Unauthorized Credit Card Charges
I talked to Pardons Canada on the phone last week November 2, 2023, to get information about how to start the Pardon process. They asked for my credit card information, and I asked very clearly if I would be charged, and they said NO I would not, it was just to get it on file to get things ready should I choose to use their services. The next day I noticed a charge to our credit card. I immediately e-mailed them to say I did not authorize that charge, and they replied yesterday by sending me a refund form. I filled it out the same day, and today they said they would not be refunding because by giving the credit card information I had authorized a deposit of $250. There was no discussion of deposit on the phone, they straight up lied to me when they said I would not be charged. I did not authorize payment or hire their services - I was only seeking information so that I could make an informed decision. I have been scammed. Do not trust this company.
Claimed loss: $250
Desired outcome: Refund
Pardon of record
I have been waiting over three years and had to pay additional fees. Andrew Tea, as mentioned by any others, told me a courthouse is backlogged and due to 100+ other customers ahead of me they cannot access my files. The problem is I just called that courthouse today and they sent my file right to Pardons Canada on my behalf. It was one call for me to do their work. They have been ignoring me for years, refuse to refund money. They will not answer questions, will not return emails. I had to cc them in an email to my old municipality to get them to respond to my issue they are ignoring. They won't provide any useful information regarding my file.
Desired outcome: Refund or immediate closing of file
Service not rendered for that which was charged

Dear Sir/Madam:
Re: Attention – Owner / c/o Office Manager
Please find that today, April 4, 2022, I file a formal complaint against the way I was treated by your company staff (s) member (s) and to also file a complaint regarding my file of more than 13 years ago approximately that I paid for and understood it was a file destruction. Today I found out it was just a pardon. I contacted Ottawa and the male staff told me to contact your office because for some reason a file destruction application was not submitted, bot a pardon for same.
It turned out that my sealed file, was given to a police officer of 42 division when I attended my settlement conference at civil court for my case against the division for my original false arrest. My file was already sealed years prior. I contacted the Parole Board and the male staff told me, that is not possible” because your file may only be unsealed for a serious criminal case but not for a Civil case and further, no staff of a civil case should have access to it, in fact, I am the Plaintiff of a class action that came up for compensation on March 22, 2022.
Now, I called today and got a male staff at your office who did not give his name, but I hope that your calls are recorded. He continuously cut me off instead of listening to what I called for and what my case was and what the Parole Board staff told me, he decided as if he knows what I am about to say.
Next, I went on the chat, I got Aubrey and was not helpful because your question and answers does not include what my questions are and there is no tab for *Other as a choice so I can write in my question. She ended the chat as soon as I ask to have the manager or owner contact me so I can escalate my issue.
Further, I went back into chat after she ended the chat with no help as your automated q and a does not help my case. I then got Jacob, he did the same think, q and a does not address my issue and he also ended the chat when I ask to get on to the office manager or the owner, not a nice way to treat your customer that you took hundreds of dollars from and botched my file destruction case that never happened.
With that said, I took screen shots and printed them and sent it off to the Parole Board with my query for them.
The male staff there told me to try and get on to the office manager to open an escalation and each time I was either hung up on or had a chat ended once I ask for the manager. Well, this need to be escalated and as long as I paid for a service that I did not receive and in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 2001, I have the right to escalate for resolution and next steps.
I file this complaint as if under oath, chat and recorded call exists.
At this time, I request in writing for the office manager or the owner to contact me verbally via telephone so I can know what they did in the process I paid for and why it’s a pardon rather than file destruction. The Parole Board told me that they process based on what application your office submitted and they were unable to instruct me on getting a copy of my application submitted to them by you.
Regards.

Criminal Pardon
I've been trying to get a criminal pardon with Pardons Canada for over 2 years now. This has been a horrible experience dealing with these people.
I've been lied to on numerous occasions. I mailed documents in last year to be processed, after months of waiting. I contacted them and they claimed they never received them. So I agreed to fill them out again only to get the run around for weeks after. Now they informed me they did have them and they would forward them to the Parole Board. I then received a letter months later in January of 2022 stating the fees had changed with the Government and I was entitled to a refund. The letter stated if I wanted to continue with my pardon to simply mail in a $50 money order and it would be sent off to the Parole Board. So I immediately sent them the money order hoping to get this issue finally dealt with. Months went by and I hadn't heard anything. Finally received a follow up email stating if I wanted to continue with my pardon I needed to mail in the money or use a credit card. So I contacted them once again, only to hear once again that they had not received my letter. I don't know what to do at this point. I honestly can't deal with this company any longer. I've paid around $700 so far and I just want my pardon finalized. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone going forward.
Desired outcome: Pardon finalized
They will continue to lie to you, they will hang up the phone on your, they will end your chat and try to get you to use questions and answers robot which does not address your specific question. They will refuse to forward a request to the office manager or the owner of the business and give you the run around after they take your money, what I know, you can contact the Parole Board with your file number, I sincerely believe it can take up to four years though, speak directly with the Parole Board in Ottawa, they will take your call.

