Hired RAH (Iowa City, IA) mid July this year to provide weekend help (2 hrs. a day Saturday and Sunday) for my 93 year-old father. Care staff overall were good, but had issues with showing up late (30-60 min.) a couple of times, and no-shows on 3 different occasions, That’s a problem, but the real issue is Fred Lima, who did father’s intake / scheduled staff / oversaw care personnel, etc, and apparently is the "main man" for the Coralville franchise. This past Saturday (Sept. 20 2025) care person was a no-show. Texted Fred to let him know person never showed up; an hour later left him a voice message wanting to know why this was still happening, and wanting a call back. After texts back and forth over the next 2 hrs, Fred then called me and dropped every F-Bomb at me he could come up with. Trying to answer a question he’d asked, I was told to “Shut the f*** up, I’m talking”, was told that he (Fred) “did me a f***ing favor” getting help in for my father and the hours he was billing, then said “We’re done with you and your f***ng dad, so f*** you!” and he hung up. RAH is still in possession of an entry fob to my dad’s apartment complex, which I texted Fred afterward he was to return by 9AM Monday (9-22-25), or this would become a police matter. Fred’s actions and response are well beyond non-professional, and don’t belong in the care industry at all. I’ll be contacting the Right at Home main office Monday morning regarding Fred’s behavior, and filing a complaint on the RAH Coralville franchise with the Iowa State licensing body overseeing in-home care companies Monday. Coralville police will also be contacted on recovery of the entry fob if it’s not back to me, also Monday morning
Recommendation: Find another care company.
