NuVision had employees canvassing our neighborhood, going door to door to point out windshield damage. I'll start by saying I've worked door to door in the past, I know the grind, & I respect it. Which is why I threw my rep, Joshua Adams a bone.
I told him at the start, that I didn't care about the windshield damage (small chips from some rocks getting kicked up), but I agreed to a replacement out of wanting to be kind and my understanding of going door to door. I told him my lone stipulation was that I did not want to have to pay for my windshield to get retinted, and that I didn't want to have to wrestle with my insurance company to get retinted. I told him if he agreed to pay for my retint, I would go through with the replacement. He agreed. I called my tint guy right in front of him, scheduled it, and asked my tint guy how much he was going to charge for just the front windshield. He replied $90, which Josh heard and agreed to.
My windshield was replaced on July 14th. I texted Josh and told him that the windshield was replaced and that my tint guy was coming on Friday the 18th. He acknowledged my text and said just let him know when it was done. I texted him Friday morning when my tint guy arrived to let him know, I sent him a picture of my guy working, and I sent him a picture of the job done. Again he acknowledged my message. I asked him if he would like to pay my guy himself and gave him several options on how to do that. Josh replied with "stand by". I didn't hear from Josh for the rest of the day.
I've worked door to door and I've made arrangements with customers. The difference is, I kept my word on my arrangements. This morning I texted Josh again, expressing my frustration. In my text I gave Josh another chance to pay me before coming to the review board. I'm here typing this so clearly He did not step up to the plate. So through this all, I had to carve out time in my busy schedule to replace a windshield, get retinted, and I'm down $110 (I tip my tint guy). This isn't about the money or the inconveniences, It's about the lack of integrity that I've experienced with NuVision. You have guys out there that will do whatever for the commission, even at the cost of the customer. Bad business is bad business and I would not recommend.
