How responsive is Panera Bread's customer service?

Very poor 🤒
We don't know much about how Panera Bread handles customer complaints outside ComplaintsBoard, but what we see here, on our website, is quite disappointing. We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. But until that happens, we ask reviewers to be cautious when dealing with Panera Bread and using their services, and to carefully read the experiences of other customers on ComplaintsBoard, because who is warned is armed, you know! 💪

Panera Bread service

I went to Panera in 3rd st, Phoenix location. Any time I go there something goes wrong. I order Lentil Quinoa Bowl with Chicken, three times they forgot the chicken. Last night after waiting for 20 minutes, I asked where was my food, they said they give it to somebody else. I took my refund and left.
Manager was standing there didn't do anything about it, didn't even told to me.
This is the worse Panera I'd ever been.
My order number was [protected]

Panera Bread service issues at brixton square location

The Brixton Square location in Oklahoma City regularly is out of product and tonight I was stuck in the drive through for 30 minutes. They had me trapped with no exit. When I finally got to the window. They said nothing. I asked them what's was wrong since I was trapped for 30 minutes. They apologized and said they were busy. He offered me a free cookie. Unacceptable. I will never return there again. That will help hem be less busy.

Panera Bread muffins

I purchased 4 muffins from the New Port Richey/Little rd location in Florida on 12/4/18. I ordered 2 of the cranberry/orange and brought them to a friends house. She cut them up and served them so I could not return the product, but She gave me 3 blueberry muffins. This is not what I ordered.
I have been a good customer and stopped in for those particular muffins.

I called the location phone and no-one answers the phone.

Panera Bread panera bread old forest road lynchburg va

I would like to say how disappointed I was with my drive thru order on Old Forest Road Lynchburg, Va y Nov 29th at 6:45pm. I ordered a whole sandwich. They tell me they are out of that bread (panini) and ask to use a different kind. I agreed! Then I ordered 3 bowls of soup. Again out of baguettes. Gave me dinner rolls. The sandwich is approx 10 dollars was about half the size it is normally on the different bread. No discount was offered. Very disappointed! Panera food is not cheap and quality is expected and why are they running out of bread at 6:45 pm. This is not first time they have been out of things and have made mistakes on my order and I had to drive back to fix it. Not sure if there is a problem with this certain location.
Then again today I went back because my children love the soup. Dec 4th around 8pm. Ordered a favorite panini sandwich chipotle avocado chicken. Got home and no avocados on the sandwich. This is the 4th time there has been something wrong with order. Maybe this store needs to be looked at closely.

Panera Bread service

The staff and cooks behind the counter play vulgar music with cuss words and obscenities while the normal generic music plays in the background.

As if 2 sources of music wasn't annoying enough, I saw families get up to leave because of the cuss words and graphic music that the employees were playing at 6pm and 7pm on a weekday. Unacceptable.

When one family tried to complain, the person behind the counter said that she didn't speak English, so the issue was unresolved. It was extremely unprofessional and annoying, leading me to wonder where the hell a manager was - nowhere to be found.

Panera Bread pick 2 steak and white cheddar w/ cream of broccoli soup

My daughters and I arrived at the NEW HYDE PARK NY location, placed our order after spending $52.83 for the three of us, my 8 year old asked me to purchase an extra piece of bread, the woman serving us " rudely said go to the register an paid for it while holding my entire order now I had to go back on line to purchase a tiny piece of bread fo $0.79, now my complaint it's not that I had to pay, is how rude their employees are. After paying for the tiny piece of bread I proceeded to pick up my food order the lady literally tossed the piece of bread into the plate as if she was upset that we requested the bread. Now the real complaint is that I order Steak sandwich because of the way is advertised, but it wasn't totally what I got.

Panera Bread dirty facilities

On Friday evening, 11/23/18, at about 6:00 P.M., we ate at the Panera Bread in Martinsburg, WV. We have noticed before that tables aren't being cleaned and wiped up when customers have left. My husband is 6 foot 4 inches tall and noticed that there is lots of dust on top of dividers between the in store pickup and seating. When going to get drinks, the area was so sticky and filthy along with no lids for cups. It was not that busy that someone couldn't have been out stocking items, wiping tables, etc. It is a shame to see this store, for no older than it is, fall into such a sad state of dirt and not being kept up. Locally, our health department publishes health department inspection scores and it would not look good on the store's record to be published for multiple infractions. I am sharing this as I believe if you don't know there are problems, you can't fix them. If you decide not to do anything, at least, I can say I made you aware and my responsibility is gone.

