I had a very frustrating and concerning experience with Poshmark’s verification process. I was initially told that I was verified after uploading my license and allowing a charge to my credit card. Shortly after, the system stated that I was notverified.
When I attempted to complete the verification process again, my credit card was charged multiple times for large amounts — $300, $500, and $1,500. My bank flagged these charges as fraudulent and confirmed that my address had already been verified, so there should not have been an issue.
Instead of resolving the problem, I was asked to provide a different credit card. I was then instructed to open a Chime account and deposit $500 into it in order to continue verification.
After all of this, I am still not verified and unable to sell products on the platform.
This process was confusing, stressful, and felt unsafe. There was no clear explanation, no resolution, and no protection against repeated charges. I expected a far more secure and transparent verification process from a company of this size.
As a result of actions on your end, my bank has canceled my credit card due to fraudulent charges. I now have to update all of my recurring payments, which has caused significant disruption. Despite spending hours attempting to complete verification, uploading my license multiple times, and being charged repeatedly, I am still not verified.
There were multiple charges to my credit card in the hundreds of dollars across two separate verification attempts, all for the purpose of being able to sell items on your platform. In addition, I was instructed to “add money to a Chime account” or “top off my credit card.” I am extremely concerned by this language and these requests, as they are inappropriate and do not align with standard or secure verification practices.
This situation is completely unacceptable. I do not know whether this is due to system failures or untrustworthy handling on your end, but what occurred today should never happen to a user. I need immediate clarification, resolution, and confirmation that this matter is being taken seriously.
