because you didnt finish all your payments... which I know carecredit is a pain in the rear end cause they increase interest rates once they grant your loan, you probably got hit with the attorney and court cost as well since you were found at fault. sorry honey but nothing is fair when it comes to borrowing money these days.
Its not a loan . It is a payday advance disquised as a loan. when you do one all the interest you pay is alot like rent . it goes to nothing or very little to say the least. unless you are paying massive lump sums such as 4 times your interest payment you will never get out of a loan like this. You did the smart thing by paying it off in 4 months. Consider it a lesson learned and next time go to a bank or family member.

BEST BET. LOOK AT YOUR CONTRACT. YOU WOULD HAVE RECEIVED ONE BY EMAIL MORE THAN LIKELY OR IF YOU CAN GET AHOLD OF THE COMPANY FIND OUT WHAT THE PAYOFF IS. PAY THE FULL LOAN ( PRINCIPAL) AND 1 INTEREST PAYMENT IN FULL. Cause you didnt keep up your mortgage, went into foreclosure and you are being asked to probably pay lawyer fees, tranfer fees, ect.

You are getting your refund but as you point out with todays technology you can put a stop payment or attempt to say it was fraud after you get the cash back for the item you brought back in . Sadly, businesses have to protect themselves these days from the most crooked of the crooked because this is how people think today. Technology is a good thing but is also a bad thing. Ever think someone who knew nothing about it was searching the warehouse to find them and that is why it took time? Impatient people piss me off.
And why would you go to photo to pick up baby items and if your so concerned then unregister and go to target. Their warehouse is just as large.
Then I suggest with all you know about the law, You provide some proof and be willing to pay for breaking your lease, attorney & collection fees. Even if the judge finds them guilty of wrongful collection practices, they are both civil matters and would be 2 seperate cases, so you can still be held liable for your lease. As for your friend, it is up to the apartment management who they sue. Just because they are not calling him, doesnt mean they dont have the right to call or sue you.
