I also made the mistake of coming across these individuals and "company". I filled a form with all kinds of questions and also I was requested to give my landline telephone number as they would use this to verify I had not stolen the card. That was annoying enough as I have been making purchases for years in Amazon, flight tickets etc without having to stand by the telephone like a spinster. My bank has additionally extra safety procedures that when the card is used, I still have to enter extra codes for my bank given to me by it. I gave all those details and nobody called me, and I did not get any template. Not only that. I was at the surgery, my working place, a place whose telephone number is on the Yellow Pages, thus, i was very well traceable. Nothing, they did not bother to call. Worst than that, I received an email saying that I should fax them a copy of my credit card but I could cover some numbers if I wanted. So, I had to go through all that rubbish procedure that took me an hour waiting for a call that never came and then they still wanted me to get out of my workplace, and find a scanner and find a fax and send them a copy of my card. That was the peak of rage. I asked them for my money back. They never returned my money, never sent me any template. Additionally I have heard that most of their templates are faulty, don't work, are not genuine, are not made by them, but on the contrary, they take templates from authors and give them a share, (I want to think so) . You are not allowed to contact the authors of the templates. My advice. Stay away. Do not buy anything from them.

    I can understand sebadamus's complaint completely, having had a near identical experience .

    We had used, we bought a template and installation to help speed up the launch of a new site, in the end they delayed our entire project by three weeks.

    FYI I personally have a PhD in computer science, 6+ years in software development and more recently 3+ years as web developer
    So when i make the claim that the provided template was full of bugs and that their own installation team could not install it within the three weeks of daily hassle, believe me. It happened, never in my life had i expected a company with such a large web presence to be utterly dishonest and crooked.

    We got a refund in the end.. but that also took days and days to sort out... Paypal were mediating because of appeals to a refund issued by and
    In the end i forced paypals hand into getting a refund by filing a charge back with my bank for the amount.
    Its not longer my problem..

    I bought a template, 140us for the template and 40 more for "installation", I would have expected a full installation, free of errors, and tested, but NOT near it. The template worked with error just from the start, the template "helper" the one installs your template keeps saying "you have to ask for support on..." but, hey! you are the one responsible for installing. So they get you tired adding support tickets. So, now I am trying opencart, seems very flexible and stable (not as buggy as joomla with virtuemart monstertemplate)

    This entire company is USELESS. No working phone - no email response and they tell you one thing while doing another. I asked for a phone call for 7 days..nothing. They cost me money and almost my job. They hide behind email and chat sessions ! I would NEVER use them or their affiliated companies.

    I do not think you are right. I've been buying templates from TemplateMonster for 5 years and never had any problems. Of course I did have some issues with their products but I always resolved them via their support chat.

    As for the payment options - you are WRONG. They do not have your CC information, because they use third party payment gateways like Paypal, 2Checkout and Royal Bank of Scotland.

    I think your issue - someone had stolen your CC and tried to fraud Templatemonster trying to buy their templates with your credit card.
