Sony delaying on delivery

Hi guys!

It´s unbelievable but it´s true! I´ve been waiting for more than 40 days to receive my purchase from SONY STYLE Brazil, and everytime when I call sony to complain about the delay I got the same answer! "Wait a few more days!" Until when will I have to be waiting? Untill the world´s end?

I think no one cares about sony Brazil! There´s a thousand people complaining the same thing at www.reclameaqui.com.br, which is one of the best brazilian complaining websites, but nothing is done for them and for me! Just take a look to SONY avaliation in Brazil! It´s horrivel!

It´s an absurd! and I do not recommend anyone to buy anything from SONY STYLE Brazil!

Sony... I hope you to change the way you´re working! Take the right way please! I love your products, but It´s ridiculus to wait for more than 40 days to receive a purchase!

Sony aditya enterprises wants money in warranty period

I want to say that I have purchase a mobile model Aino U10i on 13/ 06/2010, IMEI No- [protected]. In this mobile phone a little problem in slider I had hand over to Aditya Enterprises ( Authorised Service Center in Patna, Bihar ) on 02/04/2011, they received as physically damage and charge Rs-250/- They gave me a serial no- 1826 not any work order no. But my mobile has no any damage or scratch and also in warranty period. When ever I call to service center to know the status of my phone they did not gave me satisfactory answer they always told me I will call you in few minutes and no any call me all day. I went service center on 05/05/11and want to take my phone they told me you will have to pay Rs-2250/- more. I surprised and told him my phone is in warranty period how can I pay it they do not give me satisfactory answer and I took my phone without paying.I went to another service center (R K Telecom ) they checked my phone and want to submit their, but he told me your phone is two time entered at service center one no 29/04/11 work order no- SE31186010215 and another 05/05/11 Work order. No- SE31186010453 (But Aditya Enterprises did not give me any Work order no.) and also entered as liquid damage and non warranty period, but I have slightly problem in slider and want to submit in R K Telecom for repairing.I am worried and mentally tens, Kindly help me, and take action against Aditya Enterprises, otherwise I am mentally prepared to go to Consumer court for file a case.(Along with Attachment)

my name is arjun. am writing this complaint from belekahalli, bangalur. yesterday(18-07-2011) somebody came to our room and steel our mobiles. in total we lost four mobiles and one wallet. we know only one mobiles imei no. ie. for sony ericsson. the number is B59025034198972. we hope that you people can find the location by tracing the imei number. we are totly blank now. we lost our all contacts. so i request you people to trace that mobile ASAP.

I am really suffering using a Sony Ericsson CellPhone..
My Phone (w580i) bought in sep 2007 has already gone for repair twice in 6 months
1st in the span of 1 month (taken away for 21 days)
thsi is the second time.. given my phone tp Accel Frontline(Tardeo) on 3rd April 2008 and no response even today (7th may) as to when i will get it back. Calling Accel and actually getting through is a task in itself because it waists atleast half your day.
Called sony helpline in new delhi because no office in Mumbai which is so shocking.
they have not responded to when i will get it in over 12 days.
i am so frustrated.. they keep saying parts are not available. and it is supposedly a new phone lauched last year.
Replacing is what i asked in case they cant arrange for the parts but no 1 seems to be listening.
Worst case is that NO senior authority comes on the line after continuous request and no1 is taking any responsibilty.
they just keep saying.."Mam we need time, please understand"
and "Our seniors also have only that to say".. its disgusting! Theres nothing like "HIGH PRIORITY" coz no response is what you get..
your so helpless without your phone for over a month and yet waitinggggggg!
and the word WARRANTY is meaningless in their dictionery.. they might just keep your phone for the entire warranty period! BEWARE OF SONY PHONES HENCEFORTH.. !

