PhotobookAmerica photobook

I just received my Google photo book and am quite disappointed. Although I missed some small flaws that I should have retouched in Picasso, Google printed several blurry images that I would have thought to have been found in a quality inspections. I am an avid photographer and traveler and have had books made up by other companies before, but have never seen one with so little quality control. Could we work together to redo it and make it something Google and I could be proud of?

I just received my Google photo book and am quite disappointed. PhotobookAmerica incompetent employee

I had worked on a photo project for four days, but there was a price discrepancy from the groupon and I contacted the live chat to ask how to fix it. He told me to change the binding from Lie flat to standard. I asked him if it would affect the project and he said it should be fine and to go ahead. The entire project was lost. After I tell him that he goes oh you should duplicate it first. Then I asked him if there's technical support to revert it back to the last saved book, and he told me no. Now I've wasted the last four days and have to spend a ton more hours to fix a mistake that never should have happened.

PhotobookAmerica 4x4 instacards set 2 (47 cards)

I prepaid for 6 of the instacards set 2 that have 47 cards in them. The first two I opened and started working with have less than 47 one was 44 the other was 34 cards. I used two other sets and they both had 47 like they should have.

I have been contacting the chat customer service (who seem to have the same scripted answers - many of which do not necessary apply to what I was talking about) for well over a week now. I have "talked" to at least three different people. I have been told the issue has gone to supervisor, technical team, and manager. CSR people say it is on a high priority but they are Christmas gifts I have to get ready to send out.

I am asked for the order number each time - I have multitudinous (not a real word) times stated that there is not an order number as I'm not going shortchange myself by sending it in without the right number of cards. I have been told it will be fixed, they will get it to me by Christmas and I will be compensated for my trouble. I have asked if there is any way I can send these two erroneous sets in and be credited with one enough to make up for the cards I am missing and the shipping that would send those in as I am already paying the shipping on the short changed sets. I get pat answers from everyone - the technical team is working on it to make it right for you. I don't need those cards now as I used the next sets to make up for the missing ones.

I did all of these the very beginning of December as my December is very full and I knew I wouldn't have time later. Now if you "fix" it and put those blank cads back in the sets I don't have the things I needed to put in them... they are in the ones I followed up with, submitted and actually already have received!

I have never had problems with Photobook America before but I will be leary about recommending it again.

There was a day that one set of Instacards were being sold. I tried to purchase them but it said the promotion was complete. I screen shotted it to show it still had 5 hours to go and later 3 hours to go and would not let me purchase them.

I called customer service and they wanted the screen shots so I sent them to them and they said they would "take it to their supervisor" - the mysterious supervisor who I have asked to be transferred to but nothing has happened.

Guess I lost out on that too - if you're program can't fulfill their own special - don't put them up on your website.

When you changed your computer to a new one - you did not put all of the prepurchased items in the new files of customers. Thank heavens I kept emails that had the voucher numbers so that I could do your work for you and give you the ones that should have been in my account.

As it was I lost one hard cover bigger sized book as i didn't have the email for that one.

I think you should have done more testing on the system crossover before you went live.

I called the number that there is for customer service and was on hold for 25 minutes. Then a recorded voice said press # to leave a message or * to be transferred to the operator. I thought I might as well talk to a real person since I've waited this long. I pressed the star key and it said voice mail for this extension has been deactivated (or some such word) and hung up after me. I have tried calling back numerous times now and the line is busy. I guess I definitely am not the only person having major problems with your products.

PhotobookAmerica done with them

Their services are overpriced. You have to pay almost for everything you do. A lot of additional and hidden fees.
I would understand prices like that if they did their job well, but it's not true.
Moreover, I am sure they can afford to collaborate with much better delivery service than what they use now. Many orders were never delivered and hence many customers just went away not willing to deal with them again. I am one of them.

PhotobookAmerica photobookamerica is the worst!

Do not order from www.photobookamerica.com, that's my only advice. These people don't really care what you ordered and they can even remove your chosen pictures because they decided it that way. And that's exactly what happened to me. I made an order for a photo book and when I received it I was shocked. It was nothing like I made it and two photos were missing. I contacted them and they said that they made some corrections! They claimed that two missing photos didn't look good and they deleted them. Are you joking or what? I paid you and how my photo book looks is not your business. Photobookamerica tell me, don't you have other thing to do? Well, I see that they have a lot of free time to redo their customers photo books. I used a lot of photo services and must say that Photobookamerica is the worst!

PhotobookAmerica i'm very disappointed with this website!

