I have called twice to have my deceased brother's internet service. They refused to do this both times. The first time they told me I needed a pin to cancel and they would mail it to me. I never received it. The 2nd time I called they asked me to verify the installation date. If my brother was still alive, I am sure he wouldn't be able to answer the question either. I was then told I would have to answer "3 high risk questions". I was able to answer 2 questions correctly, but when I was asked how my brother receives his billing statement via email or postal mail, I gave them the wrong answer, so again I was unable to cancel his service. My brother and I lead separate lives and I don't know every detail related to his financial matters. I have his death certificate, dob, mailing address, ssn, and I have been appointed by the court as his his personal representative for his estate. I find this whole experience unacceptable and just plain heartless. I am getting the probate lawyers involved in this matter.
