here. We deserve an opportunity.
building is looking bad!
I watched an episode of "Undercover Boss" about Waste Management and I was really impressed with what they did on the show, but where I live (Hobbs, NM) they don't seem to care about the people or the business. Our WM building is starting to look pretty bad. I know that this probably doesn't mean much to you, but it is on one of the main highways in our town and it could use a good cleaning and fresh paint.
I would appreciate someone checking into this matter. Our town needs to be kept up just as bad as any other.
bulk pick up
I called the first of the week to see about getting a bulk pick up on queen mattress and box springs. They stated to put them out on our day and would be no problem to take them. I come home and the trash is gone but the mattress and box springs were still there. I am an older women whom put these all down at the curb. I live on an acre so wasn't a short trip... I called in and they were like yes we have a note the items were to heavy. Ok I say one is heavier then the others but to not take any.. I myself can left all of these. So she was like well we can do one item at a time just not he heavier one but that will not be until your next pick up.. I am like that is a week away I cannot leave them there and I have to take them back up to the house? I am very unhappy with them I am sorry weight should of been addressed. But the box springs I can lift with one hand.

I stated that all the invoices I had received was from old Fitzgerald account. Was told probably a problem with the mail. Was told I had to pay past due amount before service could be restarted. Even with payment arrangements, no service until past due resolved. Received apology for not receiving information. I currently do not have service. I don't believe I should be punished because of miss communication of information. It too 5 phone calls and 3 hours on the phone to get to the point where my problem was identified.

dumping facility
It is 6:54 on a Friday afternoon in Florence, SC at the Pamplico Highway site. We pull up to dump trash and the drive in gate is locked with the attendant standing at the other end of the gate blocking it to keep any one else from getting in so the last person dumping can come out and he can lock up. How is this closing at 7:00 when there are 5 minutes left on the clock? In that amount of time we could have dumped our trash and the attendant still would have left at 7:00 pm.

Every week in California, The garbage men never comes by our neighborhood to pick up our trash and our recyclables. They just ditched us for no reason. They will add insult to injury by giving us these bills that we don't know and services that we don't use. They should change their names from Waste Management into Waste of our Management. Do not use Waste Management.

dumpster at business next door to me - j&m building supply elkton tn
Hi there, I am located at 147 Mulberry Street, Elkton, TN, 38455. Immediately next door to me is an electrical hardware business with one of your dumpsters, nearly sitting on my property. The company has so much extra waste, that does not go into the dumpster (tree limbs, pallets, etc.) that the dumpster is inches from sitting in the street. It is clear the driver has no other choice of where to place it with the waste in the way. The dumpster entirely blocks my view to pull out of my driveway, and is technically sitting on county property (I have the plats for the properties). The property line is about 8ft behind the light-post shown in the images, placing the dumpster several feet away from where it should be. This is quite dangerous for us, and could easily be solved by the company clearing the area, allowing the driver to lay the dumpster in a safer location, as well as onto the business property. I have approached them about this issue to no avail. Unfortunately this is not the only issue. There is no trash pick-up in our town, it is a small area. Therefore, the business allows the entire area to throw their waste into the dumpster as well. This would generally not be an issue, except for the dumpster becomes overflowed very quickly, putting trash into the street as well as my lawn every single week. From my previous business experience, this should not be allowed although I am not trying to irritate the entire neighborhood. There is an option for us all to have trash pick-up although it has simply not been requested. This dumpster is not the area's only option. The driver runs at apprx. 3:45am Tuesday mornings and is nearly empty as of right now. If images are needed of the dumpster overflowing, just give me a few days. I have had an altercation with the business owner's stepfather, who is remodeling his home, and he dumps all of his building material waste into the dumpster as well. It overflows the container immediately. I approached him about the issue with a response far too negative to list here. He basically stated to my my own d***n business and "Do you know who I am?". The situation escalated from there. I care not who he is, he is a waste of my time to deal with any further. Now the people of the business are quite rude to me and my family, and there has been trash thrown directly into my lawn on a near daily basis. I recently paid cash for this home, and I am not going anywhere. I would like for this not to be a long-term issue. I will handle the trash in my yard on my own, I will be setting up HD cameras very soon, pointed in the proper directions. I am asking, please, could you contact the business and have them clear the area properly so the driver may return the dumpster to it's proper location, on their own property, keeping trash out of my yard, and un-blocking my clear view of the street. I greatly appreciate your help, and hope that this does not ruin anyone's day. Thank You, Hayden Sims

