There are 7 of us taking the Athens to Venice cruise this September. 4 of the group bought their tickets early. Later 3 of us decided to join them. When we asked how we could all be put together, we were told all we had to do was have Viking link together our numbers, which we did. Total lies! As of today, we are not able to eat together for technicalities that weren't mentioned. We are not even on the same walking tours. You can only sign up for excursions and extra meals based on when the ticket was purchased and what your cabin number is. Linking with others does nothing. NONE of this was explained and we asked numerous times.
4 different calls to Customer Service have resulted in nothing. The last person I spoke with said she was the highest authority I could talk to. When I asked if that meant she owned the company, she refused to answer "no". Just kept repeating "I'm Management". I give up. I did get one manager to say that they would counsel the agent who told us these lies. No apology to us, not a free drink, nothing. That does nothing for us!
Recommendation: Beware! I would call 5 different times before buying a ticket just to see if you get 5 different answers to your questions.
