My fridge broke and asked them to fix it or replace it. Outsurance contacted me to inform me that they will replace the broken unit. I was told that I am going to get a replacement fridge. When the replacement fridge came, was it smaller and not of the same quality as my previous fridge.
I was told was I need to pay an excess amount of R5440 to the service provider, which I did. When the fridge was delivered, I noticed that its not the same or similar at all. It was smaller in capacity but was informed that it has more litre capacity as the broken fridge. Which i really find hard to believe. The value of the new fridge is R5499 and the excess amount was R5440. I informed Outsurance that if I knew I am going to get such a inferior unit, I would have never claimed, and bought the fridge myself, without claiming in the first place, to forfeit my outbonus.
I asked outsurance to reverse the claim, and for the service provider to fetch the unit from my house, as I am not even going to use it. My previous unit was a frost free unit, and know I am getting a fridge that is not frost free and making ice crystals as the back of the fridge in the inside behind the racks. Outsurance refuse to reverse the claim and told me that it is what it is. After all these years being a outsurance client. I am so sad, but I am already looking for another service provider to get me a similar service.
Desired outcome: Reverse my claim and get the service provider that supplied the inferior fridge, to refund me my excess or give a fridge of my choice.