dumpster delivery/poor customer service
We scheduled a dumpster to be delivered on 9/21/18 for a time sensitive construction project. We called 5 days in advance to schedule delivery and we called mid week to confirm the deliver date. When the dumpster did not arrive on the scheduled day we called and were told " we are busy and don't know if we can get to you today". We had to move forward with our protect without the dumpster which put us behind schedule and had a significant financial impact. We received no further communication from
WM. On Monday 9/24 the dumpster was dropped off in our driveway without any prior notice. We called Tuesday to request it to be picked up and it wasn't picked up until Thursday late morning, keep in mind that we have a large dumpster that was delivered 4 days Late in our driveway. WM once again delayed progress as we could not have the necessary materials delivered due to the dumpster(that should have been delivered 9/21 and gone by 9/24) being in the way. We have now received a invoice for $567 which is more than what we were quoted for delivery and it is unacceptable to charge such an amount when the service was not provided as scheduled. WM lacks professionalism, they have inadequate business processes and they obviously do not care about their customers.
contract and final bill
So it took awhile - finally got out of the contract - you need to put it in writing 90 days before the renewal (first - don't you wonder why you need a contract? our new company has no contract) then for the next 90 days they pestered me - the monthly price that we were paying was $260 with all "fees"... during that 90 days - they came from the going price all the way down to $80 a month with fees... but yet for the last 3 years we were paying increasing cost NOW suddenly you only need 1/3 of what we were paying? I stood strong - GOT out of the last month... THEN on page TWO we
had to pay $150 to have the thing removed from our property - then $65 more in fuel surcharge... cost recovery fees... and admin charge $214.13 Wow... Please customers be aware of what you sign - our contract was for $125... but from those 3 years increase to $260... love to have a job with that nice monthly raise. Why do you need a contract for trash - its trash... Please feel free to call

garbage cans
I don't understand what's SO hard to put the garbage cans and the recycle bins back where they belong. They do not belong in the middle of my driveway so I can't pull in! Multiple times I have had to stop in the middle of the street, get out of my vehicle, and pick the cans up and move them back to where they belong. I really don't appreciate my cans being knocked over and just left there, without being picked up and put back where they belong. This has been going on way too long and I pay for my garbage pickup every month! This is ridiculous!

call for class action to sue waste management for increased the fee unreasonable and in the middle of our project
Hi, My company used Waste Management to dump the trash of our construction service. They sent us a quotation at the beginning of the project and we agreed and moved forward with it. In the middle of the project, Waste Management decided to increase the rate without our acceptance. After the date that they informed us about their increasing rate, we did not order any new bins from them. Instead the bins that has been put in order before were continuing coming. Since we rented machines and our workers were working, we have to continue but could not stop in the middle like that. Waste Management stopped providing the service a few dates later and demanded us to pay a hug amount of fee. They have violated 2 things:
1 - did not honor their price and decide to increase the price in the middle of our process, making us unable to do any thing (do not have time to find a new service company to replace for their service).
2 - In their invoice, they stated that we have to pay for them in 30 days, so we still had not in a late payment at all, BUT they stopped the service without reason. Since we still had to continue to pay for our rented equipment and machine and our workers regardless of they were working or just sitting at the job site, we were bearing a big lost for our site.
3 - they increased their fee without our consent, and now demand us to pay a big bill. We called them to resolve the problem, they denied to negotiate about it but keep demanding the payment unreasonably.

servicing dumpsters at 3:00, 5:00, 12:00, 7:00, etc
WM - would you please stop servicing dumpsters between the hours 10:00 and 7:30 near residential homes. There is a group of townhomes next to to pick up locations (3110 Waugh dr, Houston, TX 77019). It wakes up my family and the neighbors in the area. We are a community with families. An example would I want to share is my 8 month old that can't sleep though the banging of the process to empty a dumpster at 3:00, 5:00, etc. It disturbs my entire family.
I have already called about this and have spoke with Bona about the route. Complaint #9283791 was supposed to stop these kinds of rude awakenings in the middle of the night.
I work 12 hr days and just want a good night sleep.

Waste management has been given specific instructions, multiple times, to not pick up garbage early in the morning at my residential building. I've been told there is even a do not disturb before 10am policy. Despite several complaints, and even a city ordinance, the garbage man comes so early in the morning (around 7am) that it wakes me up regularly and has been incredibly stressful. The garbage man is clearly aware of the complaints, and has since increased the time he takes slamming the dumpster around and ruining my sleep as well as my neighbors. It's incredibly disrespectful and an example of terrible customer service and I have had nothing but a negative experience being "serviced" by waste management. Emails have been sent, calls have been made, the truck driver (whom I have no respect for because I have seen him slam the dumpster 5+ times for no reason causing a ridiculous amount of noise) has specifically been told that he's disturbing potentially hundreds of people's sleep and yet he continues to do this. It just happened at 7am on a Saturday when we aren't supposed to be serviced. How hard it is to come after 10am? Are trash men too incompetent to realize that their job is not complicated and can easily be adjusted to accommodate the needs of customers? I hope not.
