I used Vacasa as the middleman for a family vacation when I went through AirBNB this year.

And when I left the property, I forgot a couple items (fishing rods), so I contacted Vacasa on my ride home asking them to have the cleaning staff to gather my items and I would gladly pay to have them sent back to me.

Seems pretty reasonable.

Well, it has been a month and all I have heard when I inquire about the status of my items is a [censored] response. No effort done on their part. So I continue to ask 'have you located my items?' Nothing...

Then they tell me I have to send them $25 JUST so that they will call the local office 'to ASK' did they find anything?' They would not even pick up the phone and ask the local office about the items without making me send them money.

If that isn't POOR customer service, I don't know what is.

I'm sure my items are long gone. Hopefully one of the cleaning staff's family can use a nice LL.Bean rod.

So after a month with no response besides 'we apologize'.

I believe, over time, if this is standard practice for Vacasa and the way they treat their customers, this company will not survive.

I personally have decided that Vacasa 'Does NOT care about its customers".

I will never rent with AirBNB again when their involved.
