My husband did one of those vacation 'things" with Monster. There is some fine print you need to pay attention to. Anyway, one was for the Poconos, it was close to Philly (close enough anyway) where we have family so we went. The place was in disrepair to say the least. Ok, beds were clean, and the place wasn't a shambles. But, the toaster worked in the middle only, so curled half toasted bread...this was the least of our issues. The bathroom exhaust fans worked as they should but they sounded like planes landing. They need to be off for any conversation to take place. The jet tub was off...for a reason I know now, when you turned it on it spewed black flakes. Now, the indoor pool takes the cake. I went for a swim, never touched the water. Water was milky and there were numerous hair extensions floating in it. I reported all of this to the staff, their answer was that Exploria had just purchased the property and they were working through all of these issues. I was stupid enough to believe them, turns our they have owned the property for over 30 years! They were all onboard with that lie, like they'd actually had rehearsal for such occurences.
Recommendation: Read the WHOLE contract, there is nothing in there to protect the consumer, the 10 day opt out period is definitely not enough, or fair to the consumer. You don't find out you can't make reservations until you are given your magic access to their reservation system. In the contract access is promised at two weeks, we got it at 4. When I called to inquire about the availability of instantaneous reservations I was told by the kind woman that that was only possible at two properties!!! laughable.
How could I forget, we had the sliding glass door open just a foot or so when it began to rain. Within minutes the gutter outside was flawed in such a way that water poured into the living room like someone had turned on a firehouse. Even this didn't alarm the staff when we gave them a list of problems with the condo.
