Truwest Credit Union Truwest has been a pain in my side for quite sometime now

Truwest has been a pain in my side for quite sometime now. Only went to them due to being a close bank and truly regretted it since. Constantly battling them for falsely charging me fees for things that havent happened. They support fraudulent charges and rarely will assist you if there is theft or unauthorized charge. Wont disable overdraft "protection" which is a scam within itself but also wont notify you of large charges on your account. Truwest really does not care about you.

TruWest has known about the FRAUDULENT activities involving cashier checks! According to Chantelle they have known for sometime that someone or some nefarious company is using their (TruWest) name and logo on FRAUDULENT cashier checks. As Ms. Chantelle said "everyone knows about the scam being a secret shopper and you buy gift cards." I'm sorry that "News" didn't make it to the Midwest! We have been taken for over $7000. My husband thought this was legitimate because the scum bag knew my husbands name and other information. My complaint is as follows: 1. TruWest knew that FRAUDULENT cashier checks were being used! 2. TruWest was aware of this scheme using it's name, why did they not report it to the US ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE? 3. If they had done this (reported to US ATTORNEY GENERAL) other banks would have been made aware of the nefarious actions and would handle ANY cashier checks coming from TruWest. Therefore the REPUTABLE banks could have put a 3 to 7 day hold on ANY MONIES associated with their credit union. Now, I am asking not asking for my money back, but, to protect ANYONE else who is going through this mess. I BLAME TRUWEST CREDIT UNION FOR LETTING THIS FRAUD PERPETUATE THROUGHOUT OUR BANKING SYSTEMS. I also think that Ms Chantelle needs a refresher course in Customer Service . I expect a full apology from her and TruWest, for not taking matters to the proper AUTHORITIES! I truly hope that the ComplaintsBoard.com is looking closely into this matter. Kathleen Puga

Stay away from TruWest Credit Union, they has no compassion or ethics. I have always had great experience with Credit Unions, however, TruWest is a true nightmare! I had an explosion and fire in which I lost everything. My new car was inside the garage and was totaled. Unfortunately, my loan for the car was with TruWest. As soon as TruWest found out the car was totaled they demanded payment in full. On numerous occasions I tried to explain to the collections department that payment would be sent as soon as the insurance company processes the evaluation and paperwork. Within weeks they received a payment for the bulk of the loan from the insurance company. Next the Gap insurance needed to be processed and they would pay their portion. The last step is the extended warranty to pay off the last of loan after they process their paperwork. TruWest did not want to hear about the process all they wanted was the money. Even though TruWest had the bulk of the loan, about $20,000 from the insurance company they demanded it all now and insisted I pay now! I don't understand why they demanded I pay them now when once the car was paid off they would just be sending the payment back. Many times I tried to explained to TruWest that I had lost everything and didn't even a place to live. I stressed to them I needed to buy food and shelter and paying off a car which was almost payment in full was not my priority. They didn't care...I kept receiving nasty calls, threatening e-mails and letters. Every time I called TruWest they would be screamed at me and on more than one occasion I was hang-up on. I called just a few days ago to give them a check number and the date it was sent from the dealership and they refused take the information down. Now it has been 3 months since the fire and the car loan has been totally paid off. However, now TruWest wants me to pay interest on the loan because they didn't get the money immediately. Even though within the first weeks they had $20,000 of the loan which was quite a bit higher than my $400 monthly payment, they still insist I make that payments to them. TruWest explain they took the $20,000 and chose to apply it to the principal of loan so I still owe them interest. Now they are now threatening me if I don't pay the $142 interest which they added to the loan. Throughout this ordeal never did I hear a kind word from TruWest. No one cared that I was at the worse point of my life and wouldn't even acknowledge my circumstance. They are heartless and ruthless. This credit union is absolutely horrible...save yourself from this nightmare and go somewhere else.

Truwest Credit Union Short story - DO NOT BANK HERE - THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR LOYAL MEMBERS

Short story - DO NOT BANK HERE - THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR LOYAL MEMBERS. Long Story - This bank doesn't try to work with it's members at all. I have been banking with them for a few years now and recently switched to another bank for a few reasons but decided to leave our account with them open because I planned on using it again soon. During this time, I left a little bit of money in my account and didn't use it much. I recently have been having some financial issues because of COVID-19 (not working) and had to use the money in my account and then some which caused 2 overdrafts. I called to ask them to please reverse the fees because of the circumstances and because it is a whopping $35 each ($70 total) that I can't pay right now. They only agreed to reverse one even though I told them my situation and that I could not pay them. The woman I spoke with talked to her supervisor, who apparently couldn't care less and nothing. So I tried to understand and I transferred some money into the account to cover most but it was still negative by a few dollars. I then had another bill automatically withdrawn from the account before I could cancel it (which I know was my mistake) a few weeks later and called to ask if at least one of the 2 overdraft fees could be reversed and they would not do it. I explained how I cannot afford an extra $70 right now since I can barely pay my bills and could possibly pay one but they couldn't care less. They will only reverse ONE fee per YEAR! That is completely ridiculous! I have banked at many places and they have always done at least 2/year but I have also had banks reverse 3 in a year because they actually value their customers (AND BECAUSE THE FEE IS MADE UP - IT DOESN'T ACTUALLY COST THEM ANYTHING). Those other banks did that for me when there wasn't a pandemic happening and TruWest cant even reverse 2 during a major crisis! I am sure they will get help from the government during all of this but won't do anything to pass the help down to it's "small" customers. Again, reversing the fees doesn't cost them anything - they've made money off of the money I have had in there over the years but god forbid I ask them to not charge me an arm and a leg when I overdraft a couple times during a pandemic. I am disgusted and will tell everyone I know to never bank here!

Truwest Credit Union Tru West Credit Union added $1500 to the balance of my auto-loan without notice, explanation, or legal cause

Tru West Credit Union added $1500 to the balance of my auto-loan without notice, explanation, or legal cause. I already know tru west will claim it is a result of not having car insurance, but tru west's claim is demonstrably false. They never contacted me about any issue with my insurance because there isnt one. I have had full collision coverage the entire time ive had the vehicle. This is just a cash grab, hoping some customers wont notice or complain. Tru west's actions are unacceptable professionally and illegal. The fee needs to be immediately refunded along with all interest that has accrued as a result of Tru west's nefarious activity.

They noted that I never sent a document back to receive refund of money that was stolen by YELP. But I know for sure the document was sent back if I was at the location every week talking to the manager trying to get my money back with in the timeframe to file a complaint why would I not send document back to get money that was stolen from me. I want refund for $586.77 that Yelp stole + $48.46 that was deposited into closed account from Uber. Location this happened at was
