The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

I traded in my 07 Rabbit for an automatic diesel Jetta TDI, and it broke down within 2 days due to a faulty transmission. After replacing a couple of sensors, the issue persisted, so I'm now waiting for some part that's on national back order. They think my lemon will be ready for me by the middle of next week...that's 2.5 weeks in the shop after I drove it a mere 150 miles. I'm really not pleased with the way that Kuhn Volkswagon is handling this situation, because they could easily get $24K from someone else for a refurbished car. It isn't worth the $26K I'm paying for it.

I do not recommend this dealership, or the 09 TDI.

After a second transmission glitch, followed by two additional problems, my 09 TDI was replaced under Lemon Law standards.
Thanks to VW National for stepping up to rectify this situation...too bad I had to take the issue to BBB for action.

Resolved

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

My 2009 Jetta TDI is 4, 000 miles outside of warranty, and I'm having problems with the exhaust flapper. The TDI's emissions system is extremely complex. This is more than $700 to fix. VW said they'd pick up 50%, but I'm not quite done yet. If you buy a Jetta TDI, I'd look for some extra protection that includes the entire emissions/exhaust system through at least 80, 000 miles.

I also have a 2009 Jetta TDI with a faulty exhaust flap. The dealer wants over $900 to replace it. I have about 40, 000 miles, so out of warranty. I have heard this is not an uncommon problem. Seems to me that it should be covered.
