a disputed vodacom invoice has been handed over to vvm for collection
These people call me continuously demanding payment for a vodacom invoice yet they cannot supply a copy of the disputed invoice despite numerous requests. Instead they sent me their invoice, on their letterhead that does not include any details but a single figure I "owe" vodacom.
Vodacom will not assist as the account has been handed over to these people. I am happy to settle any amount I might owe vodacom but I will not pay an amount without seeing a detailed invoice.

I am getting up to 6 calls a day and threatening sms's from vvm attorneys for a account of a few years ago for my late husband. They did nothing while he was alive now that he has passed away I have to deal with this level of harassment. Because his cellphone no longer works they got a tracing company and now harass me. How is this fair? I am dealing with the death of my husband and they just dont leave me alone. I can't call them as the phone just goes dead.

I am now getting very annoyed with sabc and vvm, I left sa in 2009 and provided all requested docs at the time of trying to cancel my tv licence. Then the sabc shifts the goal posts and wanting an affidavit and a copy of my visa and passport! No chance! I told you i'm 2009 that the tv was struck by lightning and it fizzled out and died! I took it to the dump near to steuben valley and threw it in a skip! Nearly 9 years later you are still trying your luck! Now my bill to the sabc for this ongoing harassment is sitting at au$15000 odd, I believe it is time for you to pay up! You will find a picture of my statement to you attached. It would seem that vvm have my email address. You can contact me for my banking details to pay the money owed. You are lucky I am living in australia now and not the uk, your account would have been payable in pounds stirling if I was still there.

letter of demand for debt they claims from 2007
Received a letter of demand for tv licence that was apparently not paid ten years ago. We immigrated to australia in 2007 and notified sabc of the move when we closed the account, the immigrating agents also notified everyone they were suppose to that we have immigrated to australia. They are now demanding payment if r3436.12 or threatening that we will be itc listed internationally. According to sa law if I am not mistaken debt can not be collected if older than three years without prior notification to the debtor. Sabc sent out the first letter of demand and were informed that we immigrated officially in 2007 now suddenly we have been handed and requested that we send details of passports visas citizenship etc. Not happy to send these items as we have not assurance that these details are protected under privacy laws.
threatening sms messages regarding tv licence
I have on several occasions received threatening sms' regarding a TV licence that is overdue and addressed to Mr B Macleod. I have tried to call the number given and supplied my ID number for the call centre only to be told the number is incorrect. I then tried to call their offices 3 times today to advise them that their records are incorrect and I get another answering service. They are pathetic in that one cannot speak to a REAL person and discuss/correct their information. It is possible the gentleman they are trying to contact is my ex-husband but he assures me he has not had a TV set for the last 6-7 years and I believe him.
All I want is for VVM to correct their records and stop hassling me.

Your consultants phoning people regarding debt collecting is utterly rude, arrogant and full of themselves. I had a call last night for my husbands fedhealth account I explained to the consultant that this account has been settled a year ago and I received confirmation from fedhealth that this is indeed correct. I have ask for them to send me an email address t o allow me to send through these conversations with fedhealth until today after numerous call I have received nothing. After my call last night round about 7, 8 I again request an email address for me to be able to send the proof still nothing. 5 mins after my call with your consultants my husband received a call. This lady was rude arrogant and really full of herself. My husband explained to her the same thing I have explained to her, he also ask her to provide us with an email address to allow us to provide all the proof he said to her for nearly a year now we have to explain this every month to them and he is now getting sick and tired of doing so. The lady turned around and say to him she is now also sick and tired to beg him to pay his account she went on and on and on. He did not have a chance to answer back anything - he eventually had to put down the phone in her ear. This is unacceptable. We do not deserve this type of treatment and our account is paid. Fedhealth even agreed via an email
Please can we now resolve and close this matter and can you please ensure that your consultants treat people with respect

I see the complaints here on facebook! You have apparently taken over my vodacom account - and now charging me for 26 months! For something I haven't ever used! I see how you operate.
I have had a problem with vodacom over the past two years and 5 months. I unwittingly entered into a contract [the usual 24-month stipulation] for a vodafone router. It never worked. I visited the kiosk a couple of times at windermere centre, and was eventually informed that I needed to take it to a technician at musgrave centre. I had no means of getting there, even if I was prepared to do that [my car was stolen]. Next thing, I am handed over to vvm. As per post I placed on their facebook page. No response whatsoever. The router is only worth less than r400. I would be paying around r2, 000 for it at this rate... How can I resolve this? I am at my wits end.

I have reported it to foshini's and other shops, and now it is ackermans! Can you please take my number off all your systems for sibongiles nkubane 's accounts!

