This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

I’m writing to express my deep frustration with Ryobi products and the lack of practical customer support. I purchased a Ryobi mower and battery system expecting reliability and convenience. Instead, I’ve experienced nothing but problems.
• Battery Overheating: The batteries consistently overheat, even with light use, causing the mower to shut down mid-job. This is not only inconvenient but renders the product nearly unusable during warmer months.
• Mower Malfunctions: The mower itself has stopped working multiple times. Despite following all maintenance guidelines, it simply refuses to operate reliably.
• Customer Service Nightmare: When I reached out for support, I was told to ship the mower back. Try finding a box that fits a mower—it’s nearly impossible and the shipping cost is outrageous, almost as much as the mower itself. To make matters worse, the nearest service center is over an hour away.
• Environmental Concerns: One of the reasons I chose Ryobi was to reduce my environmental footprint by using electric lawn equipment. However, the constant need to replace malfunctioning batteries and potentially discard large equipment due to impractical repair options completely undermines that goal. Encouraging customers to ship entire mowers for service is not only costly but environmentally irresponsible.
I chose Ryobi for its reputation and accessibility, but this experience has been nothing short of a letdown. I urge Ryobi to reconsider how they handle warranty claims, product quality, and their environmental impact. Until then, I cannot recommend their products to anyone.

Recommendation: Don't Bother