I have purchased a new mobile (Sony Ericsson model no. S312) from "Sony Centre", 165/1, C.I.T.Road, Scheme-VII-M, Ultadanga, Kolkata- 700054 on 24/12/2009. From that day we noticed that the memory card is not working, any photo is stored on phone memory instead of memory card. When I contacted with the said shop
they informed that they do not deal with after-sales service. I went to the service centre situated at Poddar Court,
they have taken the set for servicing on 13.1.2010. Whenever we contaced with the service centre they request

I bought Sony Ericsson mobile on 3rd May 2009. From day one I noticed that the phone goes off from the network if its kept idle (no phone calls received or made). This is noticed in the mornings when the phone was idle at nights. I can see the network signal strength and service provider's name on the phone screen, but all callers will receive the phone is switched off. But, once a call is made from that phone, it start working normal; problem is when it’s idle. Mostly I notice this problem in the mornings as the phone is not used at nights.

I have visited their authorized service center, Kaizer Telecom, Vashi, Navi Mumbai twice, but the problem still persists. First time on 2nd July (Work order No: SE309KT110030) collected same day. Second time on 23rd July (work order no: SE309KT110295) and collected on 30th July. During this period they were supposed to have tested the phone, don't know what they checked because when I went to collect the phone, the battery was in discharged condition - I couldn't even check if it’s in order.

Upon reaching home I charged phone and noticed that the keys were depressed inside and upper cover popping up. I have taken up with Ms. Shalini Sharma of Sony Ericsson (Shalini.sharma@sonyericsson.com) but she is also not responding now. First time she responded and arranged a stand by set because the service centre wanted my hand set for a week to 10 days to test and have it replaced from the company.

Now I am totally convinced that this set could be a problem and need replacement of this hand set. My expectation is justified because, the set couldn't be repaired in spite of giving for service two times and the hand set beauty is diminishing with the way the set is handled at the service centre.

Appreciate the help in this regard.

But they r fail to rectifie it

I bought two Sony Ericsson c902 for my children. Both crashed because of software problems. When we went back to Sony they said it was not their company that had imported the phone and they did not recognize the warranty. I might as well have taken a Nokia to them.
My children had traveled 200 over km from Kota Marudu to the service center in Kota Kinabalu and to get treated as such. It was a software problem that they could easily corrected and solved the problem. My kids were charged RM 60 per phone and came home really pissed off. Thank for making the world an better place Sony.

Sony hacking

my internet has not been working because some one got all my info that you lost and the games i bought like map packs are gone i cant play with my friends all my trophies are gone i spent over hundered dollars i want one hunderd dollar goft card i want the new black ops map pack for free because this is your job to make surr no one gets anything about me i want all my info my map packs my trophies back i realy agravated that i had to wait 5 weeks for this crap to come on you owe me everything to me even new stuff you better give me it in my mail or i gonna be real mad go over to the studio and complaine so give me everything NOW!

BTW sony wont be up untill june/july at the earliest u fanboys, infact they only properly got back into their system on 6may. They will need to recode their whole system, which i cant see them doing very fast, infact they would need a whole new console, because as you know geohot already done broke their code lmfao. What noobs, everyones talking about it, heck i could boot up my pc right now phone a few people and probably be in their system within the hour, they are a joke, as soon as they linked their noob electronics upto the internet, its been a ticking timebomb before it got ripped apart. I suggest you go to xbox atleast they have competent coders.

