Recently I booked a room at your hotel on West Broad St, Richmond, Va. for my son. I have done this twice in the past month, once for a week once 2 days. He got there 15 minutes early before check in, so he sat on the couch. The security guard told him he couldn't sit there, for! 5 minutes! and he was not nice about it. My son stood up, walked outside and waited in the heat. The front desk clerk was made aware, and he told my son he could leave if he didn't like it. Is this the normal treatment? I thought I was putting him at a place that he could stay and be treated with respect. The front desk guy, he was Indian, I do not know his name, but he worked on the days my son stayed, Sunday October 6th through the 8th. I would like to be reimbursed for this horrible stay. He also locked his room key and asked for a new key and the front desk guy charged him for it! I have stayed all over in all different hotels and NEVER have I been charged for an extra key. I would like to be reimbursed for the negative stay, or I won't book another day from Red Roof Inn.

We stayed at Red Roof Inn in Woburn, MA 7/22 - 7/30/25. I did send an email to the regional manager but to date he has not responded.
1.). I asked if there was a pool on premise. Desk clerk said yes but it was booked all week. There wasn’t a pool. Why lie?
2.) Fire alarm went off and we needed to evacuate. Smoke in electrical room.
3.). Every time I walked into this room I became full blown congested.
4.) No fan in bathroom.
5. Night before departure I noticed mold over shower.
6. Vent in bathroom had never been cleaned.
7. Morning of departure BOTH elevators were out of order. We had to carry heavy suitcases down 5 flights! My 82 yo husband had had valve replacement surgery prior to our stay.
7. Drapes on window were stuck to the window not allowing us to close them without leaving the backing stuck to the window!
Again, no response from regional manager! Desk clerk gave me his business card before checking out!
