Changing the flight dates !!!
THIS IS THE WORST online booking I've ever made !
I'm trying to reach OPODO through the mentioned contact on the web, but with no respond, on the phone, email and through the useless robot system Chris.
my flight in in 2 days and I need to postpone it, and this is not doable directly with the airline, since I UNFORTUNATLY dealt with opodo as a platform.
I need a reply ASAP, or this will really escalade to a higher level.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, and i do believe this web should shut down !

Flight Cancellation
I have had the worst experience dealing with Opodo.
They are a bunch of SWINDLERS, FRAUDSTERS and CHARLATANS.
They expect me to wait 50 minutes before I can talk to an agent. They deduct 20% from the original payment for cancellation and they also tell me that I have to wait 3 months for a part payment refund. Yet, they take less than 1 minute to take money from my account. They try to force my to download their app to see the progress of my refund. This is all not necessary and totally unacceptable.
Please, Please avoid these charlatans at any cost, if you value your sanity.

A non confirmed flight
Yesterday i booked a flight, from geneva to Lisboa. The flight would be today at 13:25. it is now 9:00 and i still have no confirmation. The helpdesk is not Helpful at all, the only sentence they say throughout the whole conversation is „mam u have to wait, we have 24 hours to confirm“ if u try to explain that m’y Flight is before those 24 hours, they dont Care. I have even told them to cancel so i can book something else, but as the only sentence they know „u have to wait“
Never Ever again and i will make sure no one in my Surroundings flies with them.

Ignoring the problem, no answering by phone
Opodo booking reference [protected]. Round trip ticket within one day: 10:20 Larnaca - Vienna (Ryanair airlines), 20:40 Vienna - Larnaca (Austrian airlines). Date of the both flights - July, 21 2022.
Flight Larnaca - Vienna was delayed until 21.30 (!). Of course I couldn't make my full trip and canceled my trip.
I was trying to reach Opodo customer services by phone. I couldn't speak with their managers even though I called several times. Waiting time was 30 minutes and more.
I've tried to have conversation through online chat. I was told that there were no delays on this flight. It was on time. But it's a lie! It is very easy to check this information.
It was very rude and unprofessional!
Desired outcome: I claim full refund.
Car rental
I arrived in Palma airport to collect my car from OK mobility to be told I was a no show and had to re hire a car from them directly. Having reflected on this booking and the failure for it to be realised. I have becone increasingly angry.
You sent me an email on 06/07/2022 and when I received it I tried at least four times to enter the “manage my booking” section of the site to be repeatedly told that such a booking could not be found. Why was this? I assumed this was just a glitch and thought nothing if it. I now wonder if my mistake had been spotted by you with my flight details and deliberately cancelled as a no show.
I therefore could not cancel nor could I change the timing for collection of the booking. I have my search history to prove this and if you do your due diligence you will find this also to be true.
Had I managed to change the collection time I would not be a further 1161 euros out of pocket.
Given your failure to uphold your contract for hire and allow me to change my booking or cancel online 24 hours before the booking I expect a full refund or at least the 90% return that you contractually are obliged to. I expect a reply by return please.

Only partial refund paid a cancelled flight
I booked a return flight package from Portugal to Brazil in the Opodo travel agency and did a single transaction.
I could not travel to Brazil because the outbound flight got cancelled because Portugal banned all flights to/from Brazil (https://crisis24.garda.com/alerts/2021/01/portugal-authorities-ban-flights-with-brazil-effective-jan-29-feb-14-to-curb-the-spread-of-new-covid-19-variant-update-29).
I asked Opodo for the refund. I only got a partial refund for the outbound flight. Opodo says that I am not entitled to the compensation for the inbound flight as that took place and I should have been there, which I think does not make any since with the outbound flight cancelled and the ban lasted for most of the travel period.
Desired outcome: Can you please help me get the rest of the refund?

