My wife and I purchased a2017 Polaris Ranger 900XP EPS.
At 2800 miles we had a major banging / clunking coming from the drive train that turned out to be a safety issue with main drive shaft, and had to be replaced. Now, because we love Polaris products, we decided to trade 2017 in for a brand new 2027 model. Now the 2017 has 6200 miles and the drive shaft is broken again costing us $700 dollars in trade-in value that we really NEED to be reimbursed for. As a certified master mechanic, I know this is either an engineering flaw or a product quality / manufacturing issue.
How can you assist us with monetary loss that we should NOT have absorbed ?
Claimed loss: A $700 dollar trade-in loss of value and I now believe the reason the dealer INSISTED on checking that shaft. The original trade value the dealer offered was fair.
Desired outcome: We would like a guarantee on this new 2027 Polaris Ranger 1000 cabbed Vin # 4XARRM998V8041966 / Model: R27RRM99A4 for no drive train issues. I believe a fair offer would be a minimum of a two to three year no cost extended warranty.