Sony services

I could not believe what I have gone through today. I am currently in a business trip to Kuching, Sarawak. All of my company’s representatives are using Sony products. I was convinced to use Sony laptop and wireless mouse. I bought Sony Laptop model : S series (VPCSB16FG) S/N : [protected] 7000715 and Service Tag : C6088KDD. And bought a Sony mouse model : VGP-BMS20 Bluetooth LASER MOUSE.
I bought these two items in Kuala Lumpur (KLCC) and the outlet representative is so helpful and I had a great time and good service they, which they really help me and solve all my doubt on my Sony laptop. They also help me to operate my Bluetooth laser mouse. That was on the month of ending April 2011 (before I travel to Kuching, Sarawak on the 4th May 2011).
However, when I reached here, Kuching, I could not operate the mouse.. and I have checked the mouse battery which are fine and has changed a new battery. But it is still unable to connect to the laptop. Thus, I called in to the Sony help line. They guided me to the supported section wanted to download the software from the web, again the Sony web does not recognized the Bluetooth Laser Mouse model : VGP-BM20! I DON’T UNDERSTAND! The mouse is bought at KLCC Sony outlet! Then, the help line personnel asked me to go to Kuching’s branch to ask for help.
Today, 9th May 2011 @ 1330 time, I searched the Google map and located the area which is Lot 582, Block 10, KTLD, Ground Floor, Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce, Kuching, Sarawak. Tel: [protected]. I have called them and confirmed their lunch hour which is 12:30 to 1:30pm (Not to give any inconvenience to them).. and I managed to hire a taxi but we have drove in the Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce but still unable to locate the building. Thus, I called the office and asked. 1st was the man who directed me but I told him that I am sorry that am not familiar Kuching road and am from Kuala Lumpur. I told him that I saw Shall petrol station and Tarot Café and Bata…. I was trying to let him understand where I am but he was so frustrated and asked me to suf the google map. I told him I did but just at this road which I couldn’t locate your building and I was driving how to go on line?! So I called again, another lady answered, she also hanged up my phone and I tried to call about 10 times but they don’t want to pick up the phone and gone into the answering machine.
WHAT SERVICE IS THIS?! SONY! My GOD!

Sony service center/warrenty

i placed a work order with sony on the 19th for service on an mp3 player that had a 90 day warrenty on it and too my surprise the play lasted 90 day!. i sent the player in for repair on the 19 and after 8 days i called because it was suppose to be an exchang for another player for the low cost of 39.99 . so i get the service center on the phone and im told thay had not recived the player when infact it had been there on the 22 nd and no one had got it out of the mail. so i was told that a rush was being put on it and i'd get it by the end of the week. The end of the week no player i call again and im told that thay don't have the player still after being put in never never land im told that thay will will ship today . So long story short still no player and i called again after 20 days and im told after and hour on the phone and lots of attude that i will recive the player in 14 day in total that a month for an exchange. i ask why so long when i was told that it was being on three different call and thay said thay would transfer my call and thay hung up the phone . i call back to speek with a manager and i was told there was not one there. and thay would not transfer me to the dept i needed. So i called sony corprate office and thay got a rush put it. I will never buy another sony product . what a nightmare!

Sony repair

Bought a TV from sony three month from when it broke and I don't know why it stopped working. Supposed to be top of the line TV, or at least I thought. Walked out the room one day and came back in and it was off. The lights was flashing for some code. Around the same time my TV stop working they annouce that some hacker has stole all the playstation and qurocity customer database information. I called heated already because of this major faul in my eyes of Sony. They offered to send me a new TV to replace this broke one. They then told me to fax them a copy of my reciept. I faxed it five differnet times and they for some reason still have not recieved it after weeks. Only option now is to find authorized repair shop in which is way out of my way to have it fixed. Not to mentioned I have to work during their busniess hours. Way to go Sony! Good job on keeping your quality in your consumer goods and warrenty service. Just goes to show that they like most other companys out there, only care what you spend and not after you spend it with them.

Sony extra charge and fraud

I had problems with my sony ericson k810i mobile phone and also with the joy stick. I had visited sony ericson authorized service center in Panchkula sector-11. The complete address is

The most important aspect of this issue is the person represented Sony Ericson when he took my phone from my hand and worked on the same regarding joy stick problem and battery. After half an hour he handed over my mobile to me with changed battery and joy stick problem solved.

After that he asked me for INR 1650 for battery and INR 550 for replacing joy stick pad. He even didn't allow me to stay there so that i can see what he is doing with my mobile.