We paid up fedhealth on the 09/04/2015 received a letter from fedhealth say all amounts has been received, mailed this letter to VVM and phoned them and was told they did receive the letter lady name is Kate she then told me this file will be closed. its been 7 months and still file is not closed, even if I call them every month notifying them of it, I was told rudely this morning I need to phone Fedhealth and tell them to send a letter to VVM notifying them that all money has been collected. Im not VVM's client but I need to do there work for them. If this is not sorted by 15/11/2015 I will take them to the ombudsman.

illegal practice
VM has placed an illegal trace locator's on my Son credit profile and removed with immediate effect, as there is not proof of his default. All current details on my Sons credit profile are accurate and thus there is no legal reason for this trace to have been placed.
I have contacted VVM several times regarding the matter they are supposed to be investigating, however, they have failed to respond to my numerous emails and have chosen instead, to inundate me with threatening SMSs on an almost daily basis. I have made it abundantly clear that I will not deal with this matter over the phone as this has proven to lead to me being given false information and incurs costs that I cannot maintain. I have the right to request all correspondence to be limited to email only as this provides me with written proof of everything that is discussed. This decision is due to the appalling treatment I have received from VVM. This company does not have the right to ignore my emails and then threaten me constantly and follow through with illegal procedures. They are not above the laws of the country.

My Edgar's account had been handed over to a collections dept for payment I had received an sms from the collections dept if I pay my outstanding balance in full I will be rewarded a 30% discount however the bank had actually paid the account in full on my behalf settling the account for me and they paid the amount without the knowledge of the discount I have then been calling VVM and Edgar's regarding my refund which amounts to R2800 and to date have not yet been paid out except that I have had terrible pathetic rude service from agents, consultants who doesn't know anything about assisting clients I am perturbed at the service rendered by these companies when we pay our accounts late our name become blacklisted we have collections agents calling us but when we need our monies back we are unable to obtain our money.

Both myself and my wife keep getting calls and sms’s from vvm regarding a tv license for ilanga solar power africa pty ltd.
I was retrenched from ilanga solar power africa pty ltd last year and have nothing to do with the company at all.
They do not stop making contact with both me and my wife regarding this issue and keep harassing us.
This needs to stop right now!

I received a red notice letter to pay an acoount I never had. I told the lady that called me on the fone that I never had such an account. But still they send me a post asking for payment.

I keep getting threatening emails from vvm debt collectors. They are actually a firm of lawyers in south africa - and a shady bunch at that too. They keep sending out threats to take legal action. Debts in south africa become prescribed after 5 years. These are lawyers. They know the law. Yet, they continue to try and recover debts over 10 years old. Surely this is unprofessional and unethical conduct. The public in south africa are unaware of the doctrine of prescription. I have asked them on numerous occasions to give me details of the alleged amount, they fail to and or neglect to give it.
They can go to hell as far as I am concerned.
VVM Debt Collectors ... What type of Business are they running?
My issue with VVM has been going on since 19 Sept. Here is my story.
1. On the 1 Dec 2017 I applied for a new contract but little did I know that would be the last time I would speak to anyone in Sales.
2. Since my initial call to the Sales department I have been unable to get hold of anyone (4 x calls later where after 45min I eventually dropped the call), I have sent numerous online queries which I have never had any responses to.
3. On the 8 Dec 2017 you guys debited my account for the contract which I haven't received any goods for. An hour after I reversed the payment with my bank a consultant called me to notify me that my new contract was approved.
4. I told her that I am no longer interested in the contract and wish to cancel the order (which I have done online as well) and dropped the phone. On the 15 Dec 2017 my receptionist informed me that a driver just dropped off my parcel with my receptionist which happens to be from you guys. The driver just left without even requesting a copy of my ID.
5. On the 15 Dec 2017 and on the 6 Jan 2018 I posted two HelloPeter complaints. Still no response from Telkom with regards to my cancellation.
6. On the 19/02/18 @ 11:40am Tracking Nr: [protected] the sealed parcel that contained the sealed phone and sealed simcad was collected by the CourierIT
7. I have received numerous case ref nrs from Telkom: [protected] on the 15 Mar, [protected] 30 Jul which has never been resolved nor attended to.
8. Since the 8 Dec 2017 I have never had any calls from Telkom with regards to the numerous cancellation requests I have submitted.
9. Yesterday I get a call from VVM Debt Collectors ref nr: [protected] for the outstanding amount on a contract I have been trying to cancel since Dec 2017.
Every since the 19 Sept I have received calls from VVM every hour of every day and no matter who I speak to and no matter how many emails I send to queries@vvm.co.za NO-ONE cares. I have requested numerous times for a Senior Person to call me with regards to this matter but every time I get told "Sorry they are in a meeting". And the attitude of the consultants that phone me is not the attitude of a professional person. They are not interested in hearing your story ALL they want is to be heard and to tell YOU how much money YOU owe.
So finally on the 22 Nov I received an email from them stating that they are no longer dealing with my account that was handed over by Telkom as the account has subsequently been withdrawn from them and all future correspondance should be addressed directly to Telkom BUT GUESS WHAT ... not even a week later I am being harassed by their call centre agents again. WHAT is going on there? This communication I received from VVM is NOT even on their system which is ridiculous.
So today again I AM ASKING A SENIOR PERSON/ SUPERVISOR TO CALL ME URGENTLY as this matter with VVM is becoming ridiculous.

