Tony H returned to my home, the second service appointment this week, to install two replacement parts in my AC system. On the annual tuneup service, he identified two potential trouble spots in my older air conditioning unit and highlighted their condition at the beginning of the season, before trouble could occur in the later warm months. Consistent professional.

I have been a customer of Schneller Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning for the past 10 years. I have always been satisfied with the quality of their work. Good quality work can only be achieved by committed employees such as Brad B. He was polite and knowledgeable today. Brad arrived on time with his apprentice. The job was done in a timely manner. Yet another incredible service experience with Schneller and Knochelman. Its hard to say that spending thousands of dollars on a project that you never wanted to do is easy but the plumbing team at S&K makes it just that. Weve been using this company for our Heating, Air and Plumbing needs for a little over 3 years now and we have never had anything less than an exceptional experience.

I have used Schneller & Knockelmann for the past 12-1/2 year for the annual furnace and A/C preventive maintenance. The tech is always knowledgeable, efficient and very courteous. They also replaced the 25 year old A/C unit in my home 3 years ago. I had recently become a widow and they were absolutely the best people I can imagine to work with in that situation. I would highly recommend them to everyone!

My expectations were exceeded during my furnace tune-up for the winter of 2021. My furnace is running a lot more efficiently. The service technician was very professional and knowledgeable. He shared the condition of my system before and after the tune-up. I'm looking forward to lower heating bills as a result of all the adjustments made. Chris did an awesome job. We called S&K for a second opinion for some furnace work we were told we needed. Chris came out that same day. He spent 3 hours trouble shooting, working with other technicians, and educating us about potential issues. He was so patient and kept working until he found the issue! We have signed up for the yearly maintenance program and look forward to having technicians we can trust from S&K. Thank you Chris!

Service technician, Buddy, was at our home the past two days and we highly recommend him as well as the company overall. Day one was to complete a routine AC tune up where he identified the cause of a leak on our indoor unit. He promptly returned the following business day to fix the leak. Buddy is professional and once the repair was wrapped up he took the time to explain the cause, the work done to repair the problem and what to look out for in the future. Thanks for the great customer service!

Two plumbers arrived on time and began work on a list of several items including, install a new kitchen sink faucet which we supplied, removed and reinstalled first floor toilet with new stabilizing marble slab and added wooden reinforcements in the basement. In addition to the above the dripping master bath supply control (Moen Scald Guard) in the shower stall was repaired. We asked many questions about water supply issues and all were addressed in a professional and courteous manner. We would not hesitate to use their services again.

During AC annual maintenance several issue were reported. Estimate to repair all issues totaled over $2000.00.Called another company to look at system, did not tell them initially what first company had reported. After second company reported no findings l showed them estimate from Schneller Knockelman. They double checked all items and still found no issues.One item reported was a part that Schneller Knockelman stated was missing from the unit (a small cap). Second company agreed with this and replaced for free. Surprisingly this has never been reported before even though Schneller Knockelman has been servicing my unit for years.

My family and I recently moved to Ohio. The home we purchased needed upgrading of the HVAC system and water furnace (which we were aware of). I used Internet searches and reviews on several companies in our area and ultimately chose S&K based off what I read posted by other customers. Alex is an extremely knowledgeable plumber and did a fantastic job installing the water heater and the water softener system. S&K has been our company of choice for both this project and the HVAC system they upgraded not long ago. Based off our very positive experiences in working with them, we would recommend them to anyone needing plumbing/HVAC services.

I used the chat feature on their website to schedule the same day service, very easy to use. I received a call from their service department and received a text keeping me updated on the service call request. Andrew was the technician for the service as we were having issues with our 19 year old HVAC system that has worked great for 19 years. Andrew walked me through his testing, cleaned the AC unit, and was showing me the pressure regulator and noticed the pressure up and down during the service call. He shared with me the range it should be. He also showed me the inside coil units with the rust and we started to see the coils building ice as he expected before we observed the coils. Likely the leak. Andrew was very professional and proud to work for Schneller & Knochelman Plumbing, Heating & Air. I'm having Schneller & Knochelman Plumbing, Heating & Air back to quote on a replacement the system.

This is the BEST work crew we have had this year and we have had four for our home remodel. They came the same day that we called for repairs. Chris explained what was wrong and gave us options. He also told us about their maintenance plan. We decided not to repair our 9 year old unit. We were considering switching to gas instead of electric so Chris contacted someone from his comfort specialty team to meet with us. Adam was great! He thoroughly explained everything to us without any sales pressure. He is very knowledgeable about the products and took time to answer all of our concerns. He arranged installation the following day. They actually arrived when they said they would! We had expected 3 men for the job but this company works as a team. Great concept. Our new gas furnace and air conditioner were completely installed by 2:30 p.m.! We couldn't be happier! Great company.

