Resolved fraud

I have dealt with TNT for over a year.
They have a culture of fraud embeded in the company.
They try through every possible tactit overcharge.
Trying to resolve overcharging is a difficult process.
Plus there service is absolutly appalling .
TNT is just a dishonest company who lie and cheat to there customers, overcharge them and then you have to prove afterwards you have been overcharged and without
retaining documents to prove they have ripped you off it is a big problem to get them to refund you.

    TNT is a Fraud in Australia as well. You will be better off without TNT Couriers
    The similar thing happened to me in Sydney
    I had an account with TNT in Sydney . It was a home business account. For years i paid all their bills. In the beginning it looked all right as I never realised they are cheating me with hidden penalties. They hit their customers with various hidden fees and charges .Such as I was never told that i would be paying $5 minimum for additional for each small or big parcel, if picked up from my street address . And then if the parcel is getting delivered to me the same thing will apply meaning additional fees $5 or $6 each time. In Addition TNT will charge me higher price for all parcels ( nearly double or more which other competitors are charging )
    Plus they don’t stop here. After charging penalties for home business, then TNT will charge additional fee of $12to $15 if they came to deliver and no one was hone. Although you have told in writing to drop the parcels at door irrespective if someone is there or not.
    Not to mention The TNT Staff is intentionally deceitful that they will never disclose these charges when you are booking a parcel they will hide these hidden deceitful penalties when you are making any bookings. And TNT will never give a pick up or delivery time
    The interstate ordinary overnight 20 Kg parcel which TNT charges $70-$80 will be charged $20 to $30 by most other Couriers like www.e-go.com.au Couriers or www.interparcel.com.au or www.transdirect.com.au

    I am currently pursuing a claim for massive overcharging and have had all the same problems with TNT over the years. I feel a fool to have let them string me out this long. I was being charged a dead weight which for my guitars (rguitars.co.uk) was £10. I have recently realised I have been paying a MINIMUM of £25 but an average of around £35 for most of my deliveries. I have also found a guitar that I was charged £130 for as it was "manually keyed in incorrectly" stating it was 250 kilos - yet nothing flagged up by their stafff.

    TNT is a fraud - Someome within TNT has said they will "try" to get £1000 back but I am not hopeful as no claim previously has been paid - and yes, they make every procedure a nightmare in the hope you give up.

    They are trying to rip me off as well
    They have invoiced me for some FOC samples from Taiwan clearly marked "samples of no commercial value"
    They say invoice amount is for usd $40 so I have to pay them £30.07! sterling for import duty/vat paid by tnt uk
    They show 0 for the duty? So all vat?
    We have imported regularly for 25 years and have never been in this situation.
    We have a 20ft container ETA 31-12-17 TODAY at Southampton Docks and if we have to readjust to these rates invoice should be USD $2, 926, 500.00 with vat and duty to match or at least £600, 000 sterling. This would be around 100 times the cost or more.
    A loaf of bread would be over £200 by the time purchased in a shop and a small box of screws £800.
    We only paid $58, 812.24 for whole consignment which was invoice amount from our supplier and would normally pay the VAT and Duty invoice from our shipper who makes these payments on our behalf (expected amount around £11, 000 give or take a few hundred pounds dependant on exchange rate used (they all try to give a poor rate including on the freight charges as well)
    They said I personally had opened an A/C with them which I had not done as I had bad experiences when dealing with them as our courier in 1997 ish. The have since said they opened it "on my behalf"
    It is putting strain on my relationship with my supplier who I have dealt with for over 15 years. Most of the Taiwanese manufactures are honourable companies and I am certain this particular one is not involved in this.
    I am trying to find out who I can inform and get confirmation from at HMRC. I have to make sure I will not be charged enormous extra cost for this and retro costs on previous imports which would run in millions, Billions of pounds!!! We are only a very small company and we are only breaking even at this time.
    My supplier and my shipper I have informed as I will not be liable for any costs and if container is stuck or goes back i expect full payment in £ sterling for the full invoice amount I paid 10 days ago (around £45, 000) from supplier.
    It takes over 6 months from placing order to get delivery. This particular order was placed on the 5th June 2017 and we have more in the pipeline.

