To potential customers, Beware! Here is our story: We have spent hours and hours trying to get help. Never to get an actual person to help or solve anything. I have 12 scroll pages of conversation that goes nowhere. (Some included below)Makes for interesting ‘how to avoid actually helping the customer’ tactics. They must be well trained: Do not commit to anything make sure you ‘pass the buck’ back to the actual airline, or just mention ‘subject to terms and conditions’. To start with, we paid extra for baggage- but it does not show up on airline so we have to pay for suitcase again at airport, and go through last minute phone calls to be told WE had to pay it again then claim it back. Really? What service is that?
We then paid additional so we could change our ticket. ‘Plus Services’. This is useless- and ended up not being an option. We actually have to buy a new ticket. “Or can we get a refund? What will that be, in actual money.?” Cant tell us, until we actually cancel our flight! We now find out the chances of a refund are exceptionally slim! (A human at airline eventually said- track record of a refund from Kiwi. Is extremely slim.) so we would end up buying a whole new ticket and no refund! Kiwi says- they cannot help as its subject to the airline.But we paid extra to Kiwi. What a con! Asked Kiwi to help us fibd another flight back to london, any time, on any of 3 dates. Told me they could not find a flight! In 2 minutes i found a super flight, less travel time and great price via Cancun. Why can they not help? I have pages of conversations with carious operators on Messenger that go nowhere. Disgraceful. Sad. People are paying for services they do not receive. At least say- sorry! Or, can we upgrade you for the hassle you have gone through. That would be proactive or decent. But nothing. 8 people later .. 4 phone calls. When i challenged kiwi re no alternative flight option, they told me i left it too late. Within the 48 hr window. Nonsense- i had been trying with Kiwi for 4 days. I give up with Kiwi. We have had to buy more tickets $$ ticket get us back to use our old flight. Our friends also wont use Kiwi, had similar issues. The public must know the limitations of Kiwi and, in my opinion, its a money making scam. I will spread the word in multiple forums.
Recommendation: Do not use Kiwi if you may require changes
