Sunset World Resorts & Vacation Experiences review: "disappointing experience — be careful before signing"

I would seriously think twice before buying a timeshare from Sunset Royale.

My experience was very disappointing. The sales process felt extremely pressured, and I felt like they pushed hard to get a commitment before I had enough time to really think things through. If you’re considering buying, please take your time and read everything carefully.

The biggest issue is that once you’re in, it feels like you’re stuck. They will not simply buy the timeshare back from you, and trying to cancel is made extremely difficult. I was told that cancelling could result in a penalty of around $25,000, which felt completely unreasonable and left me feeling trapped.

The quality of the stay was also not what I expected. The food was disappointing, and some of the meals seemed old and not up to the standard you would expect for the price you pay.

My advice: do your homework, don’t let anyone pressure you into signing anything on the spot, and be very careful before committing to a timeshare. Make sure you fully understand how difficult it can be to get out of the agreement later.