    Why does HMRC do nothing about these rogue practices? Are TNT too big to be bought to justice?

    I have emailed TNT several times making the situation clear and their liability for delays and returns. I have also let them know that we will no longer except any deliveries form them or any of their subsidiaries either international or domestic by document parcel or pallet.
    I will inform all staff first thing Tuesday morning and get a sign stating we do not accept TNT deliveries. I will let all our suppliers and other companies who deliver to us this as well as asking them to change couriers. We are still bound to get some attempted deliveries which we will refuse.
    Although only a small company we deal with and support a number of larger ones and we will use all our influence to get them to change couriers.

    It would be interesting to hear more ex employees of TNT and how widespread this culture is.

Resolved worst service - wasted money

We paid $130 for an item to be delivered on "overnight First-class" from Sydney to Perth and it wasn't delivered until two days later. We weren't notified and as such, this meant that we had to pay to have the item sent back to Sydney because the person it was being sent to had already left Perth.
When I rang to ask for a refund, I was told to wait until we received an invoice. Six weeks later, we have still not received an invoice and after numerous frustrating phone calls, being promised someone will call back (who, of course, never does) I was very rudely told today that "Overnight first-class" has a "flexible time-frame" that could include the following day and was told we are not entitled to a refund.
I will never use this company for anything again and I hope no one else has to waste so much time chasing something like this up!

This pertains to TNT Express in India ( Bangalore office), regarding their unfair practices (rather atrocities) in India towards their paying customers.

Recently we received a shipment through TNT Express from Taiwan, the product is non branded CCTV cameras.

TNT while filling has used wrong HS Code and product description which pertains to Digital Cameras, so the customs has not agreed to invoice value ( which is very obvious because you can not get Digital Cameras at CCTV Camera price). The customs has loaded value on our invoice value and levied extra duty which is 200% more than normal duty ( around 15k)

TNT has paid this extra duty with out even contacting us or asking any documents from us and now are demanding extra duty from us to deliver the products.

We questioned TNT if there was a objection from Indian customs on invoice value why TNT did not contact us and seek our opinion on customs objection, TNT is not able to answer to date

In past it has happened with DHL where they promptly called us and we provided bank proof and customs agreed for the price in the invoice.

I would like to check with fellow members dose any one have a similar experience, what are the options we have now ? yes challenging TNT legally will be like David Fighting Goliath.

We has a company has decided to never use TNT service again.

We sincerely hope the CEO of TNT International or Country head of TNT responds through this forum, If so we are more than happy to provide more details.

    TNT has a rule who is their customer they make blunder mistakes and never agree to it.

    they dont even realize what customer is paying for it . they dont have idea customer have to pay off all their profits of shipment just because of their poor communication and poor services,

    and custom department is also a big fool they dont even see what the parcel has got .

    I really hate TNT, they have also done same with me 2 times.

TNT Express' NYC branch offered to ship products I purchased from another company for over six hundred dollars. They were tasked with delivering the product to the city of Guadalajara, in the State of Jalisco, Mexico.

TNTE's first mistake was taking the contract. As a courier, they have no legal right to carry over a certain dollar figure in Mexico. Customs impounded the perfectly legal purchase.

Their second mistake was not telling me; I found out by the web.

I then contacted the company. The first CSR spent about five minutes quibbling because she wanted to prove me wrong when I said the goods were in the wrong State. They are; the goods were held up in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. That's the wrong State. The CSR seemed to believe that insisting the customer was wrong for using the word State to refer to an Estado (as in Estados Unidos de Mexico, the United States of Mexico, the country's full name) was somehow a way to avoid responsibility.

The next CSR asked if I'd kindly drive from Guadalajara to Mexico City and get the package myself. Apparently a few hundred miles of mountain roads shouldn't be considered an inconvenience.

I finally spoke with a senior company official. The company official revealed TNT Express was not authorized to carry goods from Mexico City across Mexico City. Had they sent the goods from their hub in Miami directly to Guadalajara, the goods would be held in GDL at the Airport. This would be acceptable; I could retrieve it from the airport. Instead, my goods were impounded by customs because TNT is not authorized to transfer them across Mexico.