I contacted this company to replace elements in my electric hot water heater. Looked online and saw the approximate cost for this type of repair is $200 - $300. I found Schneller Knochelman Plumbing online and they were able to come out the soonest. Unfortunately after they came, I opted to remain without hot water longer and find a different certified plumbing company since the quote I was given was $1250! He explained they use flat rate pricing and are a family owned business?! Not sure why that is justification for 5 times the cost! A couple days later, I had the work done by another certified plumbing company, also family owned, for just $250. Work was completed in a few minutes! I understand some companies are more expensive but this was outrageous! Sadly, I know many people that would have just gone ahead and paid the $1250 because they needed hot water and didn't know any better! I am posting this review hoping to make others aware and suggest doing your homework!

I had a leak in my AC unit. They came out and tried to find the leak, thought it was most likely in the unit itself. I replaced the unit ($10-15K). It still leaked and we were without AC again. The owner said he would need to bypass the system/leak and I said fine please do the work. He said I needed to wait until my neighbor decided whether she wanted work done on her house first before they could fix mine. I have no idea what my neighbor has to do with my house. I waited and waited and never heard from them. I emailed a few times and he just kept making excuses: still waiting on my neighbor, on vacation, will get back to next week - but he never did. My neighbor did get her service done but still no contact from the company. So, I emailed again and asked if they were still interested in the project. He said yes and would get back to me but never did. I called, was put on hold, told he was in a meeting and would get back to me. That was 3 weeks ago. All in all, I have been trying to schedule this service for 5 months and no response. And now I've given them tens of thousands of dollars and still have a leak in my AC. This is the worst customer service I've ever encountered.

No recommendation. I had a gas leak from forcing a stuck valve to shut off the pilot (gas furnace) and needed a new valve. I detailed the issue on the company's appointment web page. The charge near $100.00 to have the employee show and describe the issue and a diagnosis. The employee should have known the diagnosis from what was told in the comments section of the appointment web page, which should have alerted to what parts were needed, but the employee shows without the parts needed to make the repair and states he has to return to get parts at a cost to me of an additional $100.00. The employee repaired the issue in the most time consuming and unnecessary way to make the repair the costliest. Therefore, I cannot recommend this company. The employee states that they are a large company and his time is costly and the prices are the same as other comparable size companies. The bottom line, in my opinion, honesty and integrity is in question by a very large measure and the company's interests are only to enhance their profits. I needed a replacement part installed, but the employees are oblivious instructed it fix the problem in the most complicated method. The company may seem to you too big to fail, but I am hoping to inform the unsuspecting customers with this review of the unnecessary cost involved in doing business with this company.

Pete initially came out to look at my house on Friday. He walked through every area to see if there were insulation hot spots that should be addressed. He also explained the upgrades I'll receive with the new system. My old HVAC system was still running, but at 20-30 years old, who knows how much longer I had. He was respectful, helpful and extremely informative regarding next steps. On Monday, Josh and Tim came out to my house around 8:15-8:30 AM and were finished by 4:30 PM. They were quick on removing the equipment and installing the new HVAC system. They dug out an area and placed a nice block for the new A/C system to sit on. My past one sat in a garden bed and was a pain to clean. I know I won't have to deal with this on the new setup. The new furnace is a smaller footprint than the 20 year old system they removed. I've already noticed how much quieter it is, as well as how quickly it supplies hot air to the house. I don't have much square footage but there's a noticeable difference in efficiency. They even updated the thermostat with a NEST system and as much of a techie as I am, I love being able to change the temperature from anywhere in the house. I'm looking forward to remotely changing the house temperature once this stay-at-home order is over. The thermostat also provides a history of your energy usage, which over time, will help with the bills. Tim and Josh both went over the new equipment and Josh walked me through the NEST thermostat. All in all, I couldn't have asked for better service and I know my parents will be reaching out soon to discuss their plumbing. I would absolutely recommend this company and plan to use them for any future needs. Thank you Pete, Josh, Tim and the whole crew at Schneller & Knockelmann!

This could be a potential health issue since there is not a solid enclosed cement job covering the basement floor they jack hammered. I have used Knochelmann for 30 years and given them many good reviews. I have had a broken pipe in my sewer line fixed under my house which required jack hammering my basement floor. As far as I know the pipe is fixed correctly since the drain has not backed up, but there has been no heavy rains to test it. They told me not to walk on it for 3 days and not to put items on the cement for 3 weeks , so I did not go down for a couple of days to check on the job. The smell was also harsh down there and I have some allergies so I just waited 2 days to go down and look at it. When I went down the cement job covering the hole they made looked like someone just stuffed play doh in a hole . The seams were not covered with cement on the whole, cracks and un-cemented areas on the perimeter of the hole, chunks of gravel cements pile just dropped there. I have pictures. I have emailed pictures to them, called repeatedly, contacted via messenger the owner, hash tagged the pictures my Facebook page so he can see them on there if he hasn't viewed them from his company's emailed I sent them twice! No answer to my calls or any messages at all. They ignore me. I tried for over a week to get a return phone or acknowledgement about the cement job. I need help arbitrating this matter. I want my cement to be done neatly and not this mess they have left me with.