After 2 days by chance i visited chandigarh sectror-22 Sony Ericson showroom and i asked them for the baatery and joy stick. The actual that they quoted me is Battery: INR 1450 and Joy Stick Pad: INR 450.

Not even he had charged me extra for the battery and joy stick pad he provided me a battery that is Sep 2009 manufactured.

When is requested the guy to pay back my money and take your fake battery he refused to do anything and when i threatened him that i will contact Sony Ericson he replied by saying all is vain, they cant do anything.

I request you to please do the needful as i do not have the bill because he refused to give me the bill after the sale and said his bill book is ended and he do not have any extra bill book and said i am signing at the back of the battery that will work as a bill for you.

Sony Ericson is big name and i like the products very much and i was very happy but this incident will definitely affect company's image. Please look into the matter and do the needful.

i had been to the sony erison service center in malleshwaram, bangalore as i was not able to read the contacts from the sim , which was my "2 months old w950i " facult.
one of the personnel fromthe service center says that i have to upgrade the software , when i said i am the under warranty period , he says it cannot be serviced because its written on the headset " made in china ".
A man called Ramesh setty comes up , who seemed to be the senior most personnel there, yells at me and says my handsets imei number doesnt come under warranty. there no problem my IMEI number too.
finally he yells at me and says me the go " i ll not service your mobile "..not only me within one hour i saw 3 customer facing the same treatment
is this kind of a service i must expect from a service center .
i ll never purchase any sony ericson product either will i recommend anybody too go for it.

Well whoever is responsible for customer services in Abu dhabi, i really would like to say him that i am really disappointed from your Vendor Warranty. I bought K800i and just after 3 months, my mobile stopped working then i went to this shop "APTEC" on defence road, Abu dhabi, the staff of this shop was really not co-operative with me but still after having hard time with ur staff they took my mobile and they said "ur mobile will go to Dubai n will come back after 2 weeks" I was like "2 weeks? n then i jst said "OK"...n guess what i am waiting for my mobile from more than 1 and a half month and these shopkeepers are saying "WALLAH, i don't know where is ur mobile" I just keep on calling them and hardly some one picks-up the phone. I really don't want to take any action towards this...so i am mailing on these e-mail id's.

Sony sony 42& bravia tv

I purchased a Sony bravia 42" tv, August 2008. I use it about 4 hours a day and last week on Friday it started to give me problems. I was told by all my friends that had Sony tv's that they were the best! The warrenty insurance company would not repair it because they said the part I needed cost $900+, so I have to settle for a much cheaper fairly unknown brand to me. You people are suppose to be the best. No way that Tv should already be giving trouble. I had waited so long to be able to afford a Sony and now its no more. My feelings are really hurt because I had to give it up. I'm a retiree on a budget and it was a big splurge for me, but it was something I always wanted. I'm not a person who complains, but I had to say something. Thanks for the little time I had it, it was great!

Sony service by orbit electronics

COMPLAINT AGAINST ELECTRONICS.
We had given a music system(reg. no. 6103319) to Orbit for service and repairs. We were given an estimate for Rs 4000 approx. They informed us that parts would come from overseas and the system would be ready in 2 weeks. After 2 weeks when we inquired, they said parts were not adequate for the system and now the new parts would cost 6000. After 3 weeks we spoke to Ms Neelima and she said if you donot want it, you can take the system back.
We agreed to go ahead for the repairs. Theywere to inform us in a week. We were told that the guarantee would be only for a month. We told them we were travelling, so how could we check the system.
After keeping the system for more than a month, we still donot know whether it is repaired.Sony is such a reputed brand.We donot expect such behavior fron their service providers. We would be grateful if Sony can expedite this complaint.

