We purchased our timeshare a few years ago. We were promised the world and they have delivered on nothing. We were told we could use the plan at any outside resort, they had books and drawings and all kinds of stuff to lure us in. Promised us trips to Disney World and having a room with giraffes looking in for a small fee of $250 additional to book outside of their hotels. Everything was available and included all inclusive fees...not true.

NONE of this was accurate and ALL of it was a lie. We called them on it right away. We got home and tired to figure out how to book rooms, use the program all to no avail.

We paid over $20,000 and they are now calling for the maintenance fees. I have told them repeatedly if they can't provide what we were promised we were not paying those fees.

How do I get this cancelled and walk away? They liars in Cancun are terrible, they say anything to get our money and then are completely unwilling to answer questions and help.

We want to cancel, how do I make that happen?

Desired outcome: Terminate the contract. We should get a refund of the unused amount due to their unfair ethics and practices.

You should reach out to a lawyer who specializes in timeshare disputes. They can guide you on how to cancel your contract and avoid further payments. Additionally, you could try contacting a timeshare exit company, but make sure to do thorough research to avoid scams. Document all your interactions and promises made by Royal Holiday Vacation Club to strengthen your case. Good luck!
