Safe Home Security alarm service contract

My mother who is 70 years old with alhiemizer signed a contact with SHS. The man came over to check her system and got her to sign paper. They were taking 62 dollar a month out her bank account. I have power attorney over my mother since 2009. I called to cancel account refund her money. While waiting for a call from customer service. They sent her account to collection. Her account [protected] Harris cove Collier I'll tn 39017. She is in a fix income and barely making it. I have been calling for 4 months to get this resolve. They keep send me to voicemail and no one ever call me back. I read that government passed a law to file criminal charge for taking advantage of senior city. My next step will be to file criminal report against the company and technicians. So I can send some one to jail for taking advantage of mother sickly mother. If my sister didn't look at her checking account. We would not know she signed this contract.

Safe Home Security alarm service

My mother life in Puerto Rico, due to the tropical storm Maria my mother have no power. This company have been charging my mom for the alarm services the total of $ 204.00 so far. Call customer service and no help, my mother went to the bank to close her account that have been establish for a long time. My mom is 80 years old and I feel that this company take advantage of the people especially the older people my brother call last dicember and the never cancels the account and dint even credit her all the charges. And this year they still charge her $ 24.00 former 2018 and $ 45.00 for April 2018. The total charge since September 2017 and April 2018 is $ 204

I hope someone take care of this problem

Safe Home Security security /fire monitoring service

After my house almost burned down on March 29, 2010, I should have switched monitoring companies! They blamed the failure of the system to notify authorities and me on me cable TV company...

For my [protected] agreement/contract I stated that I did not want the service part of the contract, only the monitoring part and sent them the proper amount for the yearly monitoring in November 2016. The first of February they sent me 2 letters: the first dated 2/1 stated that they were sorry I had canceled my contract with them and wondered why. The second dated 2/3 stated that my account was past due 140.78 which was the cost of the service agreement. I called the designated person twice and got voicemail both times. I left the message that I did not want the service agreement, only the monitoring agreement. When I did not receive a bill for 2017-18 I called and found out they had canceled me as of 2/2017. Funny they never sent any refund for the 309.24 I had paid for the monitoring service.
I am still waiting for my refund. They refuse to pay any interest for the money they received but offered me no service for. In 2010 my house almost burned down and killed my2 dogs because their system failed.

Safe Home Security cancel service

I switched from ADT to Security One based on the reviews Security One had gathered from themselves. I had to move to Asia for work and had to cancel service. I called Security One was told that my contract ends on December 30, 2017. I was asked to write an official letter and they cannot take my cancellation by phone. I was willing to do that. I told them I was prepared to pay the penalty for early termination but they were not willing to stop the monitoring because the receptionist declared that they had to honor their contract! Is there a more illogical service than Security One. When I wanted to talk to the manager, she said they are busy with other callers and then hang up on me and refused to take my mobile number. Very very rude unreasonable service.

I want to cancel this security system number AC483597 effective 6/15/2018. You took advantage of a Disabled Elderly person, stating it was a one year contract (not five). We took the system down after two weeks and told you we wanted it removed. when you didn't come to remove it, we removed it ourselves. You ignore my requests to cancel.

Safe Home Security - Cancellation of service for failure to uphold their agreement.

I signed up with Safe Home Security more than a year ago. My service with Guardian had a few months to go so they waited till then to take over. The only thing they did was install 3 batteries and broke one sensor and didn't tell me that they did. I called them to repair my system because of two false alarms and they said I didn't have a monthly service...

Safe Home Security I was promise a home security camera system was told it was on back order never received camera system fraud and lies.

My name is Garry Hightower my account number is 29582 please cancel and my account and refund my money back to my credit card since December 1st 2016. My address is 5471 Chatham Woods Court Columbus Ga. 31907. I was promise a camera security system which was never delivered. I have been calling twice a month and each time I was told the camera where on back order. I was told a customer services agent name Brenda would call me back it was just a stall. Fraud and lies the system is constantly going off we have to use the remote to get out the house.

Safe Home Security cannot get out of agreement even if it has expired

The agreement is ridiculous I called to terminate service and they told me to send a letter 60 days prior to expiration I sent it and just because the letter arrived 55 day before expiration date they could not do anything and renewed without informing me about the agreement that was about to expire.
they told me that it was my responsibility to send the letter but where is their responsibility about letting the customer know about the status of the agreement?
In addition... their customer service is by far the worse there is.

I hope no one else has to go thru the BS I am going thru.