Our telephonic conversation of earlier refers:
1. I object to the defamatory comment made by both you & the SABC that I have not paid my TV License for 2016 – proof of payment is attached.
2. As mentioned, you & the SABC can take me to court for my supposed non-payment of 2016 TV License.
3. I do not have a signed contract and agreement with the SABC & my ID number is not a valid contract.
4. Why, if I did not pay my TV license for 2016 – do I now when in September 2017 with the renewal of TV Licence is there a notification that I have not paid 2016 TV Licence.
5. I will not pay any other fees, other than as I have admitted the TV Licence Fee for 2017 in the amount of R265.00, because of this error by the SABC I have as yet not paid the TV Licence.
6. I am not responsible for incompetent SABC personnel who cannot balance, allocate payment received against correct accounts, I query how they balance their books.
7. I have never not paid my TV Licence and do not expect of me to pay for incompetence and double payment for fees that have already been paid.
8. Do not threaten me as you phoned me, so if you want my input then listen to what I have to say instead of keep interrupting my conversation and talk to me and use terminology that I am wrong and insist that I did not make payment.
9. Where is my notification from the SABC of fees due – I would like to see proof of this being sent to me.
10. I trust that this conversation was recorded – as mentioned you were making notes. Please send me a copy of the recorded conversation.
I receive numerous calls a day stating i need to pay an account which i dont owe on. The account was paid in 2013. I am tired of the treathing calls and sms stating i am been handed over to the credit bureau. Do these people actually know what they ae doing. No communication between them. You are never able to get through to them or they put the phone. Poor service from AN ATTORNEY OFFICE... there is no customer service or training given to the staff never mind the team leaders.
I have received numerous sms's from VVM regarding an outstanding debt with Vodacom. This debt was reported after I did not renew my contract with Vodacom in March 2015. On the last day of the contract I paid all of the amount reported to me as payable. The debt was later reported to me after I voluntarily sequestrated on 21 Jan 2016. I have now sent VVM the Court Order no less than 4 times, but yet they continue to call or sms again. I am really upset about this as it seems that they are good at phoning but not good at receiving mail and following through with the action. It seems that all they care about is pummeling people into paying the debt they believe is owed - irrespective if the debt is truly owing or not.
I am constantly being harassed by them as well. Seeing this, I now regret furnishing them with more of my information. Logged a formal complaint with the Ombudsman's Office. Truly hope they bring them to justice.

They really are rude, intimidating people. They have been calling me non stop for my husband's African Bank accounts. I keep telling them and he himself have told them that he is on debt review. Unfortunately, they keep calling and harassing us.
I do not take to intimidation very well and don't threaten me either. The pitbull in me comes out and you better hope that I don't get them.
We were willing to work with them and cooperate. We asked for their details so we can send the forms of the debt review to them. But alas, we received African Bank's details. Basically have told them to sod off and leave us alone and deal with their client directly.

I received an e-mail from VVM Debt Collectors that I must contact them regarding a Homechoice account. Upon calling them and giving a lady by the name of Nomvala the reference number in the e-mail, she says she does not have an account appearing under that reference. I asked her for her boss's e-mail address, she said that she does not have a boss and there is no boss's e-mail address, upon which I said I will get it from the internet. I do not trust these debt collectors, as the lady was also very rude.

I received plenty of calls from vvm inc with regard to the alleged outstanding electricity account in respect of a property I own but tenanted. My tenant has already settled the account and I have faxed proof of payment to vvm. They keep phoning me, harassing me for several times sometimes late at night and even when I am in the meetings. I keep telling them that the account has been settled but does not stop phoming me and sending me sms. The last sms I received was that my name has been registered with the credit bureau for an account I do not owe.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
We have a letter from another group of attorneys stating that this matter is closed. VVM is not interested. It is a mistake from SABC, we have forwarded documents, police statemenst etc. It has taken a number of years to conclude this matter. Only for it to start all over again today. With a call centre person, not allowing a person to explain, as they know better. What does a person do?

I keep getting an sms from vvm inc stating that no payments have been receieved for my cell c a/c... I have never had a cell c account! I eventually got the number provided today to work but was subjected to a bad recording of music! I think this is just a scam and that tehy are either earning a kick back on dialling of the number or something! These guys need to be stopped harrassing law abiding people.

I paid off the account, but are still pestered
I was handed over to vvm attorneys for a cell phone account that I paid in full after vvm informed me that I owed the money. After paying the full amount, they are still pestering me with calls and smsses at all times of the day. I've tried to phone them, but the phones just keep on ringing! This is bordering on harassment! Can someone tell these people to just find someone else to phone or sms. I suspect that all the costs of the calls and smsses are once again going to come from my pocket? This is not acceptable and very unprofessional.
I don't understand how you guys operate, when one person has called and arrangements were made and then 10 more people phoning for the same thing isn't that a waste on your telephone bill.Look at your telephone bill and the amount of money you collect from one person and check if it is profitable to make calls that are almost the amount you need to collect from one individual...