December 29, 2021 Client # 502583 On Nov 28th - I received a call from their office. The manager hung up on me! This company lies to you! Then they tell you to wait 18 months to 2 years saying it takes a long time to get the process going, then when you call back finally they tell you it's too late now they didn't receive the documents they needed and they've closed your account. Now, you'll need to pay over 1, 000 to just re-open your account. It's a scam! Awful call your credit card company and get your money back.

I have paid too much money to Pardons Canada for them not to continue processing my Request for a Pardon.
Also, be informed that I was married last month, ergo my last name is now Katherine JMA Underhill-Way.

Unbelievable. I cannot believe the impunity and how this [censored] is still walking around free. The man has stolen from people and I’m addition has personal information. I have to contact the RCMP about this as soon as possible. They need to do an investigation on this guy. I will forward all these complaints to them as well.
Waiver services
It has been a year since i first paid what i thought was 250$ for initial service that included waiver application. then received receipt for total taken from credit card of 890$. Upon reading finer print does not include application fee.
Now 4-6 months waiting for court documents i go get them myself and send them. After two weeks and no word i find out they were never received. So i resend via fax. told need to be reviewed now its been 4 weeks. getting them documents that i have procured myself has taken a month and they say we are busy don't call us we'll call you. How they can even call themselves Pardons Canada is beyond me and since removing all the money off my cc right away i really have no recourse. I have asked many times that they send all my personal documents back to me but they said no. Im concerned at the level of personal data that is at risk. If i don't just wait and hope or move on then really nothing i can do.
It doesn't sound right that Pardons Canada would not return the RCMP file.
If you wish to stop your file we can do so and return the original paperwork.

The same Pardons Canada that doesn't even reply to calls or emails. Its always one excuse after another. Been a month since the court sent the REQUIRED documents to pardons Canada. Still waiting for the next Step. Andrew Tea (which now I am wondering if that is even his real name) doesn't even reply to emails or updates. I only wish I would have read these comments before getting involved with these scammers.

paid for services NOT rendered by F.P.C. in Feb. 2011, no status updates when requested, done everything required of me to the letter, such as having prints taken for RCMP, also background check fees for Toronto Police and a second set of prints for the process promised from FPC ONLY TO BE COMPLETELY LEFT IN THE DARK by this so called business.I was promised, in the companys ad. there was a 100 percent money back guarantee...They wont respond to any communication and its painfully obvious these people, namely Carla Lopes and Alex Keeling are really something other than what they say they are...I NEED HELP to go after these fraudsters...who do I turn to?

Misleading... Liars!!!
Misleading... Liars! Andrew t is a straight out liar... Record all calls to him because he will lie to you. The fee you pay pardons Canada will cover them filling out your application and sending it in... You will have to run around and get and pay for additionally all the info required to do the application. Do not sign anything or initial... Read what they want you to sign. What they are doing is criminal... Any company that wants $250 just to send you info is questionable. If you've made the mistake in giving them your credit card number... Send back all info you received and contact them requesting a refund... No services were rendered so a refund shouldn't be a problem. Call your credit card company immediately and let them know what's happened... They will get your refund for you after Andrew tea hangs up on you! Report this company to your credit card company... His rates will go up and they will eventually... With enough consumer complaints suspend his privileges. Pardons Canada representative in Toronto... Andrew tea is an out right liar!
Buyer beware. Pardons Canada and Andrew T are not to be trusted.