Safe Home Security I am complain about my security system

My wife [sharon k miller] had came home from the hospital.[ on some strong medication] a sales person for security system .[ james musella ] and pressured here into signing up for a security system . He was in my home for more than two hours .Finale. My wife said yes thank just to get him to leave . After a few days. She called the company to cancel the contract.And they told her she would have to get on the web sight to cancel it out . My wife quoted the law in fla . The spoke person repeated the same line, the she would have to get on there web site to cancel the contract

They are taking more money out of my checking account than they are supposed to. They keep claiming I signed up for another three years and I still have another year left of my original contract. They also raised the price. The system does not work. Goes off in the middle of the night and other times. They are taking advantage of old people. I asked for a copy of what I had signed and when it came, my name was type written on, anyone could have done that, I am sure they get bonus for us signing up,

Safe Home Security total lack of repair service

Windows were replaced at my residence. I notified safe home security that those zones need to be activated. After numerous calls, to them from me, customer service promises that some one will return my calls. No one returns calls from safe home services! After a month, I attempted to cancel their service when I was told I can't cancel. They take your money but provide no service.

Safe Home Security security system

I cancelled my contract on Nov. 4, 2016 and was told it would no longer be taken out of my checking account, but was in December. I received a letter asking me to contact them. I have tried 3 times and each time was on hold for 20-30 minutes and never talked with a live person.

I work and they do not come on Saturdays, twice I have taken time off from work and they have not showed up or called. The techinican thar came to install the system did not have a ID tag or anything, I had to ask him for an ID.

I would not recommend this company to ANYONE !

Safe Home Security safe home security contacts & information - there is no out of the contract!

I sent a notice to Safe Security to cancel my service due to the sale of my home in September 2016. I pay on an annual basis & never received a refund of the remaining service. Then in September 2016, I get another annual charge posted on my bank statement. I called Safe Security to advise them of the certified mail that was sent (and I have the signed receipt from the US MAIL showing that the had received the cancelation request and of course they claimed they never received my cancellation notice. I called again today and they said they left a voice mail (which was never received) asking me to send another cancellation notice. The service was good until you have to cancel and they try everything they can not to give a refund. Please do not use this company!

Their Customer Service will not take a cancelation over the phone. I stopped payment and now I am seeking a attorney for the illgetament service practices and also notified the State Of California, State Of Arizona's Attorney Generals, Industrial Commission's for boths states and also the BBB.

This company will tie you in to a five year contract make all types of offer and once you sign the paper work there is no out of this contract they will not even charge you an early termination fee, they told me they will just ruin my credit and report me to the credit bureau. So if you loose your job or if you find out that your child is ill and he requires expensive meds you can not break this contract. They are money hungry and once my contract expires in dec of 2016 will leave this company never giving them any of my business.

Safe Home Security forged documents within a company

I asked for a copy of every thing & was told i had it all-they said there was no contract at all and i could terminate at any time without any fees for early termination etc. Later when i tried to cancel they told me i was locked into a five year contract.-i never ever would have signed a five year contract-never. I told them i had nothing stating a five year contract and they said they did, yet they said earlier i had all documents-why did i not have that one? I thought back over and over in my mind and honestly think they forged or created this on their devices and copied and pasted my signature to it(If they do have it)-by the way, i have not seen it and they have not sent it to me as i requested. Still working on that! How can a company have such a scattered clientele that in no way knows one another, yet all have the same complaints and yet continue to abuse the system, scam so many, and no one know what to do to solve it. This is my mission-to help myself and others-put an end to companies that do this to honest people.-they said there was no contract!-how else would they have my signature on one because i did not sign one-why has someone not set up a sting operation on this company! So many complaints on one company-who do really think is wrong here-the company or all the others! I think it is quite clear -someone please do something or help me do something-i/others work hard for what we have-they should not be able to get away with this-forged documents within a company is a huge crime isn't it-lets put an end to this asap

now ive sent them a letter to cancel asap-they told me they got the letter but are refusing to send me a confirmation that they received it-she told me several times she sent it by email and i told her i did not
receive it-she said it takes a while. UMMMM No it really doesnt i said-email is pretty quick-she refused to wait on the phone with me till i received it-several days have past and i still am not receiving confirmation. This angers me because i see all the comments in the complaints about them extending the contract for 3 more yrs because they didnt get a hand written letter. Also she told me i owe a 100% because i was close to the end and refused to give me a bal/payoff to close the contract-the contract (which i should not even be tied to states 90% but she said no i owe 100. This is by far the craziest company ive ever dealt with. I can only hope each and every one of us complaining can get our money back! next action is contacting the secretary of state for CT. Apparently they have something in the works against them so maybe contact them also if you have a complaint too.

Safe Home Security security alarm

This company is the worst they are unprofessional, irresponsible, and rude. I don't know what monkey business they are running. Very disappointed at the product they offer. I assumed that by going with a smaller company I would save money. However, this was not the case I only saved a couple of bucks, but got stuck with bad service all around. Trying to speak to somebody that can actually help you is impossible. At first they are nice then you get to see their true colors. I wish I would have read and researched the company I was signing up for. Beware... Don't make the same mistake I did. You are best of going with a larger company.