Flight cancelled and no refund
We have booked a returned ticket to Romania in December 2020. Along with this we also paid an Insurance which was supposed to cover the refund in case the flight was cancelled. We have received the refund for the return flight which was a smaller amount then the other flight. I have been trying to contact Opodo so many times that I got tired. In the beginning they told me they have submitted the request and waiting for the flight company to respond.
The weird thing is that I have received an email from the company saying my refund money should be in my account which didn't happen because I booked it through Opodo. So the refund money went to them.
It's been 1.5 years and still nothing. I am trying to contact them through chat and I only get the automated robot which says it will take up to 3 months to get my refund.
We paid £1381.51 in total, from which £97.92 was the insurance and we got refunded £445.66 for the refund flight. We are still awaiting for the rest and we have lost hope a long time. I just don't find it fair at all. And I will never use Opodo never in my life. Especially trust their "insurance"

timeline sat received a email from opodo informing me the return leg bkk to ams via vie on 2 nd jan 2023 had been cancelled and can i get in touch , which i did , 3 times and over 4 1/2 hours getting nowhere , all i asked for was an alternative flight options to get us back to ams by pm on 2/nd jan 2023 , i dont mind coming back a day early ( 1st jan if necessary ) , i tried using your chatbot , this told me there was no issues but youre email i received from you on say 9 th july told me a flight ad been cancelled and this was highlighted on the app ( see attached pictures) all i wanted was a few alternative flght options sending to me and an email i can return the chosen alternative flight details back to opodo not a lot to ask , but all the stuff you send is on a no reply email ,,, this is a joke , i also have attached a screen shot of the app which informs me the case has been resolved , NO IT HASNT

Cancelation of flight with no notice
We were due to fly from Manchester to Southampton from terminal 3 on Monday 11th July 2022 @ 09.30am and returning at 15.45pm on the same day. Booking reference number:-[protected]. We arrived in the airport to find there was no flight only the returning flight? You emailed me to say there had been a change with our flights there was no link or explanation, I checked my Opodo app and there were no changes to the flight, I checked over the weekend no changes in my app, and checked at the airport and it was still showing the flights on my app. I came back to work and printed my flight details still showing your booking is confirmed with the flight details? Opodo I also hired a car Booking number GB615041520 Flight number T3 806, impossible to get through to cancel the car hire.
I'm appalled as I was taking an elderly man to see his dying sister this just added to the stress and upset at this sensitive time.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund as soon as possible please to the cards that were used for the flight and car. Many thanks

The money was taken from my account o n 10th July and I made my purchase from Opodo on 10th June for a return flight to Bangkok where I work. I since made another booking with Opodo and again and I am not aware of using Prime.
I have booked two flights recently using OPODO prime app. I paid for the flights and all was OK until I am suddenly billed for 59.99 pounds for a service that I have no idea at all about. I cannot get any help with Customer Service as I have tried for long hours to speak with someone as I live abroad.
I previously attached the relevant bank statement and the response from Opodo.
Please tell me what else you need as I do not know what further information is required.

Customer Service - adding baggage
I've booked a set of four flights via Opodo's app. Throughout the booking process it consistently states that 'not to worry you can add baggage through manage m booking once confirmation is complete'. I obviously believed this to be a true and accurate statement. I have since found out that this is incorrect, via 2 hours online with bots and customer advisors, three phone calls to customer services lasting in total 2 hrs.
Firstly during this call they Sonia that this couldn't be done until the online check-in (24 hours prior to departure). I explained numerous times that this isn't as sold on their app but they simply blame the airline. I've explained that my contract if with them an I expect them to honour their statement and arrange for my baggage to be added. I used a travel agent website so I wouldn't have to be dealing with separate airlines and have additional stress.
During this call (made 08/07/[protected]@approx 173:05 hours) that finally they could resolve it and add the baggage. All they would require is a fee of £111. I was happy to pay as I believed that this would resolve the issue and calm my anxiety. They have then taken the money and then advised that they cant do it and that it will take between 3-5 working days for the money to be refunded!
I am clearly very unhappy with the option and service provided so I asked to speak to a supervisor. During this 2nd call Geedika advises that the only way to solve this issue is to cancel and reissue my tickets with additional costs of £150! I asked how I can make formal complaints and was simply told complain to Opodo.
I then am transferred to an alleged further supervisor Cekesh who would not answer any questions and proceeded to have a conversation with a colleague in a different language. When I advised him that this was unacceptable the pretended that he couldn't hear me and hung up.
At this stage I don't even think my complaint is simply about baggage, its now also about the disrespectful way I have been treated