Panera Bread seasonal green salads

My Name is Vishal, I went to Panera Bread after being so tired from shopping in a mall & a long journey from West Chester (PA) There I ordered for Seasonal green salad( as I am a completely vegetarian) & there I got served with green chicken salad, I took a bite & I shocked & that made my whole day messy, I talked to the manger name Jackie, she given me just refund, ( as it is the value of my religion & rituals being vegetarian) but they didn't have any concern about that. Again I ordered, salad so there was not more vegetables only ( onion, tomatoes, avacado & green leafs) .( No cucumber, No kale, wedge tomatoes etc) which I had ordered.sinece I was in mall & came all the way from Philadelphia ( west Chester) so I was so much hungry, but it's very bad that I didn't got the order which I ordered after being so tired. It's really very bad, awful experience! I had attached the photo which I ordered & which I got served with, I was not having card, & there was so big line, so I find to click the photo online & show to the cashier, for the convinience of both.

Panera Bread to go order

My office ordered a large order for pick up from the Panera in Vestal, NY. The man on the phone was nice, but asked me for a credit card over the phone. (We have ordered plenty of times from the office and have NEVER been asked for a payment up front.) We have someone picking up the food on his way to the office for a meeting. I would have gladly given my card information, had it been on hold to make sure we were picking up the order-- but I was informed that they would be CHARGING my card with whatever the total of the order was. They didn't have the chicken and wild rice soup (that was advertised online, ) so we had to alter half of our order. When I asked to call back with the credit card information, I was given an attitude, and told that "they cant take any other to go orders until I call them back with my credit card information." (acting like our large order was such a burden.) What I should have done was cancelled my order and ordered from somewhere else. Instead, I unprofessionally called the man holding our meeting and asked for his credit card information. When I called back, I sat on hold for 10 minutes, and finally pressed the "speak to a manager option." She was rude as well, and my office will not be ordering for another meeting again. We will take our business elsewhere since it was "such a burden."

A big order isn't a burden, but it seems like you really are. I'm sure Panera employees are dancing in the street because they don't have to deal with you anymore.

Panera Bread unethical behavior

I was at the Panera bread located at 1551 Us Highway 1, Edison, NJ 08837 the staff was extremely loud and was giggling around making jokes and flirting with each other for almost 2 hours of my visit, my neighboring customers looks over and says they are so loud and I realized that this is bothering not only me but other guests as well after seeing no change for a long time, I decided to speak to the manager, I was not acknowledged properly by the manager I asked him if he was the manager he responded to me by saying yes and I told him that his staff was extremely loud and he said okay, he approached the staff and told them that I had complained and one of the girl from the staff responded that she doesn't care and continued with their nonsense. As soon as the manager went back into the office, they were at it again with their unprofessional behavior. I m a regular here at this location, this was extremely disrespectful. Never coming back again. Hope this issue gets to the corporate, people come here to have a peaceful dinner not to listen to the staff talk scream about their private lives and joke around like there is no tomorrow. Even if they want to talk about whatever they want to talk about it shouldn't be loud enough to bother the customers sitting in the store.

Panera Bread delivery / accuracy

We are frequent customers of your Lee Branch location in Birmingham, Al (35242). In the last two months, we have had four orders that were delivered missing items. We had one instance where we called and asked for a manager to call back and got no response. Today, we called for a delivery at approximately 12:00 PM. We have yet to receive it at 1:30 and the family member it was for had to leave. Something is very wrong with the process. While we very much enjoy the food, we will consider other options first now. Thank you.

Panera Bread tuna

Omg I have eaten at so
many Panera Breads and have never had any problems here until now. I ate at the Panera Bread in West Ocean City Maryland tonight and I'm now in the bathroom throwing up. I had the tomato soup and half of a Tuna Sandwich. The sandwich was on the wrong bread. I asked for extra onions and there were literally two onions. The tuna tasted a little funny but I thought it was just my taste was off. Obviously I should have followed my instincts because it was definitely bad Tuna. I now have food poisoning. Worst experience ever!