I have a mountain of information against this company and they are in fact a fraudulent company only serving themselves. They Do absolutely nothing for the money. Ever. All they do is make you collect the documents which is what they are paid to do but don't then just send it off. They do absolutely nothing. I will be going there to make sure I have the right people. I want them all to know this is the end of the line.
Hi Avi, would you be willing to share some of the information you have? I'm a law student and I'm interested in starting a project on this. If so, could you email - tasha.liang@mail.mcgill.ca? Thank you.
Sure what do you need? Going after them specifically is not the right fight. There are many companies like this out there. So you will have to take this to the federal government. They’re exploiting Canadians and have been for some time. All business similar to their own, that are supposed to provide a service, do not and therefore are illegal. How the federal government has allowed this to happen for so long is beyond me even after dozens if not hundreds of people have come forward about this.
I wish I would have read this blog before I too go scammed into send my money into Pardons Canada. I too have dealt with Andrew. Same excuses over and over gain. Said he would follow up...he never does. Then his team have the nerve to suggest I go to the courthouse in person to speed things up. The courthouse in question is an 8 hour roundtrip. Like many, my pardon was simple. There was 2 charges. One simple assault and 1 failure to appear. Same case, same time period. There is ONE courthouse to deal with. ONE. That was 30 YEARS ago. Now been 8 months and still no closer. I have lost out on 3 job opportunities because of my record. For those of you reading this, if you are planning to work for the Federal Government...forget it. I paid the premium so I would get better service and their "Support Letter". All the letter says is that you applied for a pardon. That does NOT mean Jack SH^& to anyone considering hiring you. You need the full pardon. As soon as I am done this ranting, I am filing a complaint with the BBB and my local Member of Parliament and my Provincial Deputy. Believe me people, getting a pardon if you do on your own should take NO LONGER than 6 months. Yes it can be tedious and even frustrating and complicated. There are blogs to assist. Do it on your own. DO NOT SEND A SINGLE PENNY TO PARDONS CANADA.
I wish i would of read this before i sent them $ 1173 in full payment! What they told me on the phone And the " service" they say they offer on the website, is different from the documents they send you... PLEASE READ THE FINE PRINT AND HIGHLIGHTED WORDS there is extra cost... I haven't signed anything yet, but sent them several emails with my concerns And haven't got an answer back yet, i have also asked for A full refund, because before they got my money, they kept sending me emails, after they got my money, they wont even answer a simple question ... I've called my credit card to cancel payment, but they can't yet and are telling me, i should try to resolve it by contacting pardon Canada as if i haven't yet! My problem right now is that i live in Europe...
All this because of a simple assault that Happen 25 years ago
Pardons Canada took my money, continued to find reasons to ask for more money and didn't come through with their promises. Indeed, why doesn't the RCMP, Federal or Provincial do something to stop this.
I guess we should be calling lawyers to get our money back but then again at a time when Canadian people need help Pardons Canada surely knows we can't afford too, especially when they've already taken what little money you've got left.
Pardons Canada is one of the biggest disappointments and dis-loyalties to the Canadian public who are seeking to better theirs and others lives.
You can apply for your own pardon on line and DIY (you'll get farther) or get help from a local lawyer or paralegal anywhere except PC.
Do not randomly send off your money to this place.
Why doesn't the RCMP, Federal or Provincial do something to stop this obvious scam? Also, why don't the Banks warn their customers of this fraudulent scam?
I trusted Global Entry Professionals. They haven't answered my calls or emails since my last payment in Oct. of 18.
Can someone explain to me why that cie is still in activity?
DO NOT USE THESE CLOWNS! I'm just off the phone with them after years of being screwed around. They now claim they have no record of my payment (from about 5 or 6 years ago) and that I need to pay a fee of $350 to have it re-activated! What a joke. I rec'd all of their documents years ago and filled everything out, went and got fingerprints done, mailed to them, etc. EVERYTHING they asked. They then told me it takes a min of 18 months and to call back then. I waited 2 years before calling and have gotten the run around since! I've recently been told that I need to deal with the local police here to have anything waived from my record and that these types of companies are not legit. This is coming from local law enforcement! DO NOT waste your time and money. You have a better shot at getting a piece of a Nigerian Prince's $3, 000, 000, 000.00 inheritance!
They told me that my case was going to be solved in a matter a 1-2 years. They took all the payments and never heard a beep from them ever. When I called for and update, they said that they can't do anything at all and no refund. They are the worse scammers ever. Especially that Andrew guy. He hung up the phone on me and then when I tried calling back, they right away kept hanging up on me. And never replied to my emails... have a heart, I am a single mom who barely is able to makes ends meat. This is what you do... non-profit? Yeah right, it's more like only profit and no work...
don't make the same mistake I did.Ask at the US border what you need if anything to cross the border. These guys told me I needed a waiver when I didn't.They will tell you anything to get your cash and yes they do lie.
This is NOT true.

