I have been requesting my tax return for 2019 for many years. Tax defenders keeps telling me that they are in contact with the IRS and my return is not ready. I paid for that tax return many years ago, and I want it. Furthermore they sent me returns for 2017 and 18 with no State returns or vouchers for payment. I received only the two Federal returns. Also one of them has a large stock sale with no cost basis, that I do not recognize for that year. A document they sent me said the sale was facilitated by Chase.However when I contacted Chase, I was told they had no record of this sale.They have not followed up on that, as I requested. Furthermore for the past week I have been trying to call Platinum tax advisors and all of their four phone numbers which I have are "temporarily unavailable." I'm wondering if this firm has closed. Emails I sent to them have gone unanswered as well.

I recently hired PlatinumTaxDefenders to help me with my taxes. I was hoping that they would be able to help me save some money and get my finances in order. Unfortunately, my experience with them was not very positive.

First of all, I had to pay them a fee of $1000 just to get started. I thought this was a bit steep, but I figured it was worth it if they could help me save some money in the long run. However, after they finished working on my taxes, I was disappointed to find out that my tax bill was still the same as before - $5,165.44.

The only thing that PlatinumTaxDefenders did for me was set up a monthly payment plan with the IRS. They charged me an additional $100 per month for this service, which I could have done myself for free. I was frustrated that I had spent so much money on their services and didn't see any real results.

Overall, I would not recommend PlatinumTaxDefenders to anyone looking for help with their taxes. While they may be able to help some people, I did not find their services to be worth the high cost. If you're looking for help with your taxes, I would suggest doing your research and finding a company that has a better track record of success.

I had a really tough time with PlatinumTaxDefenders. At first, they didn't seem to understand that my tax issue was with Delaware, not Denver. They kept passing my case around to different agents, and then the two agents who were working on it just up and left. I was left with a resolution letter that said I owed $16,000 more than I actually did. It was a total mess.

To make matters worse, they never even bothered to look at my tax returns to try to figure out what was going on. I had to take some time off work to deal with the issue myself. Eventually, I was able to get it resolved, but it was a huge headache.

The only thing that PlatinumTaxDefenders offered me was a 100% guarantee, but that didn't really mean much to me after all the trouble they caused. And to top it all off, they claimed that their phone system was backed up and that they couldn't provide me with any letters or documentation to prove that they had been working on my case. It was a total mess, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
