Truist Bank (formerly BB&T Bank) review: Unethical, irresponsible behavior

On June 16, 2021, I went to my local branch on Plank Road, Fredericksburg, Virginia to pay my escrow shortage in the amount of 78.65. They already took the money out of my account but when I called BB&T mortgage they told me they never received it. I have been back and forth with the branch since June and they said it was the mortgage company's fault, that it is up to them to return my money. The lady I spoke to was Jill Fennewald. However, when I called BB&T mortgage they said that was the branch's fault and that I should resolve it with the branch. It is now 2022 already. I am about to close my mortgage and everyone has been pushing off the responsibility to each other and no one owns up to it. My money already got taken out of my checking account and I still have the receipt, but that money is lost forever and did not go anywhere. I bet if the bank loses any amount of money they will do all sorts of recounts and investigations. It is just so funny and fishy how they somehow gain 78.65 somewhere and it is ok and no need to check. I work hard for my money. Money does not just fall from the sky. I want my money back but no one takes responsibility.
