Yes they can refuse payment, they can contact you at work and they can garnish your paycheck. You signed a contract to make a payment on a certain date. After being late 1 day they can contact you in anyway, shape or fashion that the law allows and that is many ways.

#1 if someone wrote your number down as a contact for them then they arent doing anything wrong. I work in the finance industry and have lots of people come get a loan and they have to leave me 5 references to contact them .
#2 you only have to be one day late to be sued.
Your wrong pawn shop. I am in the title business and what it is called is a title pawn. they are pawning the title to the vehicle not the vehicle itself. it is simple collateral on the loan to be collected if the pawn is not paid.
If there was a mistake simply taking your current bank statement with the charges showing should get you your money back...it make take a few days as most of these places have to get ahold of a home office to refund the account...
HOWEVER! if you or anyone on your checking account wrote a check for a payday advance, the company has the right to take that money out of your checking account anytime they deem fit ( after 14 days of course) . you do not have to have any sort of notice and no state law requires that.

I just don't understand why it is that wal-mart employees have no concept of customer service or that without the customers who come to their stores then they would not have a job.
I can not tell you how many times I have wanted to ask a question and been interupted by an employee or been walking down the isle only to have a stocker with a large cart of frieght damn near run me down to get where they are going.
I know you have a job to do and even if you are a simple stocker your very first priority should be the customers.

I was smart enough to read the fine print and know I have to file taxes on my winnings/losses. I know the occasional game is going to have an error connecting ... its to be expected as with any other site. If they closed your account, odds are you are the cheater or they cant confirm your account or address. . Plus I love the fact that I signed up at sendearnings.com first so I get some of that money back that I pay in to play.

actually depending on what kind of debt it is they can hold the next of kin responsible.
you need to find out what the law is in your state for collecting on a descesed account.
wait first you said you never purchased anything from there then you said you would never purchase from them again so which is it?
and by law a collector can call as many times in 1 day as needed to get ahold of the person in question as long as it is not before 7 am and after 10 pm monday through saturday. That is NATIONWIDE.
often if you read the fine print you agree to allow the company access to contact you when and where they need too. Not saying it is good practice but this is just another sneaky way around the fdcpa

Often enough these are temp agencies collecting resumes for their files or soliciting websites collecting your info to sell. Try your local employment agencies or state run agencies.
Be careful as to what you are sending these folks .. i.e. ss #, dl# and more... they can get a cc or bank account online with minimal info and usually a resume or job application is enough.

Unfortunatley if you read the fine details of your contract you will find that this is how most payday loan companies work. you borrow 300.00 and pay back anywhere from 17.5% to 30% and you pay nothing but interest till YOU THE CONSUMER advises otherwise.

often enough it is not the businesses job to contact family after an accident. It is the police, hospital, emergency services.
I cant say it is right but unfourtunatley the law works on the employers side rather than the employee. However if you can prove that overworking your husband is what caused the incident and he has a medical note on file then you may have a lawsuit on your hands. I would definately make an appt with a personal injury atty.

no it was charged. not pre authorized ... and i do not mind the pre authorization at most hotels if they are just honest and upfront... but why tell me they wont and then do it anyway...?
My Spouse and the other 60 + co-workers who were unaware they would be charged 40.00 each for nothing. I would say that is pretty reliable proof.
when you are purposely overcharged for an item to see if the company can get away with it ... that is a scam.
