Sonny's BBQ review: District Manager over the Lynn Haven, Florida Store ( 3 comments)

I have eaten supper at this establishment numerous times. I have noticed that the district manager there is very rude and demeaning to the employees. This particular event happened today 12-1-15 about 3:30. I know he was the district manager because I know people who work there. He approached the employee at the drive through and asked her if she knew what in the world she was doing. She replied, "yes sir, I'm prepping the sauces for the drive through". He said, "No, are you suppose to be here?" She replied, "Yes sir, I'm being trained in the drive through today". Then he said, "What time are you suppose to be here?" She replied, 4:00. He pulls out his cell phone and tells her that it is only 3:40 and she needed to clock out, leave, and come back at 4:00. The biggest problem I and several others had with this is he was talking very loud and in a demeaning tone. This girl was actually working in the drive through. This was her third day on the job. I know this because I watched her leave in tears and went and sat in her car for 20 minutes. I went out there to console her and let her know that the problem is his not hers. This district manager is supposed to be in a professional field. I have taught for 10 years and I have never witnessed such a vulgar disrespect for employees. Needless to say, I can not return to that establishment because I'm afraid I would have to intervene next time. By the way, you might want to investigate the cleanliness of the kitchen. This particular trip and another time when my son went there made us both badly sick to our stomachs.
