The technician damaged my thermostat during installation, stayed in my home until 12:15 AM, and the salesperson misrepresented the credit check as a “soft inquiry.” I later discovered Vivint opened a $3,600 Fortiva credit line in my name without my consent.
After canceling within the legal 3‑day window, Vivint uninstalled their equipment, and ADT found my previously working system was now damaged — costing me $605 to replace the panel and sensors. Vivint refuses to take responsibility.
This company’s practices are unprofessional, deceptive, and align with the FTC’s recent sanctions against them. I would never recommend Vivint to anyone.