Panera Bread Health violation

On monday, october 29th, approximately at 12:10 pm I stopped at your store in fort collins, co that was located on south college ave. I ordered some pastries of three varieties; bear claws, cherry?, and pecan rolls.
The attendant put all six in a box and I went happily on my way home. When I picked up a bear claw from the bottom of the box I put it on a napkin after I took a bite. Within seconds, there were ants moving all over the napkin out from under the pastry. I picked up the pastry to view the bottom and there were 10-20 ants dashing around. I looked back into the box and there was an abundance of additional ants squirmy about the pastries. Yuck - disgusted - overwhelmed - horror - I couldn't think what to do - especially since I had put an ant infested bear claw into my mouth and most likely one or two of those ants from the bottom of this pastry were now in my throat! I could hardly gather my thoughts, let alone think of how of get back to the store on college to inform them of this incident. I drove back to the store with fear and trepidation as I didn't want those ants to leave the box and get in my vehicle or on myself, again! I went into the store with box in my hands. Waiting to get to the counter and the same person who checked me out. In doing so, I turned on my phone to have the audio on to explain what happened to the clerk. She was not surprised and even said before I could say, "are there ants in there?" she threw the filled box into the trash immediately and went to get a manager, or someone in charge. He did not tell me his name, he did not ask me my name and offered a meager apology and then asked if I wanted my money back? Dah! Never offered anything else - I took my money back and left the store with absolute disgust thinking I do not live in a third world country - however, I think I just experienced something that would have occurred in one.
I have shopped at panera in fort collins for years and this has never, ever happened before. I'm seriously considering whether I should contact the health department for their inspection policies, procedures, etc. This is a serious health issue that could inflict serious consequences to someone who might have a comprised health issue. I thought I would contact your corporate offices, first since I believe you would have more impact on this store at this time.
What is your procedures for this store and it cleanliness and policies for a clean and healthy environment? Do you think I should call the health department? I'm not sure this hasn't happened before, because of the comment from the employee - "are there ants in there?" hmmmmmm she knew before I told her?
I have not attached the audio at this time because I would appreciate your contacting me first.

Please reply at your earliest possibility for this dilemma for the store and this customer.

Panera Bread location

Hello My name is Monique and I live in Burlington NJ 08016. I was wondering if you are ever going to put a Panera somewhere on rout 541 or Mt.Holly Rd in Burlington or Mount Holly NJ . Or maybe possibly in Willingboro NJ in the Willingboro Town Center 08048 Right off Route 130 N. Both of these locations are great and are needed. The closest we have is in MT. Laurel and Delran NJ and both are not as convenient than these two spaces. Just a suggestion. We have everything over here but you guys and it stinks. Please contact me if you all are ever considering these two locations. [protected]@yahoo.com

Panera Bread chicken noodle soup

I ordered Panera bread for lunch for my son and I. When we order it's always about $18-$20. I order using the Panera Bread app and we always take it home. When we got home everything was good except his soup there was literally one noodle in it. Which is pretty frustrating seeing that he's sick and was really excited about his soup today. And I'm not driving back today. We love Panera bread but is it worth the $9?!? For that?

Panera Bread autumn squash soup

I went through the drive through yesterday to get 2 soups to go. It took longer than normal to get my order. Didn't think much of it until I got home to eat it and discovered that the soup was extremely watered down. It appears to me that they took what was left of the soup and added water to it to make 2 bowls before sending it out the window to me. I have never been more disappointed

Panera Bread order incomplete

I ordered an Ancient Grain and Arugula Salad with Chicken in the drive thru. I got home, no chicken on the salad. I tried to let them know on their website, but of course they do not have a way for you to complain about their food. That made me angry. I would like to get a free salad WITH chicken. I am not going to drive all the way back and I did check to make sure a whole salad was in the bag but did not think I had to open it and inspect it to make sure all the ingredients were in there.

Panera Bread a manger

I went in a few days ago and was waiting in line to order. I was looking at all the bagels and the choices on the menu. when I placed my order I was waiting for it thats when I over heard one of you mangers being disrespectful about another customer not being able to speak English. I was disgusted and offended by him I have family members who can't speak English well . He even spoke to the employees about it and they all just looked at him. One of the girl workers making the food looked every uncomfortable around him. Panera shouldn't hire people who are going to talk about others especially customers I couldn't believe what I heard. I was so upset I couldn't even eat my food, I didn't want to eat something a disgusting human being would touch. I through it away and left. You needed to talk to that manger and get him under control!
