It's quite frustrating because you can't even talk to a real person since they seem to be too busy hiding behind their website. Snagit used to be a fantastic product, but now it's just not worth the money. The lack of customer service is a major drawback, and I'm actively looking for an alternative program. I would advise you to save your hard-earned money. If you encounter any problems, you'll end up being the guinea pig for Techsmith since their IT support is practically non-existent.

I was charged for the shipping and the disc, and eagerly downloaded the software onto my computer. However, I never actually tested the disc itself.

To my dismay, I discovered that the disc did not contain an EXE file, rendering it useless for my purposes. I engaged in a series of email exchanges with their support team, explaining the situation and attaching a picture of my receipt as proof of purchase. Much to my disappointment, I was informed that Techsmith no longer offers discs and that I was outside of their 30-day return policy. Essentially, they sold me a defective product and refused to take responsibility for it.

This experience left me feeling incredibly let down by Techsmith. I had trusted them to provide a reliable and functional product, but instead, I received a useless disc that was of no help when I needed it the most. Their lack of support and unwillingness to rectify the situation only added to my frustration.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend Techsmith based on my personal experience. They failed to deliver on their promise of providing a disc version of the software and did not stand behind their product when it turned out to be defective. As a customer, I expected better service and support, but unfortunately, I was left disappointed and dissatisfied.

We a small edumacational organization, ya know, we made some fancy interactive videos usin' Camtasia. We thought we were all smart and stuff, so we decided to host 'em on techsmith's website 'cause they got all them interactive features we needed. But then, durin' this whole pandemic mess, we got this message from TechSmith sayin' they gonna delete all them videos that ain't been accessed in a whole year. We were like, "No worries, mate! Our videos are used by teachers every semester!" But guess what? TechSmith went ahead and deleted 'em anyways! Can ya believe that?

I've been using TechSmith's Camtasia for a long time, and I've upgraded it a bunch of times. Their customer service has always been great - really nice, professional, and helpful.

But then I decided to buy Audiate. And boy, oh boy, did I have problems. I couldn't even log in! So, I sent them an email asking for help. No response. I tried calling them, but no one picked up. I was getting frustrated. After a few months, I gave it another shot, and finally, someone helped me log in. I thought, "Alright, now I can get started and explore." But guess what? The next day, I couldn't log in again. Ugh!

I had to reach out to customer service once more, and they helped me log in again. But when I asked for a credit, they said I would only get one month's worth. Can you believe it? It took me four months to get help, and they could see that I couldn't log in even once. And on top of that, they were so mean and rude. It was just awful. We even started complaining about them online because their customer service was useless. Eventually, they offered me two more months of credit, but they refused to refund the $30 for the last month. Seriously, what the heck?!

And to make matters worse, they had the audacity to ask me to upgrade Camtasia. Can you believe that?

Let me tell you the truth - there's absolutely nothing you can't get from Final Cut Pro that you can get from Camtasia. So, don't waste your time with their lousy customer service.

Overall, my advice is to skip all the nonsense and go for something better with real support. I will never, ever use TechSmith again. They clearly don't care about their customers.