Safe Home Security home security

Wow, there is even a Facebook page for people that have gotten scammed by this company! We should have read reviews before we did business with this company because they are horrible everywhere! It seems like the only reason they are still in business is because they lie to people! This company is unethical and should not be in business. My husband was excited when his step dad offered us a free system he 'won' to protect me and our two young kids on our 13 acres while my husband worked weeks at a time out of town. The company came and installed the system and had my husband sign a contract. The installer told my husband that the only way to get out of the contract is if we move. Yes, my husband should have asked more questions and should have read the contract in more detail, but we are trusting people and did not expect to get so screwed! Now, almost 2 years later we are selling our house and will be living with my mother in law while we look for another one. Safe Home Security says that we have to pay for the system for 5 years no matter what. Our only other option is to pay $1600 to have it cancelled. I own my own business and I would NEVER hold anyone accountable to pay for a service for an additional 3 years that they will not be using. I would suggest that no one does business with this company.

Safe Home Security unauthorized funds withdrawn from my bank "after" I made a payment over the phone.

I called Safe Home Security on 11/24/2015 to make a payment. Payment was due on 11/15/2015 so I was within their 10 day grace period so as not to be charged any late fee, which is $10.00. The amount I paid was $135.00. The actual amount owed was $134.97. Recently I have gotten into the habit of checking my online bank account frequently. It is 11/25/2015. This morning I noticed that the $135.00 had been processed. I then noticed another payment made to them for $5.00. All processing fees are included in the monthly or quarterly statements. I called them twice today and had to leave a message both times. No one called me back. Further, they are supposed to be a 24 hour service. I heard; "We are currently closed". I wish I had been checking all along to see if any other UNAUTHORIZED monies has been taken out. $5.00 or $50; It was unauthorized. I have read all the horror stories and complaints made against this company and can certainly relate to most of them. I also tried to cancel the contract because my husband was not getting to work and money was very tight. So I called them and explained that it was either " pay them, or not eat". All I heard was how sorry they were to hear about our bad luck, but payment would be expected or late fees would apply. I told them I understood that in breaking the contract, I would have to pay a % of the balance due. The agent said, no; you can break the contract but you will still have to pay every penny, which was around $1400.00 at that time. I still have one year to go. I know I have to send a 60 day notice of termination in order to keep SHS from extending the CONTRACT. However, I noticed that the address on the Internet and the address on the envelope are not the same. One says Cromwell Ct and one says Cronwell Ct. One of the complaints was that the letter of termination kept being returned to sender. I want to be well ahead of the game with this one. This company is obviously royally screwing many consumers and it's a shame. I will be sending a letter to the Attorney General as I understand he/she has initiated a law suit against SHS. Yes! Safe Home Security contract practices

Avoid SHS at all costs. If you are involved with them now, beware of their ethics (or lack of them). This company appears to have a specialty in misleading or scamming people (especially seniors) into contracts then making it virtually impossible to get out of. They have no scruples about reporting negative information to credit agencies and damaging credit ratings then harassing people for payment. We are seniors who made the mistake in April 2011 of switching from ADT to Safe Home Security. Things were satisfactory until October of 2014. In October 2014 a service call was made to repair what was a communication problem between the equipment and SHS. We were given a paper to sign that we were told was an acknowledgement of the service. We were never told, either in setting up the service or when the paperwork was presented that the “fine print” included a contract extension of 5 years. This was totally misleading and deceptive. We would never have agreed to that length of commitment with nothing in return and no right of rescission. In May 2014 we requested cancellation of our service verbally and were told all we had to do was send them a written request for cancellation. A letter was written to SHS and mailed that day. In addition we had two follow up phone calls with SHS regarding our cancellation request. The last conversation was with Chris Heath, Customer Service. He was adamant that he explained to us on October 8, 2014 that we would be responsible for a five-year contract. He further asserted that he had taped the call, would forward an audio file of the recording to us by email and in the interim he would discuss the termination request with the company owner. No audio file or follow up response from Mr. Heath or any representative of SHS was ever received. Since then, we have blocked our credit card payments to SHS. We have continued to receive monthly invoices from SHS. In July and September 2015 we have sent two additional letters to SHS regarding our reasons for cancellation and stopping payment. Our attorney has also sent a letter (September 2) to SHS. SHS has not responded to any of our letters or our attorney's letter. In September 2015 we noted that SHS had sent negative information to Equifax. This resulted in a drop in our credit rating from Excellent to Fair. We subsequently researched reviews on the Internet for Safe Home Security. The number of negative reviews on multiple sites is astounding and enormous. In March of 2014, the Attorney General in CT resolved a 2007 lawsuit against Safe Home Security for alleged violations resulting from the company's automatic renewal provisions in its contracts with customers, its billing practices, its debt collection practices, and alleged violations of the Home Improvement Solicitations Act and Home Improvement Act. On March 21, 2014 the court entered a stipulated judgment against the company that imposed permanent injunctions and required a $100, 000 payment to the State. It appears that this has not affected their approach as SHS continues with the same practices. This is a terrible company to have worked with. It makes us ashamed we ever got together with them. Appropriate resolution would be the cancellation of our service as of May 1, 2015, cessation of billing and restoration of previously undamaged credit ratings. We wonder if that will ever happen.

