My wife and I are celebrating our 50th anniversary as well as our 70th birthdays this year and decided to go on a cruise with Royal Caribbean on the Anthem of the Seas with all of our kids and grandkids. When we booked the trip in December I selected the mystery suite option and selected 5 PM for dining along with the kids. I bit on a room upgrade and was successful to a Grand Suite with Large Balcony - 1 Bedroom. Apparently when it changed my room we all got kicked to the 8:30 PM dining slot which is not acceptable. I called in and was told that the earlier times were all booked and I could elect to use the dine any time option from 6:30 tp 9:30. With a group of 9 it is difficult at best to get a table large enough with the my dining option. It is baffling why the corporate policy appears to provide less service as you pay more for your cruise. I called in within a day of getting the upgrade notice but was told that the earlier time slots were all full and there was nothing that could be done.