I called the service center for a servicing for my Music system on the mid of August and was told that an engineer will visit on the coming Friday. On Aug 20 I took a leave from my office and waited the whole morning when no Sony engineer turned up I called and was given a number to directly call the service engineer who told me that he will be attending the system at around 3PM At 4 PM when he didn’t come I called again and was told that it will be difficult to attend that day and a11 AM Sunday time was given.

On Sunday I waited till 2 PM and called the service center again and was told that the engineer is on his way. Till 6 PM when nobody come I called and was told that too much work prevented him from coming.

The went on for a few more days and I stopped calling them. Finally the engineer from Sony visited me on 12th September and took the set away.

I received a call on 24th September that the set has been repaired and shall be delivered on 25th. I called again to confirm (one Kuldeep confirmed that he will be delivering the set the same day). Again I took early leave and came to home. When no body turned up till 4 PM I called the service station and was told that the engineer has already left and I waited and waited but no one came.

I called the next day and was told that the set will be delivered on Sunday and I am waiting……

I am sorry but I have a bias against Sony products made in other Asian countries other than Japan. Does Sony have a mechanism to harmonize the quality of the products bearing their brand name? I believe their name is worth protecting from poor manufacturers.
Secondary where can I buy this old model of Sony music system. Sony GRX80. I know it is obsolete but some shop somewhere could still be having it. Oh my God! It is so powerful and durable.

Further to my earlier post its been now almost a month since they took the system and I am calling them daily to deliver it and they promise every day that it will be done today but the wait is getting longer. If any one from Sony can view this just for information my Job id for the same is DRG15649 and can be checked. I am now thinking for filing a case. I cant file a case against Sony (it being too big) but I can surely file FIR against Kuldeep (that the set is stolen cause I dont know whether he is genuine or not) who took the set from my home. Well maybe in a few days.

Sony surround sound electronics scam

I thought that I had bought a BVD/580 blue ray surround sound system. When I opened the box there was a different model a BVD/570 which is $200 less and does not have a built in wireless connection like the BVD/580 has. I called customer service and they said it shows that I bought a BVD/570 even though the box the BVD/570 came in says it is a BVD/580 with a built in wireless card. They will not do anything for me so I must take them to small claims court which will cost me $60. I have spent thousands of dollars there for years and this is how they do business and take advantage of their customers. This is a very dishonest way of doing business.

Sony removal of otheros

Sony Remove features that forces us that if we do not comply with their demands they will not let us play newer games. I have already lost faith in the once great company that produces great electronics. Doesn't the saying goes if we buy our product legally we have the right to do whatever we want within reasonable grounds. They have removed the OtherOS function and I would like to get it back as it does produce great functions for us advanced users, and most of us who are angry are at a loss here.

Sony poor product quality

I bought a Sony Bravura, model, KDL32L4000, 32 inch in May, 2008. While watching TV, the equipment suddenly scrolled up and down. I have called Sony for a referral on a good technician. They have given me DRAPINSKI TV in .
Valleljo. They quoted me $87 dollars for technician an evaluation. The TV is only 2 years old and the recommended resolution was to replace the entire LCD panel, which will cost me much more than the original cost of my TV. If a component of the TV is defective, Sony does not have technicians who can fix the problem.

I have discussed the poor quality of this model with Sony's customer service. This time the person who is supposed to help me with my complaints, suggested that I buy a bigger TV at a discounted price. I was fuming mad and never will I buy Sony product primarily because of a very disappointing/poor customer service and a very poor product quality.