The flight advertised as KLM for both legs. The 1st leg however was another airline (Transavia Airlines). Only after purchase did you say that, because the 1st leg was a separate airline and that I'd have to go to baggage collection, wait for my baggage to appear and collect it, go out through security and redrop luggage, then go back through passport control and security, get across the airport and catch the 2nd flight. All this in 40 mins. This would simply not be possible in the available time so I cancelled flight. The flight inc fees cost 1,382.44 euros. You have offered me only 783.33 euros refund (57% of the costs, not 80%). I had the 'Cancel for any reason guarantee' which offers 80% of flight costs. However, you have also deducted the Opodo fees from the refund which I don't think this is appropriate in this instance considering you misrepresented the flight by stating it was KLM for the full travel from Larnaca to Leeds (both legs) not 'multiple airlines' as you did on the other flights identified in the flight search. KLM flights for both legs would have automatically transferred our luggage without the need to collect it and redrop it. It would therefore have been possible to connect with the 2nd leg of the journey from Amsterdam to Leeds Bradford in the 40mins between flights.
I accept that the 20% excess fee is deducted as that was in the Guarantee, but the Opodo fee is certainly excessive bearing in mind that the flight was misrepresented

I booked an air ticket for my son via Opodo with Wizz Air April 2022. My son is 13, Opodo registered him as an adult. At the check-in desk he was denied boarding as Wizz Air classified him as a child (they had his date of birth). Opodo booked him wrongly and misled us. We have not been granted a refund as Opido say we should have checked Wizz Air age rules-but Opodo's website gave false information. What can we do? We want compensation for new flights, enforced night at hotel and taxi costs.

I am very upset and confused to find a £59.99 charge on my Barclaycard made 9th June by Opodo Prime. I have been on to the Opodo website and they are either not responding or unable to help. I have booked flights with Jet2 in May and have a reference of [protected]. Who are Opodo and what do you have to do with my flight booking? I have no need for any Opodo services. I have advised my credit card company to investigate. I would like an immediate refund of £59.99 to my account.

My dreadful experience started when I booked a flight to Egypt, Cairo back in May 2020 via Egypt Air using Opodo website (Booking Number:# [protected])
Due to covid, the flight was cancelled and a voucher was issued with 1 year validity. As everyone knows, covid lasted long after 1 year and the borders remained closed. When the expiry date was closing in, I requested a voucher extension or a full refund, which seemed reasonable enough.
For the last year Opodo has confirmed that they will issue my "approved refund" in 7-10 business days whilst I, the apparent 'idiot' in all of this transaction, check my account everyday waiting for this supposed refund with no luck.
I call about 3 times a monthhanded in all my bank account details and all I hear and have wasted a lot of money in international calls. I have screamed, cried and begged for a direct and honest answer from Opodo, but all I get from their customer service team is "wait 72hrs and the refund should be with you"!
Is this a joke? By far the worst experience in my life! Dont buy from Opodo! Air Egypt has already handed over the money to Opodo (I have this confirmation in writting from Air Egypt) , so where is my money?!?
Two years and 1 month after my initial booking, I am still waiting for a refund of more than £1,500! The amount of stress this has caused me and my family is beyond explanation!
More than 2 years have passed and Opodo hasn't solved my case. Even the online team's response is "...our team is already working on it and it will be resolved on priority. I can see that they are working on your request that was escalated."
I want my refund! I no longer trust Opodo and highly dont recommend them. I am have filed a complaint in Resolver.co.uk and am also starting a lawsuit against Opodo.