Ordered three books from this website called PhotobookAmerica and received only two!
I paid for all three and when I found out that one was missing I contacted them immediately. Their rep was not very polite, he tried to assure me I paid for only two books. So I sent him all the confirmations I had and he finally agreed. Their rep said they'll send the missing book as soon as possible. Thought that everything was finally over but it wasn't! Waited patiently but there was no sign of my order and when I emailed they did not reply. I'm very disappointed with this website!

PhotobookAmerica groupon for lay flat album

Photobook America aka Photobook Worldwide is a scam. I ordered the album off of Groupon and followed the redemption process per Groupon. When I was finally ready to place my order with Photobook I doubled checked everything (sizing of album, page #s, etc.) and made sure I used my redemption code to ensure I was going to receive the correct item. I paid the extra $12.99 in shipping and received my product in less than a week. When I opened my package I realized it was a standard photobook, not a layflat album. I contacted Photo book immediately on 9/1/16, provided the order # and they closed the case on 9/3/16 with no comments. I reopened the case on 9/6/16 and they finally responded claiming I did not order the correct item and I would have to pay 20% of the original product cost to get the correct item I ordered. This is unacceptable and far from good customer service. They should be providing me with what I ordered and double checking all orders with vouchers. It does not make sense why I would order a layflat album with full page spreads for my wedding and then last minute decide to do a normal book album with the same layouts.

PhotobookAmerica photobook

Ordered a photobook from www.photobookamerica.com and when it arrived I was shocked to find out that it was made incorrectly! Ordered a flat book but it was the standard shape one. It looked nice, but I had my reasons why I ordered flat one. I wanted them to fix everything so I contacted customer service. They tried to assure me to keep the book and said that I'll have to pay extra for them to redo the book. Terrible service! In the end I decided to keep it because fixing would cost quite a lot. I'm very disappointed with this company.

Don't use Phonebook America if you use a Mac or if your photos are in iPhone Photos or DropBox! After 4 weeks of working on a 40-page photobook, almost ready to order, the entire project crashed! Customer Support said 'yes, they know there's a problem with Mac users, iPhone photos, and Dropbox' and 'they're working on it'. No, the disclosure or warning is NOT in any of their marketing and is NOT in the tutorials. This was my first time - and last time - using Phonebook America. Now I'm having to deal with Groupon for a refund.

PhotobookAmerica not user friendly

the web site is very unsure friendly. Hard to sign in, hard to use, you cannot talk to anyone nor do they respond to emails. paid for 5 books and it was such a pain in the ### i only finished 2 and gave up. tried to get a refund and no response. ABSOLUTLY WORSTE experience of online purchasing!

PhotobookAmerica never delivered product

Other people on the web claim this company is really located in China. People have tried to find a physical address in the US, but have not been able to do so. I just read a page where a woman lost $250 of wedding photos with them. I purchased a Groupon. Groupon knows their history...lots of customer complaints all over Yelp ...but they will not admit it. Their groupon promised 100% satisfaction or your money back. All I finally got after three months of waiting is my groupon money back. The company still owes me $33 and will not deliver product, respond to many emails, and Groupon who claims to be able to contact them, will not get my money back. I will never do business with either business again and filed a BBB complaint against Groupon, since they are the only one with an address. Paypal noted that they also could not get my money back from this entity (not in this country). Beware Groupon, they do not screen these businesses and then don't make it right themselves. And, Photobook America is not in America from what I have read on the web. They never sent me my product (3 months later), and never respond to e-mails. You will never see your money again!

I ordered numerous items from this company. Saw that they charged shipping for each one, but thought "oh well" I got such a good deal, no biggie. Until my first item came! I made a calendar, and it came with the wrong year! Why would I order a 2015 calendar in December of 2015?! Plus it was a combination of 2015 AND 2016 with no rhyme or reason! I am so upset. No response from anyone. I can't get through on the phone, no one will respond to my email. I also paid fro a voucher upfront and NEVER revived it! These were all Christmas gifts and now Im totally screwed. Absolutly ridiculous and super shady! DON"T USE THIS COMPANY!

I recently purchased a deal for calendars through Groupon. I have not yet received my order, but I just got my tracking information. I found it funny that I ordered from "Photobook America" and it's shipping from Malaysia. I did have some issues with their software, and when I tried to use my voucher I ran into some issues where it kept saying it was invalid. I tried contacing their customer support. It took 2 or 3 days to finally hear back from them, and by the time I waited to hear back from them I had already gotten the voucher to work (I basically kept trying each day until it worked). Of all of the companies I've ordered calendars and books through, Shutterfly has by far been the best one. Groupon has really turned to garbage. There are only a handful of deals/vendors that are any good on that site.

