ZapMyTax ain't worth it, no real savings and they send invoices without any explanation. Total scam!

Horrible company. They scamming everyone. I never resined to do my taxes in 2017, but they claim to have my signature. Sure, anyone can scan it from prior year. Stay away from them.

This biz is a total scam. They don't tell you nothin' and when ya call, they say they log all calls but then they ain't got no logs of the calls. They don't do nothin', so don't use 'em!

This biz is a total scam. They said they saved me money on my school tax, but I got the statement and it was more than double what they said. They're definitely doing something shady. The ComplaintsBoard.com needs to check them out and shut them down. I wouldn't give them any stars, but they make you click a star to leave a review.

ZapMyTax (ZMT) might be in trouble for allegedly scamming me and others by double billing, overcharging, and adding compound interest, penalties, and "late charges" without warning. When I called to discuss the charges, the person who answered said they couldn't help and someone would call me back, but that never happened. While the amount may not be worth going to court for one person, if others were affected, ZMT's profits could be significant. A class action lawsuit could result in treble damages for ZMT and its owner, according to Walker v. Sheldon (10 N.Y.2d 401). The ComplaintsBoard.com should investigate ZMT's billing practices before giving them an A- rating.

ZapMyTax messed up big time and cost me a potential tax reduction. I told them to cancel my application with Nassau County two weeks after signing up with them, but they failed to do so even after I followed up with them. They assured me that everything was taken care of and that I could proceed with another agency, but two months later I found out that they didn't withdraw the paperwork like they said they did. After many phone calls and pressure, they finally withdrew themselves as my representative, but it was too late. I complained and was told that they were short-handed and the woman who handles tax reduction issues was sick. But I have an email saying everything was taken care of months earlier, so they're just lying and making excuses. Now I've been told that I lost out on a reduction because Nassau County received two duplicate applications from two separate places. Thanks to ZapMyTax's incompetence, I missed my chance to grieve the tax hike. I don't recommend their services because of this issue.

I got a bill from ZapMyTax on May 6 for $713.27. It had some unpaid stuff and penalties. I never got a bill from them before. I called them to fix it and they said I didn't pay before. I said I never got a bill. I offered to pay the $513.17 that they said I owed for my school and town taxes. I checked my email and phone and never saw a bill from them. I got one letter to renew for next year. I paid with my credit card and MasterCard is helping me with the penalties. They haven't said anything yet, we're still fighting.

ZapMyTax gave me a bill on May 25 for $1,541.13. It was late and had extra fees and interest. But I never got the first bill by email or mail. This happened last year too, and other people said the same thing in their reviews. I asked for the first bill by email, and they sent me a PDF. But the PDF said it was changed on July 21, which is after the email date of March 13. When I told them about this, they sent me a different PDF that was a different size and had different stuff in it. This makes me think they never sent the first bill, or they changed it on purpose to cheat their customers. I attached both PDFs.

I joined ZapMyTax in '18 (I think). They sent me bills, but it was hard to know when I'd get the rebate. I paid $2084.48 on 9/11 with AMEX. I said I didn't want their service anymore. They say I owe $1225.96. I paid $2084, so I don't want their service anymore. They have my signature from '19, but I don't remember signing it. I'm mad and they're sending me to a collection agency. They're not honest and I said I didn't want their service again. They have my signature, but it's for years I already paid. They're scamming people. I don't owe them for 2021 and 2022. I emailed them, but they say I still owe them. I don't owe them because I didn't sign up. They need to zero out the balances. Thanks.