Safe Home Security Emergency service not available when needed

This is the second time I have had service problems with Safe Home Security and no one came out. This last situation was an emergency situation where the panel went completely dark, could not see anything and could not activate numbers or away or stay. I'm thinking the alarm was not activated. Once someone went in and out of door, alarm went out and we were unable to deactivate the alarm. Called Safe Home Security for Service Tech, told me they had no one to come out to service alarm. I had also called the day before which was New Year's Eve, Service Tech told me they would have someone call me the next day, I asked if office was open and the person said yes, I waited thinking someone would call not knowing there was a a real problem until someone actually opened the door around 5pm New Year's Day, having to get up to go to work at 4:00am

A Supervisor got on the phone, telling us to unplug the alarm, we kept telling him there was not a cord we could unplug and they insisted that there was and that he could not do anything for us. I informed him I would not get off the phone until this issues was resolved and he told me I was not cooperating.

Finally my son got on the phone and asked him if something could be done we could not go in and out of door with alarm going off, as I had informed him we had neighbors above me with a little kid three years old and that I had to leave for work at four am. He didn't seem to care cause there was nothing he could do.
He advised my son to unscrew several wires, which i do not have phone service, and as he was unscrewing the wires you could see fire popping. He also had me pulling out the battery trying to tell him what wires were leading to where and both of us sweating and my heart beating and both very nervous.
Finally got wires unscrewed and when I finally talked to someone, I refused to allow someone to come out because I', canceling service with Safe Home Security, they are now turning the situation back on me saying I'm refusing service. Yes, I am refusing service, who wouldn't?

While I was hospitalized in Tampa VA my caregiver called me from her cell phone to let me know all the AT&T lines were not working. My alarm system is connected to them through the phone lines of AT&T. On their end, my system should have dropped off the radar and went blank. As far as they knew the lines could have been cut maliciously, a break in, or my home burned down. Nothing happened. We received no calls on the cell phone, no police or fire were dispatched to investigate-nothing. It turns out AT&T had dug up the phone lines and they were off for 20 days. A new company representative came to my home because he said that GE had bought out SHS so I let him install a new system. So once again when they disconnected my SHS system that should have shown a problem at my house nothing happened. Now I have to begin the process to cancel my agreement with SHS.

I have been trying to get service and cancel my account. I sent a letter in August and emailed the company about six times. I tried to call and no one answered the phone. I met all the requirements for cancelling my contract but no one responds.

Entered three year service agreement in 1999 with annual renewals after term. Equipment no longer works but they will not repair or replace it as required under contract. They now want over $300 to replace. In the meantime I have to pay a monthly bill on a system that is not working.

They automaticly renewed my contract sent me papers after auto renewal. Wrote them and emailed and faxed to cancel, they refuse to cancell. The equipment is terrible I have called for service and had no fix to volume problems.

I had the security system installed 8 years ago with a different company. Safe Home Security took over the contract. The equipment is old and noisy. We decided to have a new company install a new system. Safe Home Security said we can only discontinue our contract in July - when originally purchased and had to continue to pay monitoring service until July - even though it is December. They also said if we refused to continue to pay they would just ruin our credit. The customer service rep became very irate and tried to end the phone call before I could even get the email address and proper information to formally cancel the contract. Very poor service all around!

Safe Home Security poor customer service/fraud

We set service up with these people 60 days ago and it was the worst decision we ever made. They wrote down the wrong access code and when we had a burglary they called the police on US not the burglars. They never seem to listen to anything we say. They argue with us every time we call. They still argue about the alarm code which we have written down on a signed contract and which they ignore. We sent them a registered letter canceling service - they ignored it and called it a customer service inquiry. We're suing them in Small Claims Court and in our Constitutionally-protected opinion they are less than trustworthy. You're better off letting the crooks ransack your house. At least they leave. Once these fools have their hooks into you, you can't get rid of them. RUN don't walk away from them or anyone connected to them.

Safe Home Security illegal practices

Has anyone else reported this company for going into a deceased person's bank accout with automatic withdrawal and withdrawing money to settle the "contract" they have, while doing so disregarding the estate probate law and priority payment of creditors, ie. furneral expenses, hospitals, doctors, etc. that are the top priority in payment from an estate?