The worst experience I have ever had with a company is with Photobook America. I spent weeks scanning photos, uploading images, and creating a photo book as a present for my grandparents. When I submitted the photo book The website said "Congratulations, your photo book is error free. Production time is 2-3 days." 20 days later I still had not received my photo book in the mail, so I checked the website. It said that my order was still in production. I sent an email to Photobook America's customer service explaining the situation. They did not reply to my email, so I call the next day. I called their customer service number at least 15 times and every time a recording would play saying "all circuits are unavailable, please call again." The next day I sent a second email, and called the customer service number at least 15 times again. I still wasn't able to speak to a customer service representative. The day after that, same story. Today I was finally able to get through to a customer service representative (my photo book has been in production for 26 days at this point). She informed me that some of the photos in my photo book were too large and that I would have to go through each picture in the photo book and check the size. She claims that an email was sent to me informing me of this, but I never received it. I checked my spam mailbox and even looked at other email accounts to see if it was there- the email doesn't exist. I have never been so frustrated and dissatisfied with a company. This photo book is a special gift for my grandparents that I spent weeks making. There are over 100 photos in the photo book and I am supposed to go through and look at the size of each one even though when I submitted the photo book it said there were no errors. Also, I still haven't received replies for any of the emails I sent. Never use PhotoBook America! If you use Photobook America and actually have an issue it could take a week of trying to finally get through to customer service. Use a company competent enough to handle situations.

I've just had an incredibly unsatisfactory experience with Photobook America. I ordered 3 Groupons for a large 40 page photobook. I went to the website and created my books. First, I was unhappy that I could not order the book in glossy print for cover or pages, but moved ahead because the Groupon price was very reasonable. I wanted all 3 sent to the same address but was charged $13.99 for EACH book. When I checked tracking and realized the books were coming from Malasia--my heart sank as I knew most books and other print material from Asia were of sub-par print quality. Upon receipt, the front cover text of all three books was too high, almost off the cover. (The cover text was shown on the "this is how your book will look" preview as at least 1" below the edge of the cover.) One book had some kind of solution spatters all across the top of 3 pages. I submitted a support ticket (and received confirmation thereof), via email, complete with photos and explanations, for all 3 books. I heard nothing for one week. After one week, I received a very short and poorly worded response to one of my tickets, informing me that I had placed the text too high when using the software. I responded with a screen-shot of the project preview of the cover with the text in the correct position. They responded that the preview did not show an accurate reflection of the book! Unreal! Further, support completely ignored my mention of the two other support tickets to which I'd had no response. So I called the long-distance support number and spoke to a very helpful woman who escalated my problem to a manager. When the manager responded by phone the next day, I was told the preview could not be counted on to give an accurate image of the book, that it was my fault I'd placed the text too high, so they would not reprint the books. But...they would give me an 80% discount if I wanted the books reprinted. Of course I declined, saying that a preview is WORTHLESS unless it reflects exactly how your book will look--that is how you spot errors. Further, all other companies from whom I had ordered photobooks guarantee their books will be exactly as the preview you see on their website. On the book with the spatter issue, the manager promised to send me an email so that I could both change the text and get a reprint free of charge. I'm not holding my breath... And even if the reprinted book materializes with text in the correct spot and no other printing issues...still, i would never deal with this company again. Buyer beware!

I went round and round with the BBB. The company (Photobook America) ignored the BBB in NY. Groupon would not contact the company to get my money back. They took postage and handing - over $30 and delivered nothing. I think it is a scam. I have seen posts on yelp too and here. I will file a complaint with the attorney general's office in each state. At least there will be record of this criminal activity.

PhotobookAmerica big disappointment

I bought a groupon for photobook america and was disappointed to find that 1)if I decide to change types/size of books I have to start all over, and 2) that there is a 40% off sale, so with my groupon I've saved a whole $4. I've not done this before and didn't realize that the definitions for page numbers and 'multiple' is different than in real life. I actually put together 2 books, but they will only let me use the voucher for one. Big disappointment. I've written to groupon to complain.

This clowns delivered my books and left them in the rain without any plastic covering so the are ruined. I have tried for days to contact them via email and phone and the NEVER answer or get back to me. They are a rip off.

Too bad there is not a Zero stars - this company sucks just plain sucks - the NEVER answer the phone - Never call you back and the service is non existent. These clowns left my books in the rain with NO rain proof cover.

I bought a photobook from them using a groupon 3 months ago. I still had to pay them $33 in addition to the $55 groupon, and they did not want to honor the groupon. Three months later, no book, and they will not refund my money or respond to multiple e-mails. I have spent 2 weeks trying to get my groupon money back. I will never see the $33. Buyer beware!