Sony defective product

I purchased Sony Mp3 player as a gift for my wife in 2008. Right after 8-9 months out of which we would have hadly used it for 2-3 times we started facing issues with it.i filed complaint with sony and they said that they will get back to us however did not get any call back. then after few months i wrote to them about the issue and they said that product is out of warranty and they cannot do anything. Product had issues started before it went out of warranty. with the kind of responce i got from Sony Rep i lost hope that sony would ever help me. i had a genuine issue and it was defective product. i think sony should have stood by its product and helped me here with the replacement. i spent rs2500 for this product which i hardly used for 3-4 times. Can someone please tell me how could i get it fixed by sony. Thanks

Sony tv only last 12 months

On 4 Feb 2010 I bought a Bravia TV Sony 45” KLV-46V550 from the Fotocats (Pty) Ltd TA Catsdigital – Fourways, one of the recommended retail shops. On 4 April 2011 this TV started to give problems. First is started to show lines across the screen and on the side of the screen – it comes and goes. Some. I paid R17 899.00 for the TV and it has a 1 year guarantee according to Fotocats. ONLY 2 Months after the guarantee expired and it started to give problems. Fotocats offered to send out a technician who will charge a call out fee of R750.00 to look at the problem and then they will let me know what it will cost to fix the TV. They advised that there is NO CHANCE to either replace it or to give a “loan” TV while they fix it and are not even sure how long it will take to be fixed. If you spend almost R18 000 on a TV you expect that the TV to last for a longer period than just one year. I decided to buy your product considering the reliability and the good name of SONY. I have spent enough on the TV and did not make this initial investment to spend “X” amount over and above after 12 months to continue using your product. Very disappointed in SONY product.

Sony egypt maintenance and repair center!

I have a problem with the maintance company of Sony in Egypt!
The service and the attitude and the prices are abnormal!
My TV is 3 years old and I was told today that i need to change the screen! Without any why!
Is it normal that after 3 years I have to pay the proce of a new TV to fix my tv! This is not acceptable!
You are giving us no other choice than not buying sony products in this country!

Sony malfunctioning of keys and touchscreen of 15 days old cell

I bought a Sony Ericson Aspen for Rs. 10, 000/- on 20/03/2011, from Sony Center, Arjay Retail, Indiranagar, Bangalore, India.
Bill No. being C10/14936

It is not been even a month and the cell has started malfunctioning now it has reached it's limit as the unlock touch button is not at all functioning thus my cell is lying in the lock mode since 06/04/2011 that is right after 15 days of buying it

Apart from that the generic issue faced:
1) The camera hardly gets launched, the error message which pops is that the camera can not be launched if a call is in progress, though neither there is a call in progress nor the task manager list any task being in progress.
2) The call receive and reject keys does not work most of the times so I end up missing up my calls and calling back.
3) Despite being in normal ring mode at times it would not ring even if there is a call
4) At times if I press the digit 9 the digit 8 gets pressed.
5) The videos captured would take forever to load and a lot of other problems

To resolve the issue I contacted the showroom from where I bought the cell, they completely backed out and said they can not help me at all and I should contact the service center. The service center said I need to come down and depending on the kind of defect it might take a week or more time in no case even if it is a manufacturing defect it would be replaced but just repaired.

Would surely want to know is this the kind of service Sony Ericson provides despite paying premium amount being paid. As a cell which is as old as 15 days, getting it repaired in service center and running across all the city does not seem to be the right value of the amount I have paid for the cell.

I have been a big fan of Sony so despite several warning heard against it for be it Xperia Mini Pro or Xperia or W380i I went ahead with this deal, hoping I don't end up being disappointed and my trust on Sony shattered. But this seems to work quite contrary to my believe.

The cell which starts malfunctioning within 15 days of being bought surely has manufacturing defects and need to be replaced I hope Sony addresses this ASAP

Sony warranty

I bought this Sony TV in 2006 ($1, 789.97) with a warranty ($599.99) that does not expire until 9/10/11.
My projection lamp went out and I had forgotten about this warranty, so I called Sears Parts and order this part and had it put on my Sears charge card. At this time I had not touched my tv in any way to fix it myself. Then the part came in and I installed which consisted of opening the side box, taking out the bad projection lamp assembly and putting in the new. When I realized that it was covered by the warranty I called the local Sears store here in Texarkana, TX and spoke to a Stephanie (would not give me her last name or the warranty managers name) and she said that the warranty was no good because I installed it myself. I told her that I could understand if the warranty says a tech is suppose to install, but when I ordered the part it should pay for it because it was still under warranty since I had not touched the tv at that time. I told her this, but she continued to say the warranty was no good since I installed it myself. This is not good customer service and in fact illegal, to break the contract before anything was done to the tv. Actually a monkey could put this assembly in so why send out a repairman to cost even more for Sears. The tv is working great, so this is uncalled for.
I will contact FTC if this is not resolved in a positive way.