Let me restate that: TNT sent my goods to the wrong city in the wrong state and had them held for duties halfway across the country. They did not even know they had no right to deliver goods across Mexico, even though they offer shipping throughout the country. The company does NOT know the regulations of its own industry.

TNT offered two possible resolutions; I could either hire an agent and pay for them to release my goods from customs, then let them be delivered across Mexico, or I could have them returned to the US and sent back to GDL for delivery at the airport. I asked for the goods to go back to Miami.

Instead, agents began contacting me to ask for money for customs. The fees were far higher than any duties I've ever paid for similar products. TNT had promised to pay for the commissions these agents charge by reimbursing me. Needless to say, this statement has no credibility at this point.

TNT E, when you have a customer whose package is in the wrong city, don't argue geography with them. Don't ask them to go get it themselves in their car. Don't expect them to pay agents to fix your mess. Know the laws of a nation before you get your customer's merchandise impounded by customs. Correct the issue and make good on the delivery you promised.

Everyone else, find another courier.

I was ready to go to Western Union and make the transaction when the woman at the register suggested before I do this - "go home and double check".. Thank you Lady at the Giant Grocery Store -- check this out.
The MacBook Air is still available, but I'm currently in London, United Kingdom. Because of the financial crisis, I lost my job in United States and I had to move at my sister in London ( here I found a good job ) .
I don't need the laptop anymore so I tried to sell the laptop locally, but with no luck. I was offered silly money for the laptop because of issues like - it is a US version or the warranty doesn't work here or that it has a US keyboard format. That's why I'm trying my luck in the US.
I hope you are still interested. The laptop was bought brand new from Apple a 6 months ago. I have attached some pics with it to this email.
About the laptop I can say it is 6 months old and it is in good shape, no scratches, no dents as you can see from the pics I've sent. Included in the $340 price is everything the laptop came with when it was new, including the original manuals and warranty papers. The warranty is fully transferable to the new owner.

Repeatedly called the TNT service hotline, said on the consignment note 7am-7pm daily, over almost a whole week i called well within 9am-5pm to schedule redelivery no one bothered to pick up the phone. Then almost a week had gone I was left a message to call another number instead, which again was very hard to call through. When indeed re-delivery was scheduled, the re-delivery never came. The tracking just stopped at 'Freight in Transit.' 2 days later I called again to be informed that they didn't know where the parcel was. Just couldn't find it in the depot either. Promised to call back to update but didn't happen. I'd to call again the next day to be told they'd found it, at another depot. By then a week and a half had passed already since the supposed arrival date. Just couldn't trust them anymore, I went to pick up myself, and after a long period of waiting (30mins - gone in with just my consignment note and took so long to come out), the unfriendly staff came out with my parcel torn to pieces. The stuff inside was scratched, and the parts needed to assemble it were gone. Now awaiting customer service to call me back for reimbursement. Wow, 'Express' delivery huh, at a took-longer-than-normal-Post, appalling-service, damaged-goods guarantee. Disgusting.

The laptop is still available, but I'm currently in London, England. Because of the financial crisis, I lost my job in United States and I had to move at my sister in United Kingdom ( here I found a good job ) .
The laptop is in perfect condition, and I will sell it only in US because here the warranty and the AppleCare are US registered. I am selling the laptop because I don't use it anymore. I work a lot with Windows XP Pro and this one can't run this Operating System.

Resolved Absolutely no reponse...Ransome!

TNT China took receipt of my shipment (Box of Used Network Equiptment) 1 month ago. I am told that I need to apply for Custom Clearence at a cost of 6000 RMB (approx 800USD / 600GBP on cost of goods 200GBP) and told it would take 45 days - 3 months! I asked to re-route or return the shipment, I was told it was impossible! So I have lost my shipment, i think this is robbery!

I will never use TNT ever again...

Delivery "held at warehouse" for no apparent reason. No notification, no nothing. The shipment will now be delivered 4 days later than promised. I might as well have used registered mail and saved 40 USD.

