One month ago I finalized a transaction of a game account. At the beginning everything was good, the middleman seemed to be... well... responsive enough, but once the payment from the buyer towards PlayerUp was made it was impossible to reach the Middleman.
So as you can imagine the buyer payed to PlayerUp the money, I have given the account to the buyer and he was kind enough to hand over his bank statement showing that he did payed.
I tried every peaceful method to reach them (email, telegram, opening tickets, responding multiple times to my cashout ticket), but none of them seemed to get the attention of my Middleman or PlayerUp staff. I received only one response at some point on telegram and they were saying that they will start processing the payments once the page is up. Indeed, at that point the page was having issues, but right now everything seems to work normal. Of course, I asked again on telegram about the payment process and as you can guess, they did not answer.
I also made some bad reviews and after that they suspended my cashout ticket stating that I have "You have open issues offsite."
Their behavior is like someone who is experienced in scamming and takes advantage of peoples' trust.
I have attached screens in order to see for yourselves and I suggest to look for other methods of selling/buying digital goods because it is clear that these guys are not to be trusted.
Claimed loss: 309$
Desired outcome: They say they have a fee, ok. I want 261$
They do now pay their users. They take the money and then they ignore you. At the beginning everything is good until the buyers send the money, after that only silence. If you make a bad review they will tell you to remove it in order to process the cashout and if you remove it there will be again silence!
Also most of the 5* review here are fake accounts made by PlayerUp in order to attract trustful customers whom to scam.
At the reviews they will reply back saying that the issue has been resolved, or will send you to their telegram chat, but there they will ignore you if you have financial claims.
Basically, you were warned. If you like to be scammed then you should use PlayerUp
The issue was not resolved as per PlayerUp statement. The buyer managed somehow to request his money back (Not from PlayerUp as they do not give money bank) and I was left hanging with my goods that I wanted to sell. Luckily I took precautions and I did not lost my digital goods, but still I did not managed to sell them.
This complaint has been resolved automatically due to user's inactivity.
