Planet Fitness review: Overcharging minors

Hi, my 17year old daughter went to Planet Fitness and signed up with some High School friends. Planet Fitness obviously do not require a Parent/Guardians approval or signature. However, her purpose was to sign up for the special they have of $10 enrollment and $10 monthly membership. But when she got there they talked her into signing up for an upgraded membership of $25.00 a month with the $39.00 Annual Fee. So, my daughter is a Senior in High School and is now focused on Senior activities that she has not been to the gym since she signed up. She went to cancel her membership after paying the $39.00 Annual Fee at the beginning of this month and then the $25.00 monthly fee two weeks later, but now they want her to pay a BUYOUT Fee of $58.00 just to officially cancel her membership! They never once asked for a parent or guardians approval! Yet, they take advantage of these teenagers just as long as the teens have their own bank account. My daughter takes home about $150.00 every two weeks from her afterschool job, and Planet Fitness is basically stealing her money from her. Teens don't know about cancellation fees or annual fees. Yet this gym decides that they don't care just as long as you sign up, you deal with all these fees! My daughters account is negative because of these membership fees. She had no adult there to talk it over with to help her understand what she was walking into. But they took advantage of her! That is just wrong!