Resolved poor delivery times

TODAY is the 22 November 2009 and still no delivery, TNT blame SAA (South African Airways) and CUSTOMS for not releasing a container with multiple consignments because according to them not everyone has paid there duties on the consignments, I have never had a problem with DHL and used them mant times before. I tried calling for feedback seldom get back to you maybe 1 out of 4 times and another thing they should update internet tracking service daily to let you know what is happening. Really bad service from TNT South Africa, wont use them again if I can help it.

    TNT Express is one of the worst parcel Deliver company you can find.

    My Delivery was sent with them on 10th December 2009 and today is 21st December 2009 and i have not still recieved it and its not comming from outside but within the UK.

    I gave them an alternative address to deliver but instead of delivering my goods to my alternative address they delivered to the wrong address and that is someone else.
    and they say i gave them that address but they wont admitt their mistake buy entering the house number wrong. Now how can someone give their house number wrong?

    When i contacted them again then they went back to the wrong address and picked up my goods and i dont understand why did that person accepted the goods in first place where the parcel doesnt belong to him?

    When they picked up the goods they went to deliver to the orginal address and i dont understand why did they go there when i gave them an alternative address first place.

    So i contacted again and they said give us an alternative address which is the same address again i gave them. But next day and the day after no goods yet still recieved so whats happening?

    I waited and contacted the company who sent the goods with TNT and explained to them whats happening and when they contacted them the TNT express lied and told them the wrong stories.

    They said first we delivered it (Which is wrong house they didnt admitt that to them)

    They said we delivered it again but no one signed it (This means they went to the orginal address instead of alternative address and they didnt admitt that.

    Then they say that we went to the alternative address and someone refused the goods (Which is lie because we all were expecting the goods also i have given the contact no.

    Now i have given them the same address and in the house and its been 3 days but no goods delivered yet from them.
    Contacted the sender and they are finding out.

    All i here it will be delivered next day and when next days comes the message is same it will be next day and yet i havent recieved the goods yet from TNT.

    They messed everything up in their office and people havent got a clue what they are doing in to TNT express.
    The driver is not at fault but the people in the office is making mistakes over and over.

    It is a Bad experiance for me with TNT and i havent got my goods yet from them.

TNT courier service is the worst service you can get, most of the people here are complaining about scam, but i got deal with the geniun TNT courier.
My complaint is: i purchase some mobiles from a manufacturer in china, he uses TNT to send me the mobiles, i never receive my mobiles till date..
Whenever, i call TNT Mauritius, they speak rudely, that they don't know anything where my parcel is. Am sure they have lost it in transit, I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY ARE THE BEST COURIER SERVICE IN THE WORLD. For me its the worst one, they must change the title ' SURE WE CAN' to ' SURE WE CAN STEAL '
Most people here in mauritius, have lost their parcel while using TNT courier service, i still can't understand, who are those fools who has given tnt the award for best courier service

Resolved some scammers wanted to dupe me but...

Thank you so very much for this forum. Some very stupd scammers wnted to dupe me in the name of tnt courier services and microsoft coporation. Thet said I had won a lump sum of 891, 934 great britain pounds. They latter said I won 500, 000 great britain pounds. Thet used the name cmelot group email draw. They said the randomly selected diffderent emails around the world wide web and I was one of the lucky winners of the lump sum. Please I have alot of proofs in statements they mailed to me below. Thanks.

Resolved Bad service

Totally not satisfied with the service TNT - Libya provides. It's not the first time we have been not satisfied by them, but this time is probably one of the few last times we will deal with them.
I had an extremely important parcel sent from China and I called to arrange for delivery the day after the arrival of the parcel. On the phone the assistant confirmed the deliver, however nothing was delivered until 3pm. I called to check up, after 5 unanswered calls the assistant picked up and said she will contact the driver. The driver called me and said he was on the way and he will deliver it. Based on that, I called the client who the parcel belonged to so he could collect it and guess what? I ended up with a very upset client cause he had to take a 2 hours drive just to collect the parcel and he didn't receive anything. I called the driver to see why he hasn't deliver yet. He picked up and said it's after working hours and he will do it tomorrow. as if it was he is the one making the decision when to deliver it.

Thank you very much TNT for giving your dealership to a company in Libya without supervising their services.
Now I don't even know if the Actual TNT company is reliable anymore!

FedEx is what I'm going for I guess. At least they answer my calls every time I call.