Sony bravia kdl-32l4000

Purchased Sony Bravia TV about a year and a half ago. About 5 months ago black semicircles began appearing on screen, we now have two on right side and one in middle on lower part of screen. TV has never been moved and not subject to any temperature or light extremes. Sony was no help when contacted and offered no resolution. They informed me that warrantly is expired and Sony did not offer extended warranty on this model(I wonder why?). I supposed they would prefer to lose a customer for life than offer some solution. I have never owned a TV that went bad in such a short amount of time. Oh, wait, I have never owned a Sony TV before. Lesson learned, I will never purchase any Sony products in the future.

Ha don't worry your extended warranty wouldn't solve your problems either. We have a 52" Sony and it is going out. It is deemed non fixable and no longer in production. Paid 2200 for the TV and 435 for the warranty...now they are offering me 1500 for the warranty on the set. I bought it in 08, but there is not a pro rate stipulation in the warranty?
Oh well from all I read It sounds like I am lucky they have dropped the price of these types of TVs and I can replace it. with the 1500.

Sony unfixable tv

We feel the pain of others in the Sony-Qualxserv mess. We purchased a 36-inch Sony tube TV and had it installed in February 2006. In October 2009 the TV just shut itself off and would not come back on. Out of warranty of course, Sony told us to use their authorized repair service Qualxserv. After paying a $100 diagnostic fee the repair rep said it would be another $375 to do the repair, which we paid also upfront. The tech came out, the TV would work, but a couple of hours later it would shut itself off. Sometimes it would stay on for a couple of hours before turning off, sometimes for just a few minutes. We called the repair tech back again and again--everytime he came he would replace something or take something back to the shop and then replace it (the tech did try his best), but it was always with the same result--the TV would stay on for a little while then shut itself off. We called Sony to ask if this particular TV had a glitch, they told us that "it was not economical to repair this TV." But they offered us a Sony flatscreen at a "discount." We said that's fine, but shouldn't we get our repair money back since the TV was never satisfactorily repaired. The Sony rep became very indignant and said, "We didn't say it unrepairable, just not worth repairing. You have to the end of next week to decide on the flatscreen, we won't make this offer to you again!" So we decided to try the Qualxserv repair again. The repair tech continued to come out to our house every couple of weeks from October 2009 to April 2010. Then we thought, what if the problem is with the cable service? We called our cable provider who found no problem--the signal was strong and steady--we even hooked up one of our portable TVs to the cable location and it worked perfectly. So we called Qaulxserv again--this time we were told "We only have a record of coming out to your house ONCE in October 2009--if you want to talk to me any more you have to pay another $100 diagnostic fee and then the repair fee." (!) You can imagine how happy this made us. So we called Sony explained the situation and they said they would get back to us "that afternoon or the next day." Sony NEVER called us back, so when I called them back on three occasions their response was: "Well since we decided we weren't going to do anything for you we figured there was no point in calling you back. " Talk about having an apolectic fit! We then sent a letter and called Qualxserv and talked to a different rep, she at least was very understanding and was the only person who called me back. Unfortunately, she could only tell us that the higher powers at Qualxserv more or less said, "Too bad, they're over the 90-warranty from us, they have to start from square one with the diagnostic fee." So you can bet there will never be another Sony product in our house and we will steer clear of any product using Qualxserv as their "authorized repair service." Thanks! GS
