I have scheduled a total of 5 pickups in about the last year. There has been a problem with all but one. The 1st was cancelled without reason or letting me know. The 2nd, after confirming the pickup scheduled for the next day, I received a call that morning that the pickup could not be made. They finally had the pickup made the next day. The 3rd, they called the same day. No pickup and one could not be scheduled for 2 months. They said priority was given to pickups scheduled the earliest. I had scheduled the pickup 6 weeks earlier.
This morning, February 4, 2026, I was told they would pickup between 8:30 am and 11:30 am. Each time, I have asked for a heads up call. No call, no pickup. I was just told that the driver decided my stuff was unsuitable even though there are clothes, shoes and appliances and other household items, many new with tags, all pristine.
The Salvation Army person with whom I spoke would not discuss the problem and hung up on me.
Whatever reputation they had for charity and reliability no longer exists.
Recommendation: Don't bother aggravating yourself