Really. Then how come you don't fix my case or refund me my money
And be a man and answer your phone when clients call you. Sorry, I mean your victims...
Old article but nonetheless... pardons canada is a bunch of liberal cucks... I applied... they turned me down for a pardon because of language that I had used... that's it... some offended libtard was offended by my words... they didn't give a crap about the fight on the street... I had a talk with police... no charges.. nothing... but got refused because some liberal was offended. I was punished for committing no crime... I was punished for giving my point of view... I committed no crime... but was punished anyways... these people represent society... they say the words I used arent normally something somone would say... I ask these members to tell me what the hell is normal nowadays? its just a money scam... im not paying the bribe money again... and after reexamining things... I dont want to be part of your very sick society... you people who say they represent society can keep your society far away from me or I will make it stay far away. got that pardons canada?... good.
[censored] you respond. I should have done my homework before I game you over $1000 for your "service".
I have been in touch with my lawyer and someone should be in touch soon about your business practices.
rip off
I applied for a urgent pardon/waiver package over 15mths ago. Guess what still nothing, this company is a joke they don't advise you on the status of your file, they have every excuse in the books, they don't do there jobs as promise period. Heck they even lost my fingerprints for my US waiver. Alex Keeling was my case worker waiver shouldn't take more then 6 mth max these idiots still never got it for me.I applied June 17 2011 it's now Nov 2012, you do the math do you really want these guys working on important files on your behalf. Ho yeah by the way most of the case workers are not license so trying to make a complaint to the upper law society is a no go. Trust me do yourself a favour look up a paralegal and pay them to do the paper work on your behalf.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
its should be re name into "shame Canada" the way its being - "done"
the main thing. and it actually goes to all federal institutions, there is NOT one, credible, competent, efficient, and - pardon me (...) honest place, agency, biuro who would actually do the thing, or - that's the thing intentionally placed behind all this?, first of all,
long, complicated, COSTLY, painful nightmare at some "end" of which you get to the- so hoped for and anticipated- outcome- you dont qualify, your application is rejected, but only after that painstaking, horrid path you went through and ALL fees you paid...
its actually a scam played on unlucky unfortunates who are trying to obtain that - "pardon"...
the main thing is there is NOT one, efficient, competent, and - pardon me(...) honest place, agency, biuro who would do this, hence -
its an absolute SHAME, I wonder how those people actually can live with themselves and what they do...guess paying "gods" and making other lives into a nightmare, constant as it seems, while getting nicely paid all along is extremely - tempting,

Pardons Canada, Federal Pardons Canada, Scam after they take your money on the premise that they will get your pardon. Nope you have to send more money.
Andrew "Tanenbaum", obviously a fake name suckered me in for his "Express Pardon" which I was told would take 6 months max. Upon paying to entire fee upfront I was immediately bait and switched as he sent me to his college right away on Yonge street to do some bs process for an additional fee.
From then on it has been one bad experience after another. His "secretary" emailed be a bunch of time asking for more documents, me to write letters, basically the run around while they sit on their fat-non-profit ###.
Over 3 years later and my file is still not complete.
Never hire Pardons Canada (www.pardons.org) They are a scam and a FRAUD.
The facebook group is now called "COMPLAINTS AGAINST FEDERAL PARDONS CANADA''
FederalPardons.ca is absolutely a scam...looks like we all found out at the same time. They are thieves that just knowingly rip you off. Once they have your money they treat customers like dirt under their feet. When I complained they attacked me and threatened law suits against me or even to screw up my pardon application. How's that for professional. Alex Keeling and Carla Lopez are the real crooks here. I think if everyone here reported them to the RCMP you would think they would at least investigate if the amount of accusations was high enough. I know that's what I'm going to do. And where is this facebook page mentioned above by Robert Geller ...couldn't find it...did they complain to have it taken down? If so we could all start a page or better yet how about a class action suit? Lawyers love those...we wouldn't get any money but they would have to forfeit their company and go bankrupt.. They need as much bad publicity as we can give them!
I contacted Federal Pardons Canada in August 2012. I paid them $500+ and they are not responding to me after many emails and phone calls. I've now read thousands of complaints about them. They are a scam, they will not do anything for you other then take your money and run!
We applied in march 2012 for both a pardon and a waiver, we did check out any reviews they had before we went with them and found only 1 bad, I only wish then people would have said something sooner.
We started phoning them about 4 months ago just for the reason we have heard nothing from them and was told it should be done for around christmas. I have left messages time and time again and no response,
The icing on the cake was this week when I called the government office to get progress report and they don't have it, I was told they open the mail everyday and put the applicants name and bithdate in the system when they get it just so they can tell us people yes its here and being worked on or its not.
This company
Has taken our money, has ruined the chance for me to apply for that job that I can't have a record, also the chance for another missed holiday with the family into the states.
This company is scaming all of us we need to go to marketplace ...
I hired these people on January 13, 2012 for a Pardon for $395.50. It was a Friday the 13th should've known it would be an unlucky day. I find out months later that I am now not elegible for a Pardon for another 2 years! They wont give me back my money they said the file is done but cant be submitted for 2yrs because of some law changes! That doesnt do me any good I need to know what I can do to get my money back! Im hoping someone can help me with thjis I think I was scammed. How can I join this facebook group, I am not very tech savvy. I need some advise please HELP ME GET MY MONEY BACK!
